I have been smithing for quite some time now and made a pair of these and some other pieces for my cleric. Now that I'm ready to continue my skill and deciding to do something besides shadowscream armor I was considering making more of these since I will not require an enchanter to enchant brellium (yet!). But I have run into a big problem and I was wondering if anyone else found the same results...
In calculating the cost to make a pair of these and taking into account that I would be farming the items that can't be bought from a vendor, I came up with a raw material cost of approximately 214pp per try. Not bad considering, but the shock I found was that if I sold it to a vendor they only bought it for 77pp!!!
I, vaguely, recall making fine plate and only losing around 18pp per item but this is ridiculous! Does anyone know the resell price on enchanted plate for the same item? Because, I think, if you remove the cost of the imbued ruby then the price drops to 82pp per attempt and it becomes much more reasonable to make. Except for the charge that an enchanter may or may not charge you for the enchanting of bars.
Thanks for any insight.
