I don't carry weapons, because I stay as far from melee as I possibly can. The item I have in my primary slot -- Ancient Tome of Necromantic Magik -- gives me more bonuses, plus it has resist mods on it, plus it only weighs 1 stone or so, while this thing weighs 3. +15 AC isn't enough to do me significant good.
I'm not saying this is a BAD item, but I will say I can't see spending even a penny to buy it, as I'm quite sure I can find other, more useful items for the same price, or even less.

I just got this the other day. It only has 50 mana on it though.
It does explain why the hateful and vengeful versions had less mana than this. I thought that was strange.
The tradeskill recipe listed here is wrong. You need two sheets of infused acrylia.
As far as it looks, it's icon is kind of cool, but when you hold it, it looks just like a Staff.
I've sent in an updated picture and recipe, so hopefully it will be updated soon.

Take 1 2HB weapon with Int ans Wis and turn into 1HB weapon with Int but no Wis . So all you Wis based owners of Staff of the Obsevers feelin' miffed yet ??? ... Thought so.

You can fool the silly troll, but you can never seem to out wit that willy racial forge. Yes, trolls only. Illusion Troll will not work.
Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think this is Veran't attempt at having more trolls in world, and making them a commodity of sorts.
I, for one, think it is "cool" that you can "recycle" your former lame to uber items into other slightly better - less lame items.
And the fact that only trolls can do it...I Like a lot. Now...(we can all hope)...there will be a lot more trolls out there pimpin away their smiffin skillz.
One thing about this particular one though. Ummmmm....only troll BST and SHM can use, and there is NO Wis on it. LOL.
That last fact PROVES (to me at least) that these new Troll "cultural" (if they have a culture) items are for making and reselling.

YAAAAAAAAR! This troll is liking the smithing, I gonna start me up a little smithin skills just to prove to people what trolls can do, one slight problem for me though, gotta go buy me all them recycled weapons, then buy me the materials, and then haul my troll fatness through the hot desert in full plate, get to the cultural forge, and hope I don't fail cause these weapons can hurt my coin purse. In the end it worth it though, at least in my small brain.
Hmm... It's going to be hard to find an Troll smith that has the skill lvl to make this and....Ouch. Even is they did make it, I don't even want to know what he/she will $charge$ for this beauty.

If it was 1H it'd be rather nice. 2H, though... no thanks. There are other, easier, cheaper items that you can get (stein of Moggok, pheno focus, staff of the wheel for wizzies...). How many racial skill level troll smiths do you happen to know, anyway?

Did you also forget to notice the 100 mana?
100 mana post 200 int is the same as approx. 17-20 int (depending if it's 5 or 6 mana per int post 200. So, you now have this little weapon that is almost the same as a 27-30 int weapon that has 15 ac, 20/40 and has an effect. Could get rid of the acuman mask i carry around. This weapon adds up to more then I currently have in primary,secondary,range combined
Would certainly let me devote more slots to resists without worrying much about int.
Never mind the staff of the wheel is 10/100 for crying out loud.. It is faster to sit and med enough for a small nuke then wait for the delay to wear off when hitting greens. This item is VERY nice IMHO. I'll be looking for it for sure.

When you realize that it requires 2 Blue Diamonds, a bunch of Acrylia, a Smithing Skill of 220+ at worst and a whole lot of luck to make this... (Not to mention the Staff of the Observers)
This isn't very Uber.
Especially when you consider that most other racial Smiths could use those 2 Blue Diamonds to make two AC 25, 30 hp, 30 mana, +5 to all saves Bracers.
