This spell(effect from an item)listed as a spell on test

This does seem confusing but if you go one step above the collapsible distillery to the collapsed distillery you will find it as the effect from casting from an item that is tinkered in fact just zam search for collapsed and you'll find the recipes and items that can be made thanks (on a side note it could still be on test as a spell maybe pretty sure)

This is a Tinker Made device ... iirc with a trivial skill over 250 in Tinkering. When you place it in an inventory slot and right click it * A Collapsed Distillery appears in your hands*.

This is actually a spell on the Test Server. Players on the Test Server can type /testbuffme to go straight to level 25. All spells available up to that level (for whatever class they are) are automatically scribed in their spellbook.

You people really should check your facts before flaming people.
this is a spell it comes under spells in your spell book and you cast it like a standard spell.
it creates a colapsable still in your hand like it says

just because it is not on the live servers does not mean it does not exist.

To play on test simply go to my computer-C: drive-program files-sony-everquest

Find testeverquest.exe it will start the patch screen just like live servers.

make a character
when you get in game and out of glooming mines use /Testbuff you will be level 25 with so so gear and anything and everything that is possible for your class and level. Right now as of 12-29-6 if you testbuff most classes(dont know about hybrids) you will find this spell in your list. Test does have a tendency to do that from time to time i have a cleric there that has PvP spells that are only available on the pvp server. That kind of thing happens all the time on test.

If you do try it out i would not advise flip-floping from the same folder tho it has a tendency to have very bad side effects. Just make another copy of your Everquest folder and do it that way.

There are alot of perks to test that arent on any other server. Biggest i guess is full expansion access. Any new expansion is free to play on test. Double xp is another.Only need one person in group or raid flagged to enter a flagged zone. Lots more but its pretty decent if your dsl or greater. Dial-up folks would just be updating all the time. i dont think theres been a week go by that i havent updated at least once.

For the last time, these REALLY shouldn't be listed in spells (glares at webmasters).

This is an item effect. It "unfolds" or "summons" a portable still. Basically this works just like the collapsible fishing rod, or the jewelers kit, or whatever.

That is.. normally these things (fishing rod, jewelers kit, fletching kit, etc) take up an entire inventory slot. But if you have a collapsible one from a tinkerer, then the collapsed one will go INTO another bag until you want it.

Personally I want a collapsible potter's wheel and a collapsible kiln (dangit).

Anyway these are NOT spells in any "typical" sense of that word. You don't buy them from vendors, you don't quest for them. It's just an item effect.

Do your homework before you come out here and make yourself look foolish.

It IS a spell, in every typcial sense of the word.

It's just a BETA spell, not on the live servers.

Get a clue, do your homework before you post.

Baklaar, you should check your facts before posting, and flaming. This is on live. Go to the bazaar, and search for a Collapsed Distillery. It is the only way in the game, as of this post, to "cast" this "spell". Smiley: disappointed

# Jun 04 2006 at 3:38 AM Rating: Decent
Baaklar, before posting your flaming crap here, try and read the post above yours properly. Vashra is entirely correct in saying this is neither a spell in the conventional sense of the word, nor should it be listed as such. Nothing is less helpful than looking up a list of class specific spells, and finding this crap listed there. Until it becomes a Druid castable spell, put the damn thing in some other list!

I completely disagree. I dont play on test server however there are a small percent of people who do. so for those people this is just as real as kei. I think that it should be marked as a beta only spell, but it should be listed because it is a spell available to players. also if there are spells available to the legend server i think it should also be listed here albeit with mark to denote its legend only.

I doubt they have a special item on the Test server called Spell: Unpack Brewer's Still. In fact, it would probably be listed on allakhazam if there was. Any spells, in the conventional sense of the word spell, will be available as an item "Spell: Nameofspellhere".

If you can't find Spell: Unpack Brewer's Still, how are people supposed to scribe it? Through some osmotic process? Smiley: rolleyes

Characters in the Test Server can type /testbuffme to go straight to 25 and receive all available spells for whatever class they are, up to that level, in their spell book. So yes, through some osmotic process...

Perhaps to avoid confusion, the webmasters could put something like (test), (beta), after a spell that is not live at that time.

So the title above would read:

Unpack Brewer's Still (test)

or perhaps:

Unpack Brewer's Still - T

At the very least, remove the list of classes in this "spell's" info, so that it doesn't show up when searching for your class' spell list. Smiley: wink
RE: Suggestion

the problem with this is that most of the data for the spells comes directly from the database of infomation from the EQ servers. the database says this spell is live - probably because it's used by the item listed above. about the only thing that the moderaters have much control over in the way a spell displays is in the listing of where the spell is avalible, which they put in by hand because it's not in the 'raw' data. the 'raw' data says that it's real spell, on live servers, usable by the stated classes. *shrug* i agree that it would be nice if they could get those 'spells' that aren't real off of our class spell lists, but that isn't the way that the site is designed to show the information.

Anything, be it a focus effect, spell, or item effect (Clicky or worn) is always listed under the spell section for sheer simplicity. That's the way it's been for...Well, I believe forever.

this website has a tendency to put up spells and abilities that arent in the game yet... they had the lvl 70 spells up a few months before they released Omens of war... this could get put in the game on the next expansion or a path... etc...

I've used collapsible fletching kits and cooking spits, and they all work the same way. Click the tinkered item, wait 6 seconds for the thing to "unpack", and it summons a LORE NODROP tradeskill container to your mouse cursor.
