For those that still do these quests note that MQ doesn't seem to work anymore.
At least not by a Rogue (chain class) with ally dain faction. It may work with another leather wearing class.

OK guys heres all you need to know about this tunic stuff. FIRST off you need an eroded leather tunic you can get this in Kael and ONLY in Kael. It drops near the bank and at the arena. I myself got mine in the arena. Than after you have the tunic get 3 count em 3 flawless diamonds. Than all you need is your faction you DO NOT need to be ally you can do this quest when you con kindly to them. Trust me I did this at kindly and it worked fine. Thats pretty much all you need to know and one other thing the diamonds ARE stackable when you go to give them to the lorekeeper give them to him UNSTACKED or else you will lose your diamonds and the tunic so your **** outta luck.

Someone posted that eroded leather tunic will drop from giant outpost in GD near nex spires If this is true this would be cool cause Kael Drakkal is a major pain please let me know. also I am lvl 42 monk and this quest is extremely hard even with high level guildies.

Level 45 to get this seems a bit low to me. The Flawless Diamonds drop in Temple of Veeshan for chrissakes! Sure you can buy them...but how many level 45's are walking around with 30kpp to spare on a tunic?

Since this drops behind the bank as well as in the arena, it's obtainable by a single (good) group of level 55+, or two to three groups of levels 45+ with a 50+ tank and cleric.
My guild is still fairly small at this point, and most of our levels range from 45-55 area (with the majority being about 51-53) we have taken behind bank with just over 1 group (7 people I believe it was) and had several quest pieces drop (not the tunic unfortunatly).
Oh, and for a tunic like this, you should EXPECT to dish out some serious cash... you don't get awesome items for nothing.

Whatever your smoking don't blow it in my direction. Flawless diamonds go for 3-5K on Sro.
And they only cost 600p in the bazaar on the Rathe

i have just came across this Quest . and it took me a long time to get (,Lorekeeper Einar) to give me the Quest,he gave me the Quest after about a hour. Brother and Sister what i typed to him was. I call myself a monk

giants drop the eroded armor... random drop all eroded armor...giant fort is best bet
i dont know where the diamonds drop but none sentent beings drop gems :)

I am looking to start the velium armor quests for monks and i have located the lorekeeper but i cant seem to get him to assign me the quest. i hail him and he says hes looking for monks and asks my name but responds to nothing else. Any ideas?

Ok, here's the deal. If you want to do this quest your faction has to be AT LEAST kindly. I went to do this quest when I was amiable and he wouldn't give me the quest, but as soon as I got to kindly...BICKETY BAM! quest. Hope this helps.

Well.. first off, just a warning. Haven't worked with the giants specifically, but you're way too low level to try and get this. I'm approaching 45th and just barely getting started on them.. If you have an uber guild, maybe, otherwise, don't count on it..
Try "I am a monk" or "what monk".. I can't remember what worked in Thurgadin, but it was something like that for all the class specific quests.. Luck to you.

When you walk into the city hook a left after the first gate theres a door and a hall way with two guards on left in front of another door. through that door is the guy who gives the quest. tahnks to two hours of searching i found him ;-) secondly i have been directly told by a wizard that eroded leather drops on the ginats in the fort on the left when you first walk into the great devide. if im found to be wrong let me know and if i found out im wrong ill let you know.

So woh knows wehre the eroded leather armor drops ? i have theory that it drop soff giants in giant city liek coroded does. Can anyone suport this theory?
