It's awesome for what it does, but the fail rate on it blows. Trivial is 520. Egad.
My sham hit 295 skill on a run of these. 400 tries, 25 pots made. For those that don't know,that's about 40,000+ plat
Bundle blue nightwort x 2 - 2 plat
Boar thistle - 1 plat
Dragon runed vial - 14 plat
Pickleberry extract 1 plat
Yyamilin- 107 plat.
I reckon that works out to 1600 plat a potion. Although they do last for 5 hours. Unless you die.

Was playing around with these today. Found some interesting info.
Testing potions w/ 85 necro, all AAs, +35% dot extention 85 foucs earring.
No potion running = 7 tics of Mortal Coil rk3 (lvl 82 necro dot) before fades off.
This tonic type VII running = 8 tics of Mortal Coil rk3 before fades off.
This tonic type VIII running = 8 tics of Mortal Coil rk3 before fades off.
I tested each scenerio several times and ended up with the same results each time.
Looks like the VII tonic of this still give you the extra tic (at least with this particular base 5 tic necro dot) that the level VIII give you- even though the spell description says "up to level 80"
The VIIs are easier to make, and the dropped component (Aderise Bur) seems more common than the one required to make VIIIs (Cosgrove Powder).
EDIT: 2/7/12 - Was testing this same level potion (VII) against levels 8s , 9s, and 10s of the same potion.
***It still works on VOA spells***
Tested it using lvl 94 Necro DOT Ignite Potential. The lvl 7 still gave one extra tic, as did the 8s 9s and 10s, but the lvl 7 is still the best IMHO bc it's the cheapest to make and still has the same effect.
