Bought a pair for a little over 3pp for both for my monk. 12 ac and a weight of one. Not bad. Vendor price was 1pp 6 gold and 3 silver each I think.

6 AC same as banded but useable by monks and druids. My thought is more on why it would be useable by so broad a range of races. Most racial stuff is limited to a cetain race and maybe certain related races (ie: Humans Erudites and Half Elves).

No biggie, just curious.

Just like the Wood Elf/High Elf Cultural can be equipped by a range of Tunare worshippers (casters in Elven chain? Cool!) so the vale imbued can be equipped by the widely varying races/classes who follow Karana.

Though not all of the above possible race/class combos either exist or exist as Karana worshippers. Such is the work of the filtering agent generating these listings.

Cultural armor

The whole problem is that EQ has been so fixated on good stuff only comes from looting hard to kill NPC's.
Imagine how hard it is for Verant to actually make any of the trade skills worthwile now. There is like hundred of thousends things dropped from various creatures in the game with awsome stats, and the average "lowbie" that would wear tailored and smithed stuff, with the exception of some cultural smithing, is today a twink of people that already have at least 1 or more 50+ characters, wich mean they laugh at these things.
If Verant had done like Mythic is doing with DaoC, trade skills would most likely be much more worthwile and profitable.
But its easy to say now .. over 2 years after EQ came out.
If you use these things to get skill to work with imbued Vale studded armor, it gets better .. those have descent stats, but still.. problem is, many new halfling druids and clerics wich would benefit most from the stats, is either twinks or have online friends that will outfit them in far better armor. These things is usually much more worth if you start on a new server where there isn't (yet) tons of high levels to farm the good stuff to sell it to lowbies.
#REDACTED, Posted: Nov 19 2001 at 5:36 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) WHY DOES HAVE TO BE MADE BY A HALFLING?
RE: Why Halfling?

Because this is for the Halfling Cultural Tailoring. The trivials for this type of armor are quite high. This sort of bridges the gap to the tougher Veloius armors.

There have been a number of complaints that there are no high level paths to advance the tailoring skills for those who are not of the Halfling race. This may change with the releases of SoL.

Is nice to fill in the gap for tailoring, but why does the stats have to suck so bad at this lvl in the game.=(

Oh well, is Verant we are talking about....

heheh... the Woodelf equiv is just as bad... so don't expect anything too revolutionary in Luclin.

Just treat these as an easier/cheaper way to advance tailoring until you can make some of the decent Velious gear ;o)
