Makes me feel sad to think this wep used to be awesome, and nowadays people practically get 1h slashers with 40/25 and +30 all stats. Saddest part is how they come saying 'oh this wep sux balls!!11one' >_>

The one i was talking about is Silvery 2handed Axe granted it is slower and has less dmg but that means also that it will have a higher dmg bonus...correct me if i am wrong but this can be gotten of a lvl 30 mob in perma (elite honor guards)

I think you meant to say the "NO DROP" tag should be removed. I would probably agree on that, but the ratio isn't "crap", it just isn't on par with a lot of the better Kunark/Velious/Luclin loot that has since been added.
Look at it this way, maybe you're a level 45-52 knight participating in a Nagafen raid. Along the way this sword drops. Now, I'm not a twink/farmer/uber guy, so for me 25/40 is a pretty good ratio. Better than the ratio on the centi warspear I'm using now (though no AC or stat boosts). Also, as an erudite, I would cetainly appreciate the triggered Serpant Sight effect as well. I do have an infravision spell, and it isn't that big a hassle to have to memorize and cast it, but this sword would save me a few clicks and a bit of mana, which isn't a bad thing.
But I do agree that the NO DROP tag should be lifted. I play on Firiona Vie where just about the only NO DROP items are for the epic weapon quests (and the epic weapons themselves), so this isn't an issue for us. :)
Anyway, at level 48 (as an erudite shadow knight), I would be happy to see this weapon drop and to own it, but it is true that I probably would not use it as my "only" weapon... I'd likely only use it against non-casters while not tanking (which is the case a fair percentage of the time), and I probably will eventually acquire something superior (hopefully soon).
Edit: Er, oops. :P I got the numbers mixed up, the centi warspear has the better ratio. So maybe I wouldn't use it. ;) It's still not a terrible weapon, it just isn't as great relatively speaking as more common/available weapons that have been released in expansions. The old dungeons in general could use a revamping similar to the one that was done on Runnyeye a while back to bring them back up to par and to give people to actually visit them for reasons other than exp grinding and maybe to fight one or two particular mobs.

This is an old world weapon...remember...Kunark wasn't out? Wurmslayer is a Kunark quest...this is an awesome weapon for it's time. It's not as good anymore, but hell, it's good for working on 2hs with.

The first guys post for this reply didnt say anything about buying, it even said, this is a good item for working towards. He also said it is oldschool (yes it is, bro had one before kunark). We are talking the time of ykesha's looking like bloodfires and 1k was all to much to ask for anything.
You'll notice the preceding post is labeled "Re: hahaha" - it was evidently in response to a post named "hahaha" that was so bad it has been rated "awful" enough times by visitors so that it no longer shows up.
I'd agree with the first LISTED post, however - this was a darn good sword in its day, but with the advent of Kunark and Velious the worth of many old-world items has plummeted. Sad, but true. It's a different game than it used to be <sniff!>.

You might be thinking of the rain of blades proc on Bladestorm, Katana of Steel Sleet-3 waves of 330 damage each, dropped of cazic himself.

I was the fourth person on my server to get this weapon. That was well over a year and a half ago. It has never had any other effect to it.

Try to be less of a fool and realize this item is OLD SCHOOL. Before kunark and velious this was a great weapon
