boted 75 ranger 75 clr... none of the cold spells landed on my ranger though they did land on my clr.. ranger had 471 cold .. that was unbuffed clr had 307 and was unbuffed.. did the whole event with just clr tenacity and ranger buff at 12.3k hp max hit from giant was prob 800 tops.. avg 200- 600 took about 15min for whole event .. duo'd
He died from 167456 damage in 4 mins and 42 seconds. A high hit of 852 suggests an unshielded (I.e with no defence AAs or armor) max hit of 900-1000. Quads. Summons. Rampages. Partially slowable with Earthcaller. Snareable. Rootable.
He cast Gale of the West Wind on me but never landed today. Cold resist was 471 when i fought him. Seems the spell has a knockback to it, but is easy to resist

Thought I would add in my experience. I five boxed him, 70 war, 70 cleric, 70 shaman, 70 wizzy, 69 wizzy. Fairly easy fight, my Warrior sits around 10.3hp and about 1600ac, so far from being uber (which i suppose is relative =)).
He hits for around what everyone else was saying, can be a long fight, I think it took me around 6-8 minutes to kill, though I was conservative with nuking since I was mainly relying on Incite to hold aggro.
As others have said, you can keep your casters back from his AE which helps quite a bit. I had my cleric in close to make sure heals landed and used my shaman standing behind him to keep the cleric healthy from the AE.
I used Infusion for the fight to see if I could resist his AE, that maxed my resists at 525, but his AE still landed quite a bit. Just remember to levitate everyone in some form (just in case casters get hit by his throw-back) and you'll be golden.
Oh yea, magic based nukes land great, Thundaka'd him to death (of course very resistant to ice, didn't try fire).
Spell Type: Detrimental Skill: Evocation Mana: 0 Target Type: PB AE Casting Time: Instant Duration: 1 ticks @L1 to 1 min @L17 Recast Time: 2 Resist: Cold (-200) Fizzle Time: 2.50 Range to target: 200 AE Radius: 100 Interruptable: Yes Location: Any Time of Day: Any Reflectable: Yes
Note: With 395 cold resist... i resist this thing maybe 1 out of 7 casts. BST with 421CR resist it about the same, 1 resist for every 7 casts. So it appears nasty.
Curable with Resplendant Cure 3, but not worth curing, He casts it quiet often.
Max Hit for me was 826, he seems to quad, But I may be wrong.
Because of the 50% slow, its somewhat a long fight. Group was 70 Wiz, Monk, Cleric, Best and 66 Ranger. total time woudl of been 10-15mins from engage to down. He didnt seem to kick or have a knockback spell. We just fort him where he stood on the ledge.
Started killing the storms with 4 of us: (All Time-geared) 70 Pal, 70 Enc, 70 Nec, 70 Mag. The storms are all level 70, summon & enrage; so having the Necro kite them was a no go. They are well spaced for easy single pulls, as well as being stunnable, and seemed to proc a cold-based slow-DoT, which was cureable with Radiant Cure line of AA (I didnt resist it at 323 unbuffed vs. cold).
Kilt two before needing to med with no primary MH other than pally heals. Brought a 70 Clr and 70 Bst along and owned two more storms, when Old Frosty popped. Rumor had it he was on 30min repop, or spawned after 5 storms killed, but we had killed only 4 when he spawned for us.(*Old Frostbeard's spawn point was the North side of the mountain, clearly visible "ahead and left" when facing South from the river at the base).
Necro kited named while I pulled 5th storm (at 99% Old Frostbeard didn't summon). Group killed the 5th storm, and after the update on Task Window saying to recover the motivator, Necro brought Frosty over and we owned him.
Didnt have log on, but I would guess he hit somewhere from 700-900 per round max. Compared to RSS trash, he was gimp. Chanty slowed, Necro dotted and dps'd him dead in ~2 minutes. Keep casters and healers out of his AE (I was told it was 1.3k, but no verification), I recall it being pretty weak, and easily avoided by keeping distance). Any decent group that can xp in Creator DoNs or WoS+ can handle this peon np.
