I've played World of Warcraft. To me it's rather boring because it was too easy. How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing? I began playing January 27th, 2000. My friend showed me the game. I played for a little bit and got hooked. Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest? Yes. My friend that got me started (used to play), one of my ex-managers still plays (although mostly EQ2), and I've met a few people that play (met them in the game and then IRL). How did you come up with your main character's name? Well my first character was random name generated. The second one I made Crashem because he was a fat ogre warrior. All the others were a combination of RNG and something I've added. What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character? Ogre for high starting stats and one of the most beneficial racial traits... No frontal stuns is money :) About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you? Usually every day. About 5-6hrs or so depending on the day. Longer on weekends. How do you spend your time in game? Well, mostly raiding and grouping with guildies, but recently I've taken up smithing and have been doing that in my free time. What class/race combinations have you levelled past 35? High Elf Wizard (65), Barbarian Shaman (66), Ogre Warrior (70), Vah Shir Beastlord (53), Iksar monk (51), Ogre Berserker (70 was my first 'zerker), and current 'zerker Ogre (79). Approximately how much of the EverQuest world have you experienced? I would probably say about 30%. I've got a lot more to see and it will be a blast to see with my guild :) What is your favourite expansion? I like something in every expansion but I'd probably go with Velious. Lots of quests and lots of mobs to kill. Raid strategy was a must. What is your least favourite expansion? I'd have to go with Ykesha. Other than the map feature there's really nothing else I like about it. What is your favourite zone? Sol B. I remember when it used to take 12 people to kill Efreeti and if you wiped you had to find the absolute best monk to pull corpses (it was Assassin on old Cazic-Thule). What is your favourite NPC? Sirran the Lunitic....... the most unforgiving badass mob in the game hah. Maybe because he's crazy and those bunnies made him do it. What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)? Emperor Ssra. Even though most don't like the encounter it's well designed. My guild took him down with 18 and only one enchanter. That was a rush. :) If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take? Probably Firiona, I'm trying to be a good ogre! Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game. Helping my guild kill mobs with less than required, even if it's old content. What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it? About 3 million plat. I Had some old friends when I came back that helped me by giving me plat to get geared up so that I didn't have to start completely from scratch. What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest? Faster zone times, less lag, fixed bugs, more group or 1-2 group content that's challenging and rewarding. I haven't tried new SoF tier zones yet so it may be there already. What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class? Some sort of Endurance Canni (like shamans but w/ endurance), more dps. There's a lot of good ideas on GoBerserker.com that I like. If you were responsible for organizing and running a GM event, what would it be and how would it play out? I would like to see the original battle between Karafyrm and the original warders that imprisoned her. I think that would be one hell of an event. If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose? I'd stick with my Ogre/berserker. Love the class and the race. How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends? Who has time for going out when you're playing? :) My wife plays WoW so it's not hard to explain the game to her, and my dad probably knows a lot more about it than he wants to hah. What is next for you in the world of EverQuest? Getting more aa's and finally lvl 80 (79 atm), then hopefully finishing my 2.0 epic and tearing more stuff up. ** Pick the winner in a battle between... Qeynos vs Felwithe - Felwithe. I bet those wizards, mages, and enchanters would kick some Qeynos butt. Innoruuk the Prince of Hate vs Cazic Thule the God of Fear - Cazic-Thule only because you can never really kill fear - only hide it. Giants of Velious vs Akhevans of Luclin - Akhevans, 4 arms are better than 2! Muramites of Discord vs the Drachnids of Darkhollow - Muramites, just because they're cooler. Tradeskilling vs Questing - A little of both. Love questing, but like tradeskilling too. Instance Zones vs Static Zones - Instanced raid zones w/ some static zones too. Monster Missions vs Project M (PvP as Monsters) - Monster Missions, don't really like PvP too much. Soloing vs Pick-Up Groups - I can solo but it takes too long. I prefer groups of any sort. Guild Raiding vs Grouping With Friends - Both to me are the same. My guildies are my friends and I'll always group and raid with them. GM (real people) Events vs Scripted (computerized) Events - GM Events, more interactivity. But scripted ones can be fun too. Arena Royal Rumble vs 1-on-1 Duel - Royal Rumble, the outcome is never certain hah. Faydwer vs Odus - Faydwer, more content and things to do, plus no big shiny foreheaded people! Kunark vs Velious - Velious, the Avatar of War would kick the crap out of the whole of Kunark. Planes of Power vs Gates of Discord - PoP, raiding was fun and eventful. Depths of Darkhollow vs Omens of War - Haven't really done much in DoDH so I'll go with Omens. Bard vs Enchanter - Bard, can't kill what you can't catch or mez! Monk vs Rogue - Toss up, but I'll go with Monk if he's smart enough to keep his back in a corner. Paladin vs Warrior - Duh Paladin, LoH is over powered! :) Allakhazam vs Illia - Allakhazam! Although Illia does a lot of good work :)
