This item is insane, hell you can twink a caster and make it a tank for the lower levels. Believe me casters are far better off as tanks between 1 and 30. Not only that, this item is even great all the way to 60, you may not even replace it then. This here is very sweet. My chanter at 12 has more ac and hp then many tanks, this would be a killer addition. It can solo yellows without casting a single spell
Yah chances are this is never gonna leave your guild IF whoever gets them gets an upgrade(which is doubtful in itself since these are some of the very best caster arms in the game) in the high end game mana is king except for necroes and shamans, when you start getting phat items like this you'll have to try hard to not get over 240 int/wis hehe. And second is HP/resits for AE and modding. These have it all.
Do you guys know anything at all of how the game is played or are you just talking to make yourselves feel good about yourselves? Anything, I repeat anything droppable ends up on a twink. No guild is going to check your gear to make sure you still have it, no guild is going to watch the market, and if they did see it up for sale they are not going to accuse you unless your dumb enough to use your own main to do the auctioning. Also if a caster that won this wants to stick this on an alt they wanna level up fast for temporary use or to switch mains, no one in the guild should argue.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but *usually* gear that drops off of level 65 uber-mobs does not get used to twink casters. In fact it most often wont even leave the guild that kills the mob, much less get sold via /auc.
A guild capable of taking down this nasty SoB will already have casters with 255 Int. After that it's all about +Saves, +Mana, and +HP. They're all gonna want these sleeves- bet on it.
Depends on the class. :) For wizards, it's all about mana. Bigger mana burn = better. Health should be low on the priority list, imo. Just enough to stay alive. Good thing this has 100 mana! That's like 15 post 200 int.
For me, as a necro, health is king. Int and mana mean nothing to me. Just that a lot of the high end health gear I get happens to have both on it wich is nice. :) This thing has 55 health AND 20 sta. Best caster health arms in the game. Spirit wracked cords don't count. They serve you better on your wrist.
So these may not be the BEST wizard arms in the game but I don't know any that would pass them up. :)
You're right, Sag. Trust us on this guys. These will NOT go to twinks or get sold unless someone gets exiled from their guild and decides to quit the game and gets rid of all their dropable gear.
Reegor, high HP is high on priority list for everyone :) AoE's hurt alot, and wizards often solo, and get hit.
Also, 20 sta isnt THAT much hp for an int class. As a shm (wis caster) i get about 3 hp per sta, so (20 x 3) + 65 = 125 hp, which is NOT the most hp on an arm slot for an int caster.
Well, WHEN I get this raid item for my main, I'm not going pass up the opertunity to use it to twink for temporary use. Hell I might even use it to twink a friends alt. And after I hit the soft cap I start focusing on other stuff, I don't hit 255 cause that 55 int can be worth more then 6 mana a hit. Also int isn't my biggest concern, if I'm going on a raid with an AE cold based mob I will drop below 200 for cold resists. BTW every droppable item can be bought and sold, you usually look for something like this in a guild vault.

imagine a ring with the stats: +8int +45mp +10hp +4svf -8str now multiply that by two see the -16str now take a look at your current str and wt and tell me how easy you find it to become encumbered
+35 str would be hellawesome in my book just depends on what the rest of your gear is dont judge a peice solely by its self
Im on a pvp server, and I must say, I'd be damned happy to have all those resists, plus some mana and hp to boot. All of you on your damned bluebies would never understand...=(
/em shakes fist at all the non-pvpers =P
Bindabik Mezzabik 40th Enchanter Vallon Zek <Myth and Legends>
P.S. I know Ill never end up seeing this item anyway, so no use ripping into me about it =)
very nice for a pure caster 35 str could come in handy speically when you dueling a shaman considering the str debuff they can do would make you immoblieized if your str is low but if you messed up on your character like me this would come in handy if i was a nec mage wiz or chanter and not too bad ac it could be better though
Actually, between 200 and 250 (maybe 255) int, you only get 6 mana per point as far as I understand.
So if you are over 200 int it would take 100/6, or over 16 int to get 100 mana. And of course, all of those 16 points of int are pushing you towards the new soft cap.
Add 55 hp, 20 sta for more hp, a damn nice ac for a caster cloak, some very nice resists, and heck--some str to raise the enc limit and you get some VERY nice caster sleeves.
What are you guys talking about, these might be good for a melee...melee CAN'T USE THEM. Gee, a Cobalt BP would be nice for my chanter, I'd love all that ac!

Good greif! Imagine, a caster with more stamina and strenght than a warrior! (hehe - j/k) But it does bring them close. Necros dream would be my guess, all others drool. Because I am! A worthy item to go after! Gratz to those who has one!
35str on an item!! That is what you call CRAZY! I think VI is trying to let you INT casters melee a bit more. Great resists, nice STA, HP and Mana bonuses too. This thing will probably run for upwards of 50k, lol.
Well a warrior with Cobalt armors is like a low lvl caster in it self so heck why not a meleeing caster? =) But what I got to say for this item is, OMG super twink item!!! LOL =P
excellent item for the caster that has maxed out int. The resists are mind boggling, and the str is to die for. This screams meleer, but the casters do need to beef up some
Sorry for being too obvious, but these are SWEET. No int, made up for with the 100 mana but nearly everything else a puny caster could ever need in one item. I mean how much loot could you carry while wearing these puppies! not to mention those tasty resists!! Look at 'em and weep Monks :P
