I made an attempt on this and on a Feran Wristband of Ice recently. Succeeded on the feran, but fizzled the Wristband of Strife. However, after the fizzle, I got the original Murkglider Wristband back, so even though the essence of discord was gone, it was not a total loss. I would assume it would be the same for all of these OoW armors like the Bazu and the Magnetic as well.
