My guild Darkfire Daemons took him out last night yet again and we have now killed him about 8 times. I think ever time we have killed him this item has dropped.
awesome piercer although i dont have it myself i can tell by the ratio and stats, id take this weapon in a heart beat, better then swiftblade of zek id say 2str and 50hp 1dly less too, on wy wish list atm, one can only dream
took down SoRadir last night and I was only one who could use it. me being a 57 BST its a great training weapon to work on piercing and stats are nice too. not a bad weapon to play around with while i wiork on my epic )

Ok lets say that there is every meelee in a raid and all are after this piercer. Who would needit the most, saying all of there weps were in sinc with each other. I say warrior or aggro.
I think the weapon would do best in the primary of a ranger or a warrior. It could also make an ok rogue offhand, but since rogues already hit slightly faster than others and offhand delay on a weapon really doesnt matter they should go with a higher damage weapon in the offhand.
I have one...actually won it tonight. But then, I was only one of two classes that could actually use it - only had a 6 man team on S.o.Radir.
It's fast as hell, and can be equipped with a shield...so I would use it. Sure, the primary purpose would be to train up Piercing when I need to. But it's not that bad of a weapon for any of the classes up there.
Had a rogue been there and would have used it...I wouldn't even have rolled on it. However it was between me (55 PAL) and a 65 WAR with much better weaponry.../shrug

For one I would not use this as a rogue because there are better out there because at the level you could get this rogues could have their epic which is 15dmg, and a rogue would probly not put an 11dmg weapon in primary over a 15 simply for higher bs on the epic . Also I think warriors would be much better tanks with this weapons because of the speed of it which helps me as a rogue . Other than that I think it should go to a Ranger ,Beast Lord and then Rogue. Just speaking whats on my mind .
Heh.. did you ever think of putting this in an offhand man? I just got this tonight and the stats kick ***. Im a rogue and have my epic. With this in your offhand it is a great combo. No way any class should ever get this over a rogue unless the rogue has a better offhand. oh well.
Someone did a break-even at the Safehouse on when to replace the rogue epic with another piecer. Can't find the post but you can research it if you like.
In comes down to this. It is more than ratio. Epic gives you str (more damage, higher BS and more attack), other stats (affect procs), AC, saves..and a huge +40 to attack.
I hate to be mean and all... But this weapon has a BETTER ratio then your epic. This is faster, and will do more damage, and should probally be in your primary, with your epic in your second. unless ofcourse you dont like doing more damage.
Ratio really doesn't matter to a rogue that much since a big portion of their damage comes from backstabs. Rogues have to look at main hand weapons differently because of that. The widely accepted rule of thumb is unless it is 13/20 or better epic should stay in main hand. This weapon would fall very close to that category though. Would have to experment and parse some to be sure but I would guess the rogue's damage would be close with either epic or this weapon in main. Would be a fun weapon to try though.
This is a great poker for most of the classes who can use it. I got it the other night while keelin baddies in UP. 11/17 is insanely fast, but as a warrior my skill cap on piercing cap is lower than my 1hs. I'm still using Curved Claws (11/18) in my primary slot, due to the fact they are primary only. I think the higher skill cap on 1hs probably evens out the ratio... any thoughts? Also have my old frosty i can always toss in seccondary if i need some proccage. Any thoughts on the ratio would be appreciated. Luck in battle, Bulvar Biggins 59 Dwarf Warrior Brell > all
We killed the mob that dropped this Dirk. I was a happy ranger seeing as how I am 55, the cleric was 56, enchanter Sk and 2 druids all 62. Took him down no problem. I never got hit, (used arrows and Trueshot Disc) and the Cleric never dropped below 70m. Was more of a pain in the **** to get to him cause of all his little buddies. But we send them on thier way too. Well just had to say we got it and you can too.
I am a 62 warrior and I have this in my primary and it does hella damage. Average smacks for about 35-40 with jus this weapon. plus add Frostbringer in the off hand.
My bard friend on tallon zek got this when her guild got on her account and got it for her for her birthday suprise. she hits for an average of 40 to 60 with it and 75 or so with epic in offhand
It's a good primary for a ranger too. If I don't want aggro I jolt. This helps me keep it when I'm the tank. Stats are groovy too; great additional HP. Piercing skill cap is 240 for my ranger, which is lame of Verant imo. They have a couple of ranger-only piercers that drop in the game.

You act like this sword should automatically be defaulted to anybody that can use it BUT rogues. We went to kill Radir the other day and was hoping that the Spirit of Radir would drop this sword. There were two people that wanted it.... ME (epic rogue) and our main tank (non-epic warrior). Before we even spawned Radir's spirit, the warrior and I worked out a deal between us. Basically, if this sword dropped, he could loot it because he needed it more to hold aggro. That helps me because the more he can control aggro, the better I can do my roguely duties and not get smacked around too much.
However, rogues... like the other melee listed... really, really like this weapon.
By the way, the Spirit of Radir had Pebblecrusher (went to our cleric) and a bracelet of comprehension (randomed. Went to the warrior who sold it).
If you wanted to improve the aggro of your MT, you should have given him the pebblecrusher... Stun procs are significant aggro. Aggro > All when tanking on a raid.
dude as my bard tonight i got real lucky and it dropped on a raid. i rolled highest i won it. as a bard i think a 1.55 ratio is the best thing to happen to me... not to mention the stats are awesome
hmm...don't bards get a lot better ratio weapons that are a lot easier to get or cheaper to buy than the droppable equivalents to this??......I don't think I would want a bard to roll on this because of that...just IMHO
Tzarok 60th Drunken Grandmaster -Minions of Death- Brell
Revenant, I'm sure you're not going to see this, but as a 60 rogue using blood point in my offhand tell me what exactly else is *so* much better for me to use? Imho, there are *far* better war offhand weaps to be found when rogues need high dmg low delay piercers, even if they are offhand. And btw, I don't have 100k for horn of hsagra . . and I bet you'd say thats better off for a war as well LOL.
Questwic Assassin of the 60th Shadow Angels of Fire Tunare
this weapon is phenominal- I upgraded off a swiftblade of zek, 11/18 ac10 str10 hp100 mana25, and I must say, the difference is unreal... yeah I have the slightly lower cap on the shadow heart, but my god its like a whirlwind... I use hitsmode and show the last 10 hits and between it and my Fleshgrinder in offhand, by the time I regester that I critted with it, the damage is already 8 or 9 strings up, its absurd... this is a warrior weapon all the way, our guild now has two (got one last night went to guild SA, and one the night before went to me), and we are much the better tanks for it. I haven't ever seen a better weapon that drops out of any zone easier than NToV/Ssraeza, and if I do find one, I'll be quite suprised.

I would let a tank have this, or at least say they should roll for it too. Same mobs that drop this, also drop longsword of freedom (20/29) wich is a far superior off hand weapon. For warrior or ranger this makes a superior primary hand weapon, for a rogue, I am not even sure this will outdamage a LSoEE, and it would definatly generate a lot more agro.
The only sound reason to default it to a rogue, is that ranger asn warriors cap piercing at 240 (unless they changed that while I was not looking :) )
I'm no expert so tell me if I'm wrong. Once a rogue gets his 15 damage piercer isn't all other weapons simply added damage? BS with 15 damage weapon, stick it in bag till refresh.
My friend got one of these today and it droped of spirit of radir. It was a hell of an upgrade from a frosty and she dont have any problems with taunt now. It will take an UBER weapon to frop for her to upgrade this bad boy :)
This weapon taunts very well for it having no proc. It is insanely fast, has great stats, and amazing magic resist. Also, gives a 60 warrior 100hp. I use in my secondary with willsapper in primary and have no problems with taunt. As to the rogues wanting this weapon, I say wait. There are a LOT better weapons then this for rogue. This weapon would be best for warriors, bards, beastlords, and rangers.
You should be ashamed of yourself for rolling against a war on this. Why you ask? Because you'd only be using this offhand because 11dmg makes for low bs in the primary hand, and there are plenty of options for rogues in offhand to get nice dmg without depriving your mt of this item. Rogue rolling on this is kind of ridiculous.
Unless it has changed recently, Rogues/Bards cap piercing 10 points higher than War. High end piercers (if this could be called one) are wasted on any other classes.
Wouldn't a rogue be better served with the flaming dirk or longsword of freedom from this zone offhand rather than shadow heart offhand? It doesn't make much sense to me to waste this weapon offhand for a rogue over a warrior that would use it primary to hold aggro. For a warrior in an average (non uber non warrior epic) guild, this is one of the 2 or 3 best weapons they could hope to get primary hand to hold aggro.
