Just when I thought we might be able to contend with the Dark Elf army, I receive word that they are bringing on more reinforcements through the Commonlands. Before our leaders can decide what to do next, we must [know] what is out there.' You say, 'We must know' Diennic Lightheart says 'Speak to Armsmaster Vohlen, he has been wanting to get this task in motion for hours.' You have been assigned the task 'Shadows of Kithicor'. Diennic Lightheart requires a reconnaissance of the forest before the impending battle. Of particular urgency are the locations of three of the vanguard regiments of the Army of Obliteration. Speak with Armsmaster Vohlen 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) You say, 'Hail, Armsmaster Vohlen' Your task 'Shadows of Kithicor' has been updated. Armsmaster Vohlen says 'Ah, glad that Diennic is finally putting more than words into this task. I will need you to perform a reconnaissance of the forest, behind the enemy front lines. I need to know the locations of the two new Dark Elf regiments recently arrived from the Commonlands, as well as the position of Lanys T'Vyl's headquarters camp. It will be difficult, to say the least. You will need to move silently and watch constantly for enemy patrols. Be careful out there, it wouldn't do for you to be killed before I can give you more missions.' Locate Tarith's Maul Regiment 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) Updates at /loc 1032, -2172, -3. Locate Feerott Longblades Regiment 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) Updates at /loc 1338, -2416, 3. Locate Lanys T'Vyls Headquarters Camp 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) Updates at /loc 483, -2733, -19. Kill 5 Obliteration Sentinals 0/5 (Bloody Kithicor) These are located near 667, -2467, 23. You take the following faction hits: Your faction standing with Thaulen Teir'Duuren got worse. Your faction standing with Silla Herald got better. Return back to Diennic Lightheart 0/1 (Bloody Kithicor) You say, 'Hail, Diennic Lightheart' Your task 'Shadows of Kithicor' has been updated. Need at least Indifferent. Bard alliance went from Dubious to Indifferent and was able to obtain. Tried all of the chanter illusions on a dark elf ... no luck ...
You have to be at the very least level 70 or 71 to obtain this quest.

the sentinels are grouped together just west of the lanys' camp. they all conned green at 85 and were easily soloable as a wizard. no snare resists, etc
