just my 2 copper pieces...this drop is ultra rare...i am a 58 necromancer on thoxulle paels and fought in SD from 51 to 57 with my wifes shammy we had this drop one time and only saw the chancellor pop once....I am not saying I was there alot but when I was I easily cleaned out the Revs post lvl 54 other named mobs seem to be spawning less frequently now then they did when i first got there

Ive hunted here alot, started soloing here at lvl 55, ALL the Sun Revenants/Reavers "on the Platue" at least are ALL dark blue to lvl 58, at lvl 59 about 80% are Dark Blue, and even at 60 about 30% are Dark blue...

Id say the Sunlord is probably the rarest, (havent laid eyes on him yet) all the rest, Chancellor/Magistrate/Smiter/Dread Knight all fairly common...ALL rather easy solo for lvl 54 and up Beastlord...
With KEI i can clear the whole Platue of Reavers/Revenants (15 static spawns) before the first one i killed respawns, then rinse & repeat..

Havent done it, but seems like a group of mid 40s would do just fine here, at lvl 47 highest /con here would be even....

Burning Priest seems to be about the hardest to take down, but even he is easily soloable to lvl 54 & up Beastlord....Root/rotters might have a slight problem with him since he will CH...

Havent gotten the Chancellors medal yet but did get the Book of the Magistrate, both are the rare drops from the respective mobs...
what update

ive got this on my monk ravenscale lvl 57 and on my lvl 52 bard and lvl 10 rogue got 2 drops for me bought other for 1k have seen 4 drop total and i used to hunt reavers ALL the time before pop compared to the many girbles and chalaces i let rot so it is pretty rare...(rambled) just wondering what the update was have noticed any changes on it
hunting in Scarlet

I hunted in the Scarlet desert the other night and at 44 it is a hard zone. So no way a lvl 36 can hunt and survive. Yes, you can probably solo at the zone entrance, but that will not get you specific drops.

You can get it possibly with a full group of high 40ies.

i solo'd here a bunch at ent at mid to late 40's. named flowers and cats can be anywhere so you would stand a decent chance of landing some of their loots. but no chance on rev's and named rev's.
nice

I am pretty sure there is no way a group of level 36s could take this mob out. I was in a group of four a chanter, sk, mage and myself a druid all over level 52 we didnt have a problem with chancellor but im sure the level is wrong a group of 40s would not likely have a chance.
RE: level

I've done this guy a few times. A full group in mid-40s with decent balance could take this guy down. It would be a tough, but very winnable fight.

A group of late-30s would have to have some kind of an edge. Either they'd have to be massive twinks, all buffed to the gills with high-level group buffs or perhaps using a strategy like chain-pet-root-dotting (which keeps him planted and focused on the pet he's currently killing off). That last could probably work if you had a group of 2 necros (each cycling pet/ltdot/pet until oom), 2 dotters (necro, shammy, drood, etc), 1 rooter (he breaks fast, so you need to dedicate someone to rooting) and 1 cleric for to heal anyone he manages to get agro on.

Root is a great way to manage agro for caster mobs.

I am not certain about the chancellor, but I know that a group of mid 40's can handle Sunlord Wedazi because I was in a group of mid 40's who did. I wouldn't expect the Chancellor to be harder than Wedazi, but it would not be the first time I was surprised by relative strengths.

This medallion and the magistrate's book are the rare.

I've hunted these fools for a lotta hours and have only seen one of each drop.

Sun Chalice, Smiter's Belt, and Grail of Justice are common drops.

Named spawned rate also has been dramatically reduced in SD earlier this week.
lucky I guess....

I hate when people pop in and say I got this the first time I killed the thing so it's gotta be a common drop....

We really did get it the first time we killed him, and I won the roll, we had druids, wizzies, rangers, and me(warrior) and we were ALL drooling over this thing. I actually won on a roll...WOOT!!! I never win. Practically ripped my orc fang necklace off....Anyway, it was the first time we'd been here and were just trying to get some exp, popped the smiter and chancellor. Smiter dropped the WIS/MANA range item I think (lost roll). Excellent place for exp and loot, no adds, have ranger pull everything with harmony, the sun peeps hit hard 117 or so and some cast nukes/disease spells.
sweet neckpiece

I have a Sarnak Arcane Fetish on my chanter (2dex 6int 5cha). I would gladly sacrifice 2int and 1cha for the ac, stat bonuses and saves. Sweet caster piece imho.

This is a good necklace for ANY class. It rivals 6/4 talismans from Western Wastes, with out the hp and mana, but it is MUCH easier to get. I see lots of people with these, not just casters.
This item is his rare
# Jan 04 2002 at 11:32 AM Rating: Good
I have spent countless days on the "plateau" where the Chancellor spawns and have killed him probably in the neighbourhood of around 40-50 times. In all those times I have only seen the medallion once and am wearing it.

I hardly think its competition to the QBOH...this is a rare item on a named mob so I wouldn't worry too much.
Well
# Jan 04 2002 at 7:36 AM Rating: Default
Well all I can saz is that I duoed with a friend 54 ranger 53 cleric and it was still heck of an fight. Well looking at this Item I have to saz I ave a QbadgeoH and I wouldnt trade it in for that neck piece, Ok the stats seem to be a bit better but thez arent QboH is also mana and Hp and SEE INVIS perm. See invis Perm is so good that I sazed thank ou know to an akheva talisman i WW and thatis even better than that one. We have a lot of casters and even puretanks in our guild who wear the QboH cause see Invis rocks.
just my 2cp.

# Jan 04 2002 at 8:25 AM Rating: Decent
dont forget you have to be at least lvl 50 up to finish the quest soloing i think but yes its a nice for tanks and casters for the see invis even though see invis is not too much mana thats just something a caster wont have to do when you need invis in a group the tank/caster can cast it with no mana so its a nice neck peice to have.
well well

does anyone know what drops this and if it is true that this can be goten at 36?
Might not be 36 attainable
# Jan 04 2002 at 12:38 AM Rating: Good
The only mob named 'chancellor' I have seen in Scarlet was a Sun Reaver Chancellor...

Sun Reavers are blue to a level 55, as Necros they love to cast Shock of Poision (~200 dd) and Fear. They hit pretty fast for up to 120s, and have at least 5500 hp.

Now there very well might be a different Chancellor in zone, but I have not seen it on track.

P.S. If this is on the Sun Reaver Chancellor it is either his rare or very rare drop. Common is Sun Challice.
RE: Might not be 36 attainable
# Sep 16 2002 at 11:52 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, it's on the Sun reaver chancellor. Duo'd the ruins with the sun reavers this weekend for exp and this dropped from him.

We were 55 cleric and 55 shaman up there and were getting decent exp. We could handle the mobs pretty easily, especially after shaman slow but 36 would probably be a bit low.. Group of mid 40's would probably be ok though.

Its the sun reav guy you think it is ;)

However I don't remember this guy casting necro spells and thought it was the "Sun Reavenent chancellor". He was certainly very easy for my druid to simply root and dot (though he resisted ensnare and the dots a few times)

It is indeed the blue to a 55 ones at that camp up top by the ruin thingie (with some tro jegs sharing the area)

Very nice item to use as res combination thing if you are a druid currently with the silver chain neck thing (since this has 10 PR)

Other thing he drops is a belt that is also plus many stats (plus 3 on all of them) and 10 ac. Its common enough that I got one and gave to a twink then when someone else was doing him/them they got one and told me to come loot since we were only ones in zone and they already had the thing once (lore as all this stuff is! ;) ) So my other twink has one now.. geez. The belt is not druid but I think just chain and plate classes.

RE: wow
# Jan 04 2002 at 12:33 PM Rating: Decent
...If the mob is blue to 55, then that puts the mob over level 43...I would say that it is NOT attainable to a level 36 seeing as how you would have a heck of a time landing a spell on the mob.

Hum, at 54 lv 40 cons db and lv 39 was db at 52 and 53. My pet was lv 39 from 49-53 and stayed db. Sk based mobs that HT for 401, makes then lv 40, still db and pooch is lv 41 and is db. So either good jump in lv mob would have to be so it conned db from 54 to 55 or you little off in what lv he has to be.
Wow!

Items like this upset me, I worked my butt off to get the Qeynos Badge of Honor, and then they put this in, and if the level to be attained is true, then I wasted a lot of time and effort getting my badge, the only thing it has going over this one is the hp/mana and the see invis, guess I got to go get one of these now.

Don't get too upset. I'm quite sure that 36th level is quite wrong. And even if it is attainable in your lower 40's which is lower than what you can get the QBoH at keep in mind a couple things.

This is a rare drop. The QBoH you will obtain for sure so long as you do the quest right.

The QBoH is no drop. Therefore it's something to be a bit more proud of. Any bozo can get this item from a person selling it in Gfay or be given to them to twink a lower level character. When people see you wearing the QBoH they'll know it's something you worked hard at getting.

I'm only level 39 atm and I've only done the first part to the quest but I am looking forward to completing it all. It's a lot more fun than going to Scarlett Desert camping a mob and hoping over and over that the Chancellor's Medal will drop.

I'm in total agreement with you Lewin.

Just finished my Qeynos badge of honor quest today, take a peek at Allakhazam, and they have this at Level 36 attainable. See invis is not worth all that trouble except maybe on a PvP server.

I hope that Verant at least continues the Badge quest farther now. Maybe it'll turn out to be an item that compares with Luclin level 36 items. =/
I would like to kill the leader of the Corrupt guards anyways for the quest.
