I have this. One of the best int caster range slots Pre-VT if you ask me. the stats are great and the FT 3 is a huge plus.

What guild that has this drop is going to random it? I cant think of any, can you? 99.99% of the time when this item drops wich is still about never, the item will be merited to some deserving loyal caster of the guild.

Ok here's the info on this item since no one in this thread seems to even grasp what this item is.
This is a geomantic focus, an uber range item that drops off Vyzdra the Exiled, which spawns after the glyph covered serpent spawns (a whole story in itself) but before the atm impossible Vyzdra the Cursed Spawns. If you think anyone's getting this without a hardcore guild think again.
Oh and 1 last thing, this is a range slot item obviously, the other geomantic item is geomantic fingers of focus which has FT 3 but not as great stats + it goes in the gloves slot. That drops off of Grieg Venepicus the boss of Griegs End.

It's top end AC/CHA/INT/Mana/Saves for any range slot item out there and then the FT effect on top of it just makes this incredible. It really helps on a raiding situation where the enchanter is trying to keep all of us casters cranked and still have mana left to mez the adds. As a cleric I wouldn't kick this item out of bed for eatting crackers, but would much rather have this item go to a guild chanter that will be keeping me c3'd than to myself. Just my two copper, feel free to flame me if you are a greedy druid that NEEDS this item to farm quicker.

ok lets just face it, its not JUST a awsome chanter item, me being a chanter id faint and pee my robe if i won this, BUT....... honeslty how many classes that can use this item will it not benifit, i understand that yeah , this is a sweet item for us chanters, but its because its just a sweet item overall = )... yes my robe would be soiled if i got this, and im gonna try to get my guild to farm this in like uhm.. 2000 years hehehe...

Excuse me but Bards also need cha for Charm Song which is great for charm kiting or multiples without a chanter..well good hunting and safe journey to all.

I (being a druid lvl58) thought Mages/Nercos were the farmers here...
Although, since most people get upset on Druids/Wizards for quadding, I think these two classes gets to take a lot of crap from all others.
Oh ya, a mage can solo 3 mobs, on the same time a druid does 4 (wyverns in CS) at the same lvl...So it's not a great difference.
But admit it...it'd BURN your eyes to see a druid get this item, and know he/she would be off quadding (or farming).
Ya, the wis is a bit low compared to the int/cha stats, but I'd sure love it, and the AC, and the FT3...well...I'd put into good use
And ya, I'm sick of people trash-talking druids...there's only a few classes that aren't just as good at soloing, which most has it easier to group in zone at lower lvl's than druids (chanters, clerics)

I agree. I'm a non-farming druid myself. I don't even quad (too lazy to perfect the skill). =)
This item is better than what is currently in my range slot. Isn't that the point? To upgrade your equipment? Obtaining a better item for myself doesn't automatically mean I need it for farming because I'm a Druid. What a leap of logic that was.

The point is to upgrade yourself, yes. However it is to upgrade yourself to benefit your guild at this high of a level.

The operative phrase here is "lvl 30cleric".
The higher lvl you get as a cleric, the less options you have when it comes to soloing. Right now at lvl 30 you can still get some solo exp in Unrest and a couple of other places, and if you're careful you can start doing specs in your low 40's, but from there it gets harder and harder.
Part of the reason it gets so hard, is that the blues that you CAN solo, take all your mana for just one mob. The downtime is simply not worth it, as finding a group is MUCH better exp. An item like this would help out, but you're still going to spend 90% of your time sitting on your butt medding for the next fight.
Would I pee myself if I got this item? Hell yeah. Would I cry if it went to another class in my guild? No way.
Every class who drools over this item has a good argument for why they would need it, and most all of them are lagitimate reasons. I'm not convinced that this is better for one class then another, because everyone has different play styles and tactics.
If I'm the lucky recipient of this uber item, I'll jump for joy and do a little happy dance. If someone else gets it, I'll do a dance for them. :p

Another class that has a hard time soloing, is us poor chanters = (... if we do the root and nuke method, it takes me about 60m to kill a high lvl green, me being 52 that means the mob is about 35 or so... if it was a blue, well forget about it... yes i know we can always charm fight, but really, i stopped doing that when the mobs started to hit me for 100+, and without dire charm, its just not worth it.. sure, we can always fear kite with our pets, but if since someone forgot to give is a critical spell (snare) its sooo dangerous to do it, plus since im not doing over 50% damage, my pet gets half the xp... sooo not worth it, might as well fear kite with a ranger or something, who can melee better, and snare for me at the same time, or with a druid who can snare for me and help with controling the situation when charm breaks. oh and guess what, i still get 50% xp from doing this... anyways, jsut my 2 cp worth on chanters soloing....

It's good to see items like this. There are too many sub par items in and around these zones, so this item makes up for at least 20 of those.

Holy f&%#ing s@$!, with the way Verant is going with the new items, every caster will have 400 int/wis by the time they're 45. This is just sick. Man I want one of these....

Doubtul that will be a problem. =) This is no drop, and unless you have the most uber of uber guilds running around up there willing to just toss this to one of its lower level casters (provided all other casters in the guild have one), then you wont have to worry about people under 45 or even 50 running around with Flowing Thought 3 flowing like wine. =)
Yeah, because every level 45 and below caster can get a group in Level 55 zones....great logic!

This actually does drop as well in Ssra Temple - that's where we got ours.

Don't kid yourself. I'd take this in a heartbeat as a wis caster. I'd take this if it had negative 5 wis on it. No joke.
