Wife and 3 step-children (2 boys and 1 girl) Besides EverQuest, what other MMORPGs have you played? WoW, but there was no comparison. I played for the length of the free trial and that was all. For me the richness and complexity of EQ has no match. How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing? I found out about EQ from looking at computer games at a store. I began playing about a year ago. Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest? No. How did you come up with your main character's name? My original pally was a human named Leifen and my first guild had an officer who could make armor, but only for a dwarf. So, I made a dwarf pally and this was the closest to the original name I could get. What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character? The class was a leftover from the old days when I played D&D. As for race as explained it was for better armor. I was a real noob at the time and knew nothing of the game. I still am a newb really, but that's what makes EQ so appealing: So much to explore and discover! About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you? I play about 5 times a week and for about 8 hours at a time. Daytime weekdays. How do you spend your time in game? I solo a lot. I spend my time right now doing tasks to get keyed for different areas and trying to build faction in Katta. What other class/race combinations have you levelled past 35? A Dwarf Paladin and a Barbarian Warrior named Wamdoan. Approximately how much of the EverQuest world have you experienced? I'd say maybe a third. What is your favourite expansion? I guess it would be TSS due to the amount of armor for new toons and the difficulty of the zones. What is your least favourite expansion? LOL TBS due to the extreme time taken to gain faction for the elite armor and spells. Plus the major difficulty of the mobs there. What is your favourite zone? Kael Drakkel 'cuz I just love to put the smack down on giants. What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)? Durunal the Cursebearer due to the fact that it gained me my 1.5. Redemption. If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take? Firiona Vie. Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game. My most memorable and proudest moment was when I first held Redemption in my hands. What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it? 100k through the selling of spells. What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest? I would give the classes who don't have the spell a gate clickie. It is such a pain having to buy gate potions. The only item I know of for a pally requires an item that costs over 100pp to make. Just doesn't seem right that the classes with the spell have clickies with no other requirements to go to POK. What types of spells, skills, disciplines, and/or alternate abilities would you like to see added to your class? We really need some way of slowing to make us a more desireable group member. I find that if they aren't killing undead then the call for pallies isn't really there much. How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends? I tell them that it's a cooperative game where you group with others to build your character and gain new items plus explore new places. What is next for you in the world of EverQuest? Next would be Katta armor and progression. Plus, I really would like to get my epic 2.0.
