Fails on making aug / any tradeskilling =))

well there might have been a time whre you could ruin the stone several times during the combines if one was doing a lvl upgrade on both JC and alchemy but now according to www.eqtraders.com you get the augmentation back after most combines failed =))

BUT you need to make the first combine and there have a change to fail like anything ells you are combining as a first, let me try to make an example with say a gate potion combine

when makeing the gate potion you have a change to fail, but when you have made 10 single shot gate potions, and want to combine them with eachother into a 10 dose, you will never ever fail doing that =))

same thing with the augmentation once you have gotten to a certain point you CAN NOT loose the augmentation =))

Edit : subject should say Many not any

A bit about auggie upgrading

Step one - cutting the stone requires a highly skilled jewelcrafter and you still have high risk of ruining stone
Step two - etching the stone requires a skilled alchemist or poison-maker and some very expensive and rare components triv levels are much lower the risk of ruining the stone is not
Step three inlaying the stone with black or white gold inlay requires a highly skilled blacksmith (note the triv level above)with a final combine of inlay and etched stone done by alchemist and oh yes risk of ruining the stone is still high
Daannng!!!I luv this game.. successful combine would be like winning the lottery LOL :P

Step 4 adding the inlay can be done by A Master Poisonmaker as well .. of course.

Just made my first Pure Aug last night. Radiant Howlite of Pure Haste ... :-)

Can confirm that i failed the Pure Combine once and lost my Black Gold Inlay ( OUCH !!! ). It did at least return the Aug for a second shot - I have no AA's to help this btw.

I have still lost Augs attempting to add Marks and failing.
