Just cleared it for the 6th time, 2 on hard 4 on norm, got it to drop. Took about 1hr to clear zone ea time.

Finaly got after 21 instances 4 hard rest normal, got the mask from a normal mission from a werewolf (forgot the name) first tower first floor, spend about 4 days (4 hours a day).

Made a comment to a friend about this clicky! So I thought lets do the instance and try get the mask! anyway we died as we tried to pull a massive train! except for my rogue :-) so anyway my friend has to go out after ress to pick up his gf so I start soloing a few on the rogue.

This dropped to solo 85 wiz with merc after 4 hours of sheer slaughter. Completely wiped the zone first time, got another instance the next day and an hour in dropped from a Champion in very bottom floor of first tower. Now I remember why I hate camping stuff like this...

i have cleared this zone about 8 times total with not a single drop, yet my friend logs on and gets 2 in one day!!! this thing is dumb, unless you really want it i dont suggest farming it. i am medding atm and about to clear some more out but pretty much this is rediculous.

Yeah...this god damn farming sucks. I've been hear hours now, killing everything in sight; undeads, spiders, werewolves, orcs. Nothing.

If i'm not paying attention, i start training myself...like now. had like 50 orcs kill my merc lol.

My suggestion:
If you're after this mask, make sure you have a snare class with you, or some way to snare for yourself. Especially if these mobs are a challenge for you.

I've gotten 3 to drop so far with only doing 2 missions so far.

well, ive been at it for several months now, over 28 instances cleared from top to bottom, ive tried normal and hard missions, still no mask :/

Finally got today on 3rd attempt...never completely cleared each zone as only have 2 hours to play a sitting. But very happy indeed it dropped, stay at it as you'll get yours also.

The drop rate on these 'zone wide rares' is disgraceful.
So far I've racked up over 300aa, over 15,000 mobs, 63hrs and I have no idea how many clears top to bottom.
If I wasn't trying to collect every illusion I would walk away.

Had 2 punk-azz guildies get this today first attempt.. Both in the same day. I been at this for months and months anywhere from 1-3 times a day after raids. I guess I want it too bad for my own good.

Just got today!!! was my 4th mission and was dropped from a drachnid infiltrator. So don't give up....it does exist =-)

I am currently on Full Clear #7 and still have yet to see this mask. I even kill the poison master and finish the mission just for s&g.
I decided to clear the whole zone, and went down one tower, cleared to the other and working my way back up, and a drachnid champion dropped it. I am soo sick of the Hive,,,

After 24 tries over 4 days i got the mask to drop ..... I cleared the field and both towers each time .. on the first go . i cleared the whole zone of every creepy crawly in the place ...

i love this thing, used to use it everywhere i whent, shopping, traveling raiding and grouping, even when afk lol,
looking at all the comments this thing is mainly just a random drop. total time i spent in this zone farming it could probably come up to 1 mayby 2 days total.

Wow, got this on first clear, normal task. We went deep into the hives through the first tower. I was very surprised.

Got a new task after I got my mask and the first big pull we got another. Really cool.
Finally got mine after 11 clears of the field and 2 towers. First few times, did just teh ground floor of towers, then began plowing top to bottom.
All said and done, a drachnid lookout had my new toy :)

Solo'd the mission 5 times over the course of two days as a 75 shadowknight. Had two friends help me request it and stay in the task so I could enter. Finally dropped for me on the 5th run right before I was going to call it. It dropped from one of the shadowmane werewolf looking guys on the top of the second obelisk/tower/whatever those buildings are. Didnt see them on the loot list, seems to be true that it is a zone wide drop.

also, i solo'd this mission, i am a 80sk with 800+aa's. i had 2 friends in GH semi afk so i can grab the missions over and over again.

it took me 8 orb dod [normal] missions to get this to drop. i didn't go deep in the hive to kill. all i did was zoned in and cleared the field, exited mission and re grabbed and re killed the field mobs only. i didn't go into the towers, i didn't go on the bridges, i even didn't go to the undead or in the basement. just killed the trash in the field and re-got mission. the masked droped off the first 3 drachs you run into after you zone in at the campfire. good luck. any questions i am on teh trib server.

Took about 3 1/2 hours to get on normal difficulty setting with two people and 1 box. We finally got it to drop in the third tower on the living bridge.
The best way to do this is to have someone AOE and someone else tank. The tank I was with is uber so he was able to heal himself while I threw AOEs all over the mobs.

Dropped today .Sept 16th, got it in the 2nd tower off a drachnid infiltrator

Dropped May 25, 2007 for my Warrior.
Off a roamer in the field bewteen zone in and the first tower. Best bet seems to be clear all field and restart until you get it.

After a week looking for it finally dropped on Saturday May 12 2007 4:00am east time....from " a drachnid champion " located @ the " basement" of the first obelisk,tower whatever you wanted to name it.....

3 boxing 2.0 war, 2.0 rogue, 2.0 shaman I've been tearing this zone apart....25+ hours so far at 5 hours a night. NOTTA. God I'm beginning to hate this camp. At lvl 75 the AA xp is horrid, so 2 AA in 5 hours and about 4k plat from selling vender foddle. Will continue, till it drops, or I die of old age. Whicheve comes first =(.

did one hard mission and then a normal last night with a friend. No luck on the hard and 2 dropped on the normal, guess we were pretty lucky, both got one. And they were both off drachnids in obelisks.

Spent 3 days Soloing this with my 75 wizzy. 2 missions the first day, 3 the second, then got it on my 1st attempt the third day. Dropped off one of the static spawns just outside the 2nd tower for me.

I just got a mask of my very own after 5 attempts, Something I noticed after a death and my computer crashed the zone reset and I almost didnt want to waste the time thinking the zone was probably bugged. But when I came back I noticed something different from all my other attempts. There were an unusual number of roamer near the second tower so I decided to keep going. Low and behold dropped on my last mob on first floor of second tower. It may or may not be of value to anyone but I hope it helps. PS. Very Happy SK here =)

30+ hours and many beers so far. for past 4 days i camped this horrid zone. coa geared 75 rogue and my coa geared 70 cleric and i slaughter these spiders. 8 normal instances so far and not one mask drop. i just kill the feild and the towers and grab a new instance. this must be sonys way of getting even with me after getting halfling mask relativly quick. least im making a lot of aas and plat off vendor trash and pages.

Finally got mine as well on nov, 13th. I too was one of the unfortunate ones who had to kill millions of spiders and do it thousands of times. usually only got as far as clearin the field and the towers if i was lucky. I just boxed it with a shaman. Dropped in easy off a drachnid Champion. fire and water ele illusions down...earth to go =P

Finally got my mask last night after I cajoled a few guildies in coming to help me slaughter the zone. Was planning on doing a full clear as many times as it took last night, but after our GL Xsas pulled about 15 Skinwalkers on us, it finally dropped.
BTW, the theory that it drops only from Drachinds is wrong - mine dropped from a Skinwalker in werewolf form.

I've been camping this thing since it was found... and after 8 months of slaughtering the whole zone, I still have not gotten one to drop. I've cleared every single mob possible and gotten nothing. Heck, I even took a two month break from it cause it was too bloody frustrating.

Took me nearly 5000 kills in this damn zone to get mine...reminded me why I haven't camped anything in years. But yet almost tempted to get the shrink ring. /boggle

Been farming this with groups for a about a month. We clear the entire zone every time. The first two weeks we tried it on hard only (for the xp) and got 1 drop out of 18 missions. In the last 2 weeks we did normal, and usually didn't have to clear all of the zone before one dropped. On normal it dropped 8 out of 21 times. It seems to drop MUCH more often in normal than hard. Has anyone else noticed this?

just got this last night. finally put group together and did longshadow.1, then before they logged grabbed this mision just to camp for it, about 20 kills in it dropped. was dropped by a drachnid champion just inside first tower.
