Tome is used for the Iksar Warrior ONLY Leggings, Trooper scale, check my Magelo, im wearing them, really nice, but i hate having to buy the gems with 42ish chr

He spawns right beside the Chancellor, I believe he has a placeholder though I'm not sure. I've seen a recruit standing in a similar spot. Only seen him up twice in about eleven Chancellor kills.

with the help of a 44 druid i took him down as my 29 SK... on second try anyway. i died both tries. WE rolled, he won the Iron Bound Tomb and i won a Sarnak Eitchaka (secondary only magic 1hs 7/33 3dex 15hp claws)

53sk ruled him and his pet after they buffed themselves. resisted all his casts. didnt loose half a bub of hp.
40 save magic 1k ac 2khp. useing sword of pain. no buffs.
he lasted maybe 1min

As of 10-26-01 the iron bound tome is bugged... the effect on the item is Cancel Magic. There are 2 seperate yet related bugs on this effect:
1. Random Proc. not Triggerered as it should be.
2. Casts on yourself instead on the Target.

Well it seems that this isn't a bug as I thought but rather it's as VI intended it to be... The only 2 classes that it might be good for are warriors and monks when they solo. Because they dont buff themselves (unless it's a item effect), and then good for dispelling dots and what not.

The Iron Bound tome is used in the Iksar Warrior Trooper Scale Greaves quest in Cabilis. Return the tome and two star rubies to Master Xydoz in the necro guild for your 'recommendation' - this then goes to the one of the Arcuts in the Overthere along with banded greaves for your Trooper Scale.

You might want to mention that he has a pet. I took him down with 3 starfires. Really easy kill for a 51 druid

I killed him at 53 (while camping the prod) and while I never really broke a sweat (he couldn't hit me hard enough to interupt casting) I was suprised at how badly injured I was at the end, and how difficult his gtm pet was.
The tome seems a bit lame, but I guess it's nice to walk around 2-fisted bookish and all.
