Besides EverQuest, what other MMORPGs have you played?
SWG (cannot compare, different genre), WoW (also cannot compare in my opinion, it's just different).

How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing?
My husband played starting at launch - I peeked over his shoulder. After a couple months I gave it a try and have been hooked ever since (June 1999).

Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest?
Well, my husband of course. Beyond that I know many people. Anthem has a yearly guild meet and several mini-meets throughout the year.

How did you come up with your main character's name?
Umm, it was a pretty name I read in a random novel.

What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character?
I wanted a character than reminded me of myself. In 1999 the only short female characters that wore skirts were Halflings. I chose cleric due to my husband's recommendation, that healers were always needed, and again, it suited me. At the time, most chose High Elf/Dark Elf for their cleric, so I got a lot of surprised comments when people met me (as well as lots of requests for ports and SoW from people who thought Halfling = Druid)

About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you?
Usually I play at least 20-30 hours a week, sessions lasting from 2-8 hours.

How do you spend your time in game?
Mostly raiding these days, but also grouping and doing officer work. With some tradeskilling on the side (I bake wonderful pies.)

What other class/race combinations have you levelled past 35?
Other than my cleric, only one: a Dark Elf Shadowknight, level 49. I really prefer the cleric over any other class.

Approximately how much of the EverQuest world have you experienced?
Hmm, as far as raid content, I think I have experienced everything in the game other than Nagafen/Vox raids. I know I have missed many quests, but I think I have seen every zone.

What is your favourite expansion?
Scars of Velious - I love the dragons and the quests and the overall feel of it.

What is your least favourite expansion?
Prophecy of Ro - too many fiddly faction things to have to do.

What is your favourite zone?
Temple of Veeshan. The place where I feel I really started to understand raiding.

What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)?
Ohh, this is tough, as each one has merits, I love raiding. Would have to say, at this time, I really liked Hatchet and Performer in Demi Plane of Blood. I enjoyed the needing to react to emotes; instead of just going through the same stuff every time.

If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take?
Firiona.

Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game.
The day I got my epic 1.0 *smiles* It was just before the changes, when we still had to race for Ragefire in Skyfire mountains. My guild really pulled through for me, it was exhilarating and very emotional. We raced against 2 other guilds, all 3 trying to get a raid force over there in time. I was the first cleric in the guild to earn the 1.0; and I couldn't have ever done it without them.

What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it?
Hmm only about 400K, and probably by just selling off vendor trash along with a few lucky Bazaar sales.

What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest?
I want small things. Like a guild bank log. Expand the group tracking on maps to raid level. Fix old issues. Bring back levitate bounce! And stop opening up zones, earning ones way in is much more satisfying.

What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class?
I would really, really, really like to see clerics get a decent upgrade to Complete Heal. It is still the lowest mana cost, most efficient (if you know how to use it) heal spell we have, but for goodness sake! Its level 39... and I am level 80. (At least with my AA's I will never ever fizzle it). An updated, still low cost, but more effective spell would rock! (call it "Really Complete Heal, we mean it this time")

If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose?
I think I would choose the same; Halfling cleric. If you knew me, you would agree. It's me... plain and simple.

How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends?
Hehehee, I usually just suggest they nod and smile and pretend to understand, it seems to work out OK.

What is next for you in the world of EverQuest?
I don't know, will see where the wind takes me.

** Pick the winner in a battle between...

Innoruuk the Prince of Hate vs Cazic Thule the God of Fear - Cazic

Muramites of Discord vs the Drachnids of Darkhollow - I hope the Muramites, I HATE spiders!!

Tradeskilling vs Questing - Questing, not many people I know like Tradeskilling =)

Instance Zones vs Static Zones - Instances, no waiting, just grab your group and go. No fighting over camps.

Soloing vs Pick-Up Groups - Pick up groups. I've always said if you are just going to play with yourself, why choose a Massive Multiplayer Online game?

Faydwer vs Odus - Faydwer... Odus is just so out-of-the-way.

Kunark vs Velious - Velious for the snow sports.

Planes of Power vs Gates of Discord - Planes of Power, just sooo much to do.

Depths of Darkhollow vs Omens of War - Omens of war, too many spiders in DoD.

Bard vs Enchanter - Bard all the way, so versatile, and great fun at parties!

Monk vs Rogue - Rogues, just 'cause they are so sneaky.

Paladin vs Warrior - Paladins, they have a bit of cleric in their soul.

Allakhazam vs Illia - Is this a trick question? =)
