The prepared fish is a product when created when most are wanting various bones. To get the fisherman's companion, you need two of each: Vallorian Discus Bones and Nighmare Cichlid Bones. These bones are a by-product of the Prepared Fish. This is trivial at 182. Other fish can also be used to make prepared fish, and their trivials differ. Some are 172.

You need:
1 Filleting Knife (returned and stackable)
1 Roots (foraged)
1 Celandine Herb (bought from alchemist for over 5pp)
1 fish (Nighmare Cichlie or Vallorian Discus or other fresh fish...)
These need to be combined in a tackle box.

Aye absolutely correct. It does not make sense to use this expensive recipe to make prepared fish. It is just a byproduct for those who wanna make fishbone darts with the fishbones. They are really useful for a monk ;)

But I am always asking myself by making them why someone needs celandine herb to make fishbones ;)

I have fishing skill of 55 or so, and this is nowhere near trivial. I tried making it six times or so (the Celandine is a good 5pp each), and failed every time. I don't see any stat bonuses...Are we really paying 5pp to turn our fish into two meals? Hopefully this is an incomplete entry.
