Single Besides EverQuest, what other MMORPGs have you played? I've tried WoW and EQ2 but it just doesn't feel right. How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing? Around 2001 I was TDY (Temporary Duty) in Vegas and my buddy from basic training that was stationed there convinced me to play. Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest? Yup, sure do. One of them convinced me to start playing EQ again after my last hiatus. How did you come up with your main character's name? I don't remember now, its been quite a while. What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character? I liked the ranged DPS and the damage done with the bow and arrow back in the day... now it's better just to melee though. About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you? Everyday just about. I work mid-shift, play for an hour or two in the morning then a few in the evening. How do you spend your time in game? Begging for groups!... Usually joking around with my guildmates. What other class/race combinations have you levelled past 35? 68 human pally ... 55 high elf wizzy ... 78 erudite necro. Approximately how much of the EverQuest world have you experienced? I've been to probably 70% of the zones, still working on keys and flags for the last few expansions end zones. What is your favourite expansion? TSS if it didn't get so laggy. What is your least favourite expansion? I wouldn't say least favorite, but the one I have done the least in is DoDH. What is your favourite zone? Anguish. What is your favourite NPC? Sir Lucan D'lere, because it's just so fun to kill him. What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)? The named in Anguish are pretty fun - a bit challenging and almost always have upgrades for me. If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take? Firiona Vie. Why wouldn't you take the side of a blonde in a bikini? Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game. I just finished my 2.0 - That, and reaching lvl 80 were pretty satisfying. What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it? 700-800k plat, when I was being frugal and not buying anything. What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest? I would like to see more people at lower levels grouping. It's hard to find a group under level 70 nowadays, unless your friends help you out. What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class? Overall we aren't too bad off, I'd like to see more endurance on Ranger items though, or reduce the cost of jolting kicks. If you were responsible for organizing and running a GM event, what would it be and how would it play out? Level 1 naked gnome race across kunark! If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose? I'm pretty happy with my race/class. How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends? It's a roleplaying game with a huge world and a lot of information to learn. What is next for you in the world of EverQuest? Keep chugging away, getting more AA, helping my guild take down bigger and bigger targets reach new zones, and Ranger gate from every zone possible. ** Pick the winner in a battle between... Grobb vs Ak'Anon - Ak'Anon, gnomes are lil devils, biting ankles and such. Saryrn, the Mistress of Pain vs Terris Thule, the Dream Scorcher - Mistress of Pain Giants of Velious vs Akhevans of Luclin - Akhevans Muramites of Discord vs the Drachnids of Darkhollow - Muramites no doubt. Tradeskilling vs Questing - Questing, I hate tradeskilling. Instance Zones vs Static Zones - Instances Monster Missions vs Project M (PvP as Monsters) - Monster Missions Soloing vs Pick-Up Groups - Groups Guild Raiding vs Grouping With Friends - Raiding GM (real people) Events vs Scripted (computerized) Events - GM events. They're less predictable. Arena Royal Rumble vs 1-on-1 Duel - Rumbles are much more interesting. Faydwer vs Odus - Faydwer Kunark vs Velious - Kunark Planes of Power vs Gates of Discord - Discord Depths of Darkhollow vs Omens of War - Omens of War Bard vs Enchanter - Bards because they kick ass.
