Besides EverQuest, what other MMORPGs have you played?
I switched to EQ2 on release but the city lag took away all the fun. I tried WoW and CoH/Villans but they never really matched up to EQ. I plan on giving Vangaurd (Saga of Heroes) a try when it's released.

How did you find out about EverQuest, and when did you begin playing?
My boss at work bullied me into giving EQ a try, and I was hooked within a day (thanks Ulverston and Biblical).

Do you know anyone in real life who plays EverQuest?
I know a few people who still play EQ and a few who have moved on to other games.

How did you come up with your main character's name?
Random generated, with a few letters moved around. It was orginally my wife's alt that I stole the name from when she deleted it for yet another alt. I wanted a jeweler and slowly Adeara took over as a main.

What factors affected your choice of race / class for your main character?
Since it was based on tradeskills it was a min/max choice, plus Eruites are so ugly (not as ugly as Gnomes but pretty close). Greater Faydark was such a great newbie zone when newbie zones mattered.

About how often do you play EverQuest, and how long is a typical playing session for you?
4-5 times a week, if work permits 3-4 hours, longer on weekends but I tend to keep to short sessions so that I can get other things done in the real world.

How do you spend your time in game?
Grouping mainly, I'm not much of a raider. Saying that though, I like Minds of Powers' relaxed attitude to raiding, so I have done more since I joined them. I enjoy tradeskills since the new UI made it kinder on the mouse.

Approximately what percentage of the EverQuest world have you experienced?
I would say I have seen about 75% and know 50% well enough to lead a group in, more of the lower end stuff to be honest.

What is your favourite expansion?
In its day LDoN made a huge difference to the casual player, but it was a very raw version of later expansions that refined a good idea. But I still have very fond memories of being a mid 50's pally pacify pulling in North Ro LDoN's.

What is your least favourite expansion?
GoD, the exact opposite of LDoN, gave almost nothing to a casual player.

What is your favourite zone?
Hard to pick just one, but if I had to, I would go for Miragul's Menagerie LDoN zone.

What is your favourite NPC?
Fippy Darkpaw; that little dude just keeps comeing back for more.

What is your favourite raid encounter (if different from NPC)?
I'm not much of a raider, but of those I have done, the Behemoth in Innovation was the most fun.

If the war between Firiona Vie and Lanys T`Vyl erupted again, which side would you take?
Firiona being as I am a high elf.

Describe your most memorable moment or proudest accomplishment in game.
Holding off six adds in a North Ro LDoN without a single death in the party, locking that many mobs down when your not expecting it is hard when they are level appropriate content. I think the Cleric had kittens more than once in that fight.

What is the largest amount of platinum you have ever had at one time, and how did you go about accumulating it?
My wife was a great Bazaar trader, and between us we had 150k before we left for EQ2.

What are some things you would change or implement in order to improve EverQuest?
Beastlord pets should be given a permanent name when first cast. There should be more GM events that actually amount to more than a naked gnome race or treasure hunt. They should also make faction matter again.

If you were responsible for organizing and running a GM event, what would it be and how would it play out?
I would have a dragon attack a major city with various minions for the lowbies to fight off while the uber folks fought it. The rewards would in the form of base stat increases or augments.

Have you ever attended a Fan Faire or another gaming event? If yes, what was it and how was the experience? If no, would you like to?
I have attended Magic the Gathering tournaments and if they are anything to go by, NO!!! I would love to meet some of the Asylum crowd though, that would be cool.

If you had to start over from scratch, what race/class combination would you choose?
I'll stick with High elf Chanter, I've tried pretty much everything else I thats what I enjoy the most.

How do you describe EverQuest to your coworkers or computer-illiterate friends?
Lord of the Rings with thousands of Frodo's.

What is next for you in the world of EverQuest?
Leveling my newest project (shammy) and keep having fun with Adeara. Now that I have my mez that affects up to 73rd level, I feel like I can carry out my job again.
