In case another research reads this, here is what is needed.

The Conflagrant Diamonds in this region are amazing. With some delicate work, sometimes extremely delicate work, one ca etch runes into the uncut diamonds which give them the ability to augment equipment.

For some of the simple items etch the two runes longitudinally and equidistant to the axial flux field.

If you need me to tell you to use etching tools, then you shouldn't be reading this book. You will want some rune binding stain to highlight the runes and focus the magic.

The valid rune pairs are impetus and fortitude, adroitness and finesse, acumen and savvy, allure and adroitness, adroitness and impetus, and allure and impetus.

If you are ambitious you can make a more complex augment, you will need to etch six runes equidistant and aligned with all six poles. To re-iterate, the list is impetus, fortitude, adroitness, finesse, acumen, and savvy. The extra runes require two measures of the stain.

Focusing the effect further requires extreme skill. The concept is a negative effect and you remove the rune you want focused from the matrix and balance the remaining five along the equatorial intersection arcs of the removed rune."
