I think they must have improved the spawn rate a lot. Doing this for two clerics at once, he spawned on the 8th and 12th pops, so around three hours total. You can bind in his room so just gate back every 15 minutes or so and watch for him to appear.

The real important question here is HOW do these goblins sleep in the little beds they have?
Started camp at 10am. He spawned at 745pm. 9-3/4 hours or, at 15 minutes a pop, approximately 39 repops.

Found that both the shaman and a large fire goblin are the ph. respawn time of ph was more like 15 minutes and 35 seconds.

This was a 36 hour camp for my cleric. Info on here is correct.

Jan 2 2021 camped this guy for about 5-6 hours, killing the placeholders on both opposite sides of the stairs each time they popped. Seemed like a painful wait despite working on other things around the house in the 16 minutes between pops.
Jan 3, 2021, got bored and cleared the zone once of gobbies; pulled them all back to the Giblox room. And whaddya know, while I'm dealing with the pile of them, Gimblox pops up to join the party. Don't know if there might be some sort of link, in the likelihood of his spawning, to how many other goblins you're killing? Or perhaps something to do with killing the false "Solusek goblin king" mob one room over? https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=3526
It's a pretty ring, despite smelling like goblin sweat.

Well....going on 12 hours now consistent & no Gimblox. Very annoying & the location was confirmed both by coordinates & the map. I just hope it still spawns or isn't broken.
Lord Gimblox spawned twice within a 2 hour period, and I was able to get two rings from him for both of my clerics. I consider myself lucky. (On Rizlona)

Seems to be about 17 minutes on the timer, now. Gimblox spawned after 4 PH's.

If anyone has the ear of Daybreak they should speak to them about this spawn.
This is for Epic 1; not 2.0 and the spawn rate should be better. I decided to get XP for this guy since I was going for epic 1.0 and found my way to the room; luckily it is very clearly marked on the map.
I camped him for three days then life got in the way and then I would pop in when I got back to computer. Of course as I expected; I lost the room to some higher level cleric; not upset for those reading this and thinking that is way I am ranting. I am ranting about the spawn rate.
It has been almost 5 days and it seems that there still is no spawn. It should not take over a week for a spawn. I have seen post of his place holder but I put to you that if the holder spawns ever 10 to 20 min; and the do; and the main does not spawn even after a week; can you call them a place holder. Yes the time I spent there a Large Fire goblin, Fire Goblin Shaman and several others of the same type did spawn; but no Lord Gimblox.
Time to get this guy out of bed after 24 hours so we all have a chance at his ring.

I think this spawn is absolutely insane. A bottleneck would be an improvement! This is trying to drag an elephant through an eyedropper. I have waited 6 hours just to GET the camp from someone that had it for 23 hours WITHOUT ONE SPAWN.

I thought consolidating the information for people playing on TLPs might be helpful, so here goes. I've been camping Gimblox for guildies/MQ in preparation for Kunark (Lockjaw TLP) for about a day (1 ring so far, 35 minutes into the camp...what?), and I've noticed a couple things. The spawn location that Kylwen mentions is correct. The spawn timer for Gimblox and his PHs appears to be 15:30, not the 19 minutes mentioned in previous posts. I ran a 19 minute timer as well as a stopwatch on my phone and there would be a pop every 15 and a half minutes. Also, Gimblox has two PHs: the fire goblin shaman as well as "large fire goblin".

After reading varying information, I decided to post accurate up to date info.
EqAtlas Map Between 17 and 18, the throne room. Only negative coordinates in this zone as stated. Took about 5 respawns to get him to spawn, on north side of room. Room has 3 spawns, north side, south side, and on floor in center.

They certainly changed the spawn rate since the last time I did this. Started a 85 cleric and my epic 1.0; this is the fist step since I always considered this the hardest. Took less then 3 hours to spawn compare to the 3 to 5 day spawn back in 2012.

19 minute camp.
Lord Gimp can spawn on both sides of the room. I got mine on the opposite side confirmed.
I think this is the most horrible camp ever I have had to do. Day 3 and still no Gimblox. No sleep either, I have been on this day and night!

Been camping Inferno Goblin Wizards for 2 days looking for the Heart of Fire, and because I also have a Cleric, I have been killing Lord Gimblox's placeholder for 2 days. No heart and no Gimblox yet.....
EDIT: Finally, the heart dropped, 67th kill. Still no Gimblox however.
EDIT2: Day 3, Gimblox finally popped. Never want to see this zone again!!

Been working on my box cleric quest, and this guy took 24 hours (about, the server went down for the tuesday update of course), finally spawned and killed him a few minutes ago on FV server. Luckily I had my cleric camped in the spot so he was able to loot it... this is one of the items on FV that is No Trade so make SURE you are there to loot it.

After 33 hours straight of killing the PH every 19 minutes he spawned and dropped the ring. I consider myself an extremely patient person but this camp almost got the better of me. Good luck fellow clerics, you are going to need it.

set up an additional toon to camp this guy while camping Bergurgle. Started at 8:35 this morning and still no spawn. Taking out the ph only at both camps. will update later.

pretty sure if u can get this guy in less then 8 hours, you can consider yourself lucky, took me 2+ days to get it for my cleric... XD

This was much nicer than camping Bergurgle, which took me several weekends.
What I did was bring my 51 cleric and her tank merc to Grimblox's room, which sounds hard to find but it's really not that complicated. I parked them both on the left sofa, /afk'd and kept my "lord" audiotrigger up from camping in Lake Rathe before. I got lucky and within half an hour, I heard my audiotrigger going off. He died very quickly.
Just a simple strategy that many others on here have mentioned using; there really isn't a better way to do it.
