Family? Nothing out of the ordinary: Mother, father, irritating little brother, 2 dogs, and a girlfriend I love very much.

Besides EverQuest, what other MMORPGs have you played?
I haven't played anything other than EverQuest, and I doubt I ever will.

How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing?
My dad started playing when one of his friends told him about it right after the game first came out. I started playing about 2 or 3 months after that. So I've been around a loooong time.

Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest?
Not anymore, unfortunately.

How did you come up with your main character's name?
At the time, my main was a bard, and I wanted to make a shadowknight for fun. I thought Soulreaver was an awesome name, but wasn't able to get it, so I messed around with different spellings for a while untill I arrived at Soulrheever. My original surname was Bloodomen, as suggested by a guildy at the time, but was later changed to Schatten`Engel (German for Shadow Angel), because that's just awesome! Of course, the suffix, Of Vallon ZeK, is because I was born and raised on the Vallon Zek server.

What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character?
Well, I originally made my shadowknight just for fun, and partially 'cause I wanted a character that just hit hard. At the time, I was a wood elf bard, and rather fond of my guild, which didn't comprise of any dark races. So, I had to choose a race that wasn't evil, and since I wanted a shadowknight, my options were somewhat limited. I'm still not entirely certain why I chose Erudite instead of Human though. Gnomes are entirely out fo the question, however. I hate them.

About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you?
Uhhh... Well, my play time varies a LOT from week to week. I'll go weeks where I put in close to 100 hours, usually doing nothing of importance, and there will be other weeks where I'll hardly play at all. A rough estimate would say about 4 times a week, usually 5-8 hours in a session.

How do you spend your time in game?
Well, lately I've been leveling myself a beastlord to bot along with my shadowknight and cleric, so I'll have someone to slow for me. I also spend a lot of time soloing, as I really can't stand grouping. Most often when I'm soloing though, I'm going after big nasty things like ex raid mobs. I've got quite a list of things I've squished, though it's nowhere near as impressive as what some Shamans can manage. I did drop Rizlona though, of which I'm rather proud. Derakor the Vindicator is trivial for me, and Lord Yelinak is a stain on my boot. Shadowhunter, Discordling Warfiend, Trakanon, Venril Sathir, King and Queen in Chardok, Korocust, Zlandicar, Aramin, Gryme, Fabled Tantor, Zelnithak, Doomshade, Rumblecrush, Radir/Tawro, a couple 1 group named in PoWater, Severilous, Faydedar, Talendor, various named mobs in MPG and RSS, The Final Arbitor, The Progenitor... umm... Vindi, on multiple occaisons, Vhakiz the Shade, Nathyn Illuminious, Va Dyn Khar, Guardian of the Seal, The Insanity Crawler, The Va Dyn, The Itraer Vius, Murkglider School Leader... probably a few others I'm forgetting. Obviously some of these are more impressive than others, though.

What other class/race combinations have you levelled past 35?
Erudite Shadowknight (main), Wood Elf Bard (ex-main), Dwarf Cleric (bot), Iksar Beastlord (bot)

Approximately how much of the EverQuest world have you experienced?
Uhh... well, everything from Tier 1 in Demi-Plane and below, really. A little bit of PoR, a touch of TSS, and very little TBS.

What is your favourite expansion?
Ooh, this is a tough one... Velious is one of my favorites, just because the lore and attention to detail in the construction of the expansion is fantastic. For raiding, I really, really enjoyed Planes of Power... of course, I'm also the kind of sick freak that enjoyed Gates of Discord, too. My all time favorite fight is still probably Noqufiel.

What is your least favourite expansion?
Well, I really dislike The Buried Sea. I'm not even entirely sure why, I just don't like it at all. And while I recognize the breakthrough in gaming that was LDoN, I also have to say it was one of the crappiest, most worthless expansions yet. Same thing goes for Legacy of Ykesha.

What is your favourite zone?
Tower of Frozen Shadow. I spent more time there than I care to admit, and it's still one of my favorite zones: It's just fun to play in!

What is your favourite NPC?
Well... hmm... that's a toss up! Sugal the Fist was pretty awesome when he was still in Innothule: The fist strikes! Of course, there's always Xegony... booby taunt ftw! Kerafyrm, though, probably takes the cake. He's the biggest badass in the game, and has some of the most awesome lore in the game surrounding him.

What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)?
Noqufiel, from Inktu`ta! He's chaos in a can: with a dozen things happening at once, the fight is intense to say the least!

If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take?
Lanys, easily: She's hotter.

Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game.
Ooh... well... hm. Getting my 1.0 was a big accomplishment, it took me more than a year to complete. I'm also still pretty proud of myself for soloing Rizlona.

What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it?
Well, right now I'm sitting on my record sum of 2,255,994 plat. I've got probably another 10,000 spread out across a couple other characters as well. Mostly I've got it all by selling everything I come across for years, and spending as little as possible. I've found that soloing the north wall camp in Wall of Slaughter can yield some incredibly large sums of cash from selling all the gear and runes.

What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest?
Better customer service, for sure. And maybe putting some more time, effort, and innovation into the expansions, instead of just cranking them out as fast as possible to drain us of our money.

What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class?
Well... how about maybe a harm touch that doesn't suck? Even with all the AAs for it, it can do a whopping 12k damage! Considering we see paladins getting slays on undead for 20k+ and wizzies landing 30k+ nukes... hell, even shamans can land nukes harder than I can harm touch! HT is supposed to be the biggest player usable nuke in the game, but over the years it just hasn't scaled properly, and is now next to useless.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing some changes to the pvp system. I hate not being able to use spells in pvp, as half my spells aren't even usable, and the other half just get resisted. I'm nothing but a gimp warrior in pvp.

Also, some sort of slay living would be nice, since SKs are supposed to be the equal opposites of paladins: maybe an increased crit damage when fighting living opponents, since landing 20k crits would be rather overpowered.

Oh, and make decrepit skin better: it's WAY outclassed by paladin's Ward of Tunare. Bah, I could go on for ages with everything they need to fix and balance regarding the SK class.

If you were responsible for organizing and running a GM event, what would it be and how would it play out?
Oooh! I know! I think I would unleash Kerafrym on the Plane of Knowledge, along with a swarm of minions and commanders. It would require huge numbers of players to win: they would need to defeat the minions to activate the commanders, which would be very powerfull raid level mobs. Once all of the commanders are slain, Kerafrym (who would be perched on top of the library tower) would activate and start unleashing hell. Of course, he would need to be ridiculously powerful, and nearly impossible to defeat. Since he's also the most powerful force that Norrath has ever known, he wouldn't actually be able to be defeated: Just driven off.

If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose?
Hm, I would definitely stay a shadowknight. I'm not particularly fond of any other classes, and I've tried just about all of them. As for the race? Well, I like being a female erudite shadowknight: I'm about as rare as they come.

How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends?
I don't have any friends.

What is next for you in the world of EverQuest?
Well, since the collapse of Subliminal Realm, we've been working out a merger between another guild, Defiant Exodus. The resulting guild is to be Subliminal Exodus. So, that's what I'll be doing. I imagine it will involve lots and lots of Anguish clearings. Yay.

** Pick the winner in a battle between...

Grobb vs Ak'Anon - Me. I have on more than one occaison stormed both of these cities, mercilessly slaughtering thier inhabitants!

Giants of Velious vs Akhevans of Luclin - Again, me! I hate them both with a burning passion.

Saryrn, the Mistress of Pain vs Terris Thule, the Dream Scorcher - Saryrn: She's into the kinky stuff!

Muramites of Discord vs the Drachnids of Darkhollow - Muramites, all the way! Sendaii has nothing on Overlord Matta Muram or Tunat Muram Cuu`Vauax!

Tradeskilling vs Questing - A bullet through my skull.

Instance Zones vs Static Zones - Eh, it really depends which instance you're comparing to which static. Usually static zones are preferable though.

Monster Missions vs Project M (PvP as Monsters) - Chuck Norris

Soloing vs Pick-Up Groups - Soloing, hands down. Pick up groups suck.

Guild Raiding vs Grouping With Friends - Raiding!

GM (real people) Events vs Scripted (computerized) Events - Well, I haven't seen a well done GM event in YEARS, so I would have to go with scripted events for this one.

Arena Royal Rumble vs 1-on-1 Duel - 1-on-1, everyone gangs up on me in royal rumbles.

Faydwer vs Odus - Faydwer, easily.

Kunark vs Velious - Well, both are pretty awesome, but I gotta go for Velious.

Planes of Power vs Gates of Discord - Oooh, that's a tough one, these are two of my favorite expansions. PoP, however, I like more, and it revolutionized raiding.

Depths of Darkhollow vs Omens of War - Again, this is a tough one, but I would say Omens of War by a hair.

Bard vs Enchanter - Ugh, I hate them both. A lot.

Monk vs Rogue - Sorry rogues, but you suck in pvp: Monk.

Paladin vs Warrior - They would both die of old age before anyone got anywhere.

Allakhazam vs Illia - Lucy!
