I am a smith seemingly stuck at 169 forever. I have made 3 belts 2 boots 3 cloaks a BP legs 2 arms so far. It can be made at 169. Biggest obstacle to me is finding sufficient Ivory.
As for why would a war want it? well.. he wouldnt be able to wear the Tribunal stuff he would want the Northman Rallos Zek stuff ( imbued jade?) different stats for the blade users.

I haven't had to much of a problem in finding Ivory. I've been lucky I guess in finding them with merchants who sell stones. The main obsticle I've been coming up with is the Essence of Winter. Since they're not a very common drop and you need two per Frost Temper, and the fact that it's hard to get a spot in Permafrost, makes it pretty hard; at least on Pover anyways. If anyone knows a quicker way in getting the Essence of Winter.....please by all means....send me a email.
Those yetis in Dreadlands are easier and drop more Essence of Winter than the Ice Giants in PF.

For ivory I have found that evil eyes in the gorge seem to drop ivory fairly often(for an uncomman drop or even rare . I am not sure). Also I normaly pay vendors around 9pp for them, most often found around the the gorge and even FV/lake of ill omen area although I have only had one drop from a surnak that I can remember. That and as of the edit date I killed some 20 or so giants and they droped more ivory than they did essence of winter so. May have been luck
I worship Tribunal so despite what I said about being replaced at low lvls, I do use a Northman mask right now.

I'm wondering what skill lvl your skills have to be to make this thing. And what skills are needed to make this fine armor.
I made a full set of non-imbued at skill 169. This was 12 pieces and took 19 attempts.
It is generally the case the imbued have the same dificulty as the non-imbued.
General advice is to max out on banded before making this, thoug the easy pieces can be attempted earlier.

Full suits of Northman Armor with a 169 skill (about 65% success rate given in above example) is very possible. At time of this posting my skill is only 152 and i get about 25% succes the trivs for Northman armor are right around 175 or 179. Use the address below to go to a page that has them listed.
Why so easy to make? I think because they can be replaced at fairly low levels (15 to 30) with better equipment.
When I was level 7 a teen lvl char gave me a +3str collar he got from a gnoll he killed in BlackBurro. So why would I (as a warrior)want a 200-300pp nothman collor at +1str +2wis? I wouldn't.

LOL, good luck making a full set of imbued at 169, hehe, same trivials...
Well, the way it goes with the Cabilis scaled at least (iksar only) the cloak and hardest piece not imbued trivials at 202 (what my skill is at) However, NOTHING of the imbued is trivial to me yet, and i would imagine imbued cloaks would trivialize around 242 if it is anything like the fineplate trivials anywho, well just my two cp, might be different with all the racial armor and stuff, but i wouldn't imagine the trivials would be that much different from one another from race to race. Good luck making a whole imbued set at 169 though...
