For those who don't know, the "sh*te" is getting censored. It's supposed to read "shite" as in "Hajimemashite" or "Doushimashitaka".

Good stuff.

Bump!

Perfect, perfect, perfect!

This is exactly what I needed. Now that my work hours are more random than ever, I find myself in more JP parties. And, of course, trying to use the auto-translator to actually say anything useful is like trying to make an omelette with a baseball bat.

Thanks for the hard work put into this compilation!

This thread is already at a 5.00, but everyone that rates him up from here will still help his overall karma on this site. :)

Very good post, I'm gonna print it up and leave it near my computer for quick reference. :)

Nicely done! I can't remember much of my high school level Japanese, and this saves me the time trying to find my Japanese/English Dictionary.

Rate Up!

thanks all, but all I did was get the info together, other people did the real work by writting all that out and doing the translations(which I still don't know who they are, lol)

I want to see the equivalent on a JP board with English phrases, I think it would be funny to see what they chose.

I made a list like this ages back... kinda got me into a spot of trouble a few times so I stopped using it. Note, use romanji and well they kinda expect you to know it totally, so they reply back in romanji... be expected to see some stuff not in that list ; ; --- I have a handy pocket dictionary and my laptop to lookup what they say just incase :)

Good Work

Good job, the only problem I see though, is that most JP use those symbols. Thats where I'm stuck lol.

Nice work. Great way of spending time while your work can't be attended to.
Thanks a million.

I put most of your sentence list in an excel file for my own reference in looking up words.
Currently too dazed to do the rest (from Emotions down to Game terms)
Well, just in case anyone is interested, this is the file;
>>basic_Japanese.xls (30k)<<

I added something that I want to remember too. Some are taken from the post and the xls file that someone posted in allakhazam longgggg time ago (sorry I can't use search engine in this forum so I can't find that thread and I can't remember the poster name)

I printed that site out last week, it seems to work well, the only problem I run into is when they try to talk back. ^^

Here is a site that can teach you basic sentence structure, so you can piece together other sentences that may not be listed here:
