Is there a specific spot these guys spawn? Read thru the posts and didn't see a mention of it. I killed two around the dock area and haven't seen any since. Any help always appreciated!
got both a talisman of the spiritseer and a shell inlaid collar from 2 crusty's right in a row 2 days ago, first one dropped talisman and i was like yay finally, then 2nd one dropped the collar, and i was like wow. one happy druid.
Got a pile of scales tonite. is there a use? no entry on Alakazam for it. The taelosian tea leaves are used in brewing, to make (go figure!) tea. used in the freebie abysmal sea brewing skill-ups, then you can make white, green or black tea, and mixed with ginseng or mint. I have made all types, and each has decent stats.
yeah, this works. i pulled one up behind the camp and fear kited it, but the key is to fear it, beat it for a while, back up and wait for it to come back to you. b/c it doesn't have much space to wander without getting adds.
rinse and repeat. i did this with only self buffs, and it did do a number on my mana, because i was dotting and nuking it as well
but possible, for this 53 ranger at least. not bad xp for soloing, and i got a sapphire from it. has a lot of hp... swarm of pain did about 5% to it all together, so these guys have between 5-6k hps. they hit me (with my low 924 AC) for anywhere between 18 - 165 tops (i'd say average of 120 per hit). but it hits frequently enough that it easily would take me down in 10 to 20 seconds if i weren't fear kiting it. when it resists a fear, it frequently costs me about 10% of my hp.
Been hunting these solo for some time now as a 55 ranger with good gear, virtue and KEI. They are the easiest to solo of all creatures in the Broken shore due to the fact that root does hold for the normal length of time as does snare. resists are very low, so my dots and nukes also land. I typically root, dot, and shoot till they drop to about 40% then melee down till they attempt to flee at 20%. There are two easy single pulls in the water that I pull into the camp at the far end opposite where the cragwalkers spawn. never had an add. The others at the oppsosite end I always have an add so avoid.
For the quest I reccomend foraging in between the two kills, about 12 minute spawn, experience is about 1 1/2% per kill or more, makes a nice lil camp/quest while LFG for LDoN as its a quick jump to Nedaria's Landing and then any camp.
Been soloing these with a 56 Ranger, without virtue & kei. They are animals so fear kiteing is more mana efficent than, just root rotting (or do both).
Been killing mobs in Nati since the expansion and always heard rumors of the FT1 necklace and finally got it today from a crusty near the Wayfarer camp. So yes it does exist, woot!
They hit just as hard as any GoD mob in natimbi. They are regualr spawns, under water, and can be pulled onto land. Their common drop is spell research material, uncommon is useless body parts-except the gland, and rare are zone rares and gems.
They do not seem to be as MR as the other mobs. Root usually lasts the duration and lands the first time.
the shells you you are seeking are foraged not real common got 4 in 2 days but can't seem to get the gland needed been hunting reef guys for 2 days and have yet to loot one of those have lots of No Drop stuff from these but no Gland
