A Hello:
Hi! I have been playing a short time compared to so many that I meet. I started Mishafael, my main, and really the only character I play, in December of 2004. I had a hard time learning the game - it took me a long time to get going as my ex (who got me started) and I split up only weeks after I created me. He left the game, but I was off and running! I had at that time one friend who played but he was off working all the time so I would e-mail a question (I keep drowning! How do I swim? - and a TON of other noob questions) and then waited for a long turn around for my answers.

In the real world I do IT security as a consultant, raise horses (AQHA Buckskin Quarter-Horses) which I barrel race, and I am a musician doing Irish folk, country, bluegrass, some blues and some rock - usually as pick-up gigs in local bars and such. Hey! It pays for my eq habit!

I live near the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee with three other girls (only one plays eq) in a big old farmhouse on about 20 acres. It does get a little crazy around here.

The story is currently eleven chapters written and I have about one hundred that I have outlined my story arc that still need to be done. Someday. Lol!

I have grown my hair the past two years and now wear it in a braid, and even changed my eyebrows to match. I am Misha, she lives within me, and she is me. Soooo Sick! Lol!

I play eq to have fun, to meet people, and I do plan to be one of the top Druids some day but I am not in a huge hurry. I progress daily, slow and steady, but while I do, I like to stop and look at the awesome job that the developers did in creating this alternate world we play in.

I would also like to take this time to thank all folks behind Allakhzam for providing us with this wonderful resource without which we would all be lost. I have some idea of the amount of work that must be involved in keeping all of this current and y'all deserve a Thanks!

Besides EverQuest, what other MMORPGs have you played?
Hm. I am 36, worked in computers most of my adult life and never played any games at all other then old text based ones until I got hooked on EQ - I tried EQ2, did not like it, and dropped it.

How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing?
A client of mine first showed it to me, I said, "huh-uh" and went back to work. My ex played and created a toon for me. - A redheaded human druid girl. He showed me ME in there! lol! I have not stopped playing since - but lost the husband about a month after I started (non-eq issues).

Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest?
Yes, my ex, a friend in North Carolina, and one of my roomies here plays now.

How did you come up with your main character's name?
Mishafael was the name of a character in a novella (unsold :-( ) that I wrote. Misha is "beloved" and fael is doomed, so Doomed Beloved.

What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character?
Hm. I am a real world druid - not new age, I was brought up this way. I have red-hair and look akin to Mish.

About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you?
I play most every day, probably ten-ish hours? Longest was 18 hours straight, but my usual is 6ish.

How do you spend your time in game?
I raid with my guild, or I group when I can - harder to do it seems, of late - or I solo WoS - a LOT.

What other class/race combinations have you levelled past 35?
I have many other Druids with a broad spread of ages. Some are wood elves, some are half elfs, some human.

Approximately what percentage of the EverQuest world have you experienced?
This is a difficult question for me as at one time I spent a lot of time just exploring by myself. I visited every zone that I could get into. Since I started raiding late last winter, I have gotten in to a LOT more, lol!

What is your favourite expansion?
Hm. I love Norrath. From one end to the other. I have areas I like more then others. I will fudge my answer and say all befor PoR and DoD.

What is your least favourite expansion?
DoD. I think it was too far away from my fantasy world of Norrath. Almost all the others could fit into a novel, a good fantasy novel, written at any time. DoD went left while I went straight on 'till morn.

What is your favourite zone?
You all will laugh. Nedaria's Landing. I love when I need to think to go out to the end of the boat pier and watch the water, the moon, the sunrise and sunset. To fight it, in would have to be Wos - good for solo, group and raids.

What is your favourite NPC?
The Bears of Surefall Glade!

What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)?
Although I have progressed 'way past it, I still think the Plane of Time arc is the best - and most fun. I like killing gods! lol

If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take?
Firiona Vie. I am a good lil' druid.

Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game.
Getting my epics, being seleceted as an officer in my guilds, but the times I go to bed at night with a smile on is when I KNOW I played well for my guild in a raid.

What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it?
Well over one million. I played the market with a trader-druid I made - bought cheap and sold high, or held it until I saw the market rise. Some people in here just do not realize - or care - how much can be made that way.

What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest?
Kick monster missions into the waste basket? Give female toons a LOT more choices in shoes? Seriously, I would like to have a home. I think the biggest thing EQ needs is more players - SONY needs to keep bringing people in, somehow.

What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class?
I would LOVE to be able to set multiple secondary recall points. I would love a spell or aa that would allow me to port a group to that spot, too. I DON'T want the healer/dps "switch" added for druids. More ports!

If you were responsible for organizing and running a GM event, what would it be and how would it play out?
I was told once, by a dark elf friend who had played a long time, that one time they would have the gods come down. She told me of the time a god "visited" in her home city. I would love to see events things - in the context of the lore - the old lore - came to "life" - i.e. interactive, being played. Let the chips fall as they may!

Have you ever attended a Fan Faire or another gaming event? If yes, what was it and how was the experience? If no, would you like to?
No, I would love to, but have not yet been able to make one.

If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose?
I would stay me. It is me.

How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends?
There is never a problem, really, if they are fantasy or sci-fi fans. The issue is when they are not. To them there is no amount of explaination that would ever convey what all this world is. I just tell them it is a computer game with thousands of people playing.

What is next for you in the world of EverQuest?
To be named Goddess of Norrath!!

Guild Raiding vs Grouping With Friends - Same, Tie! I love for our guild to progress, to learn and to DO, but an afternoon with good friends in a smaller setting is some of my best times ever.
