The faction modifier is apparently required. You say, 'Hail, Jarik K`Ahndar' Jarik K`Ahndar says 'Hullo there, knave. You wish to help our fortunes here in Kithicor? You wish to advance the cause of the 'Thaulen Teir`Duuren'? If you're not afraid to get your hands a little bloody, I have some dirty work that needs doing. [Interested]?' You say, 'I am interested.' Jarik K`Ahndar says 'Good, good. We don't have the money to put bounties on the heads of the enemy commanders; that would interfere with our infiltration strategy, which is already in motion. What we'll do instead is send you behind enemy lines and kill a few of the civilians hanging around the enemy headquarters camp. That way, we don't risk alerting the main warcamps and starting the main battle prematurely. [Understand]?' You say, 'I understand.' Jarik K`Ahndar says 'So we go after the loved ones of the enemy commanders. When the enemy sees that they are so vulnerable and weak that they cannot even keep us from killing the ones they are trying to protect, their spirits will plummet, and hopefully they will strike out blindly at us, and we will defeat them in detail. Are you still [keen] on carrying out this little scheme? It is harsh, but it might save us many lives if it works.' You say, 'I am still keen.' Jarik K`Ahndar says 'Good. I have a short list of names, our spy in the enemy camp was nearly caught getting this to us. Tirabeth Mergon is the wife of Thanuel Mergon, who is the commander of the Dragonheart regiment. You may find her on the path between Dragonheart's camp and the headquarters of the enemy army. The second target is Mitor Errinthol, the grown son of Kedrik Errinthol. He is a Kithicor Forest Ranger patrolling the woods not far from his father's unit, the Highpass Guards regiment. The third target is Halana Aalthene, sister of Banesman Aalthene, the commander of the Qeynos Gnollslayers; she can be found in one of the houses near the Gnollslayers' camp.' You have been assigned the task 'Enemies of the Teir`Dal'. Find Tirabeth Mergon and collect her head. 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) She is found on the road where Jarik said. When agroed two adds called "an Army of Light Defender" and "an Army of Light soldier" spawn. Tirabeth Mergon says 'Ambush! Guards help me!' All three mobs can be rooted. Note that all target mobs (including adds) carry the same faction hits (- Army of Light; + Silla Herald). Find Mitor Errinthol and collect his head. 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) He can be found on a hill near the Highpass Guards regiment camp. Location -540.12, -854.13, 86.84. Map point: P 857.4308, 540.4593, 84.2275, 0, 0, 0, 2, Mitor_Errinthol Mitor Errinthol says 'People of the forest! Aid me now and show these fools what happens to those who seek to harm our home!' He spawns two adds, which can be forest rangers, guardians, skirmishers, or a mix of them. Find Halana Alathene and collect her head. 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) Halana Alathene is found in a house at loc: -842.40, -525.21, -6.06 Map point: P 519.3088, 845.7986, -9.2142, 0, 0, 240, 2, Halana_Aalthene She doesn't spawn any adds, though the mobs in and around the house will assist her. Deliver Tirabeth Mirgon's head to Jarik K`Ahndar. 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) Your task 'Enemies of the Teir`Dal' has been updated. Deliver Mitor Errinthol's head to Jarik K`Ahndar. 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) Your task 'Enemies of the Teir`Dal' has been updated. when pulling the 1st on list Tirabeth, she pops 2 adds. If you drop agro on them and re-agro her 2 more will add in. I have tried splitting them, and had 6 at most.

The way it is listed is a solo task because it shows up in your quest window under your solo type tasks. Whether or not the mission is difficult and requires a group will not change the fact that the quest itself is classified as a solo task. What one person in your group does (ie loots) will not affect credit assigned to your task (kill credits excluded). Since this mission has you collecting heads to show this mission any other way than solo would be misleading. Hope that helps you understand how quests get their task designations for solo and group and raid.
Pretty much cake for an 85 necro.
Two of the three Named spawn two or three adds during the fight that come from nearby to help, so watch it. Never tried the third, but it's a safe bet you'll have to deal with the adds.
