In order to do this quest, you must make sure of the following:
1. You MUST be Kindly or better to get the quest.
2. If you can get a positive response from saying "What Breastplate?" Then you can do it.
3. If MQ'd, BOTH chars must have Kindly.
It didn't take me long to get from Apprehensive to Kindly.

The armor you need for quest drops in both the arena and bank area the mobs that usually drop it is lieutant and higher. they are a random drop no promises made on what armor will drop if any. but the good news is you can MQ other class armor for a nice profit. hopes this helps you all out

I can't say I'm the 'expert', but I have looked at Kael Drak stats. I found a post here elsewhere. Where a group of 6 lvl 55+ owned the arena.
They said it's guards, vets, Prot, lego and another.
Like a good researcher I went to beastiary looked these mobs up. They are 53-59th.
I would think if you are lvls 45+, that you might need to go with 5 groups, CLE's in all for sure.

Anyone know how good your faction must be with this dude to turn in the items for your breastplate? I just got my corroded and am working on my faction and coming up with the diamonds... But I have a feeling the faction might take a while because I was at one point amiable to Kromzek and apprehensive to Kromrif =/

At first. I thought it would be a hard work to rise my faction with the coldians caz my faction with them was Rdy to attack. But after I spent a day on killing giants( about 15+ hours)
my faction with them were kindly alrdy =) it was quite dam fast so dont worries about the faction. The MQ will be more a demanding work than the faction.

If I remember right he wouldn't talk to me till kindly. But was ally by the time I was ready for my first turn in. Congrats on the Breastplate. I hate you. A few more good rounds in Kael or just spend some time in GD hitting giants for faction when others are killing them should get your faction up.

Thanks for the info... 3 days of solid giant fort hunting in GD and the Coldain are still scowling to me... I'm collecting lots of toes and heads though to repeatedly do the first two steps of the shawl quest once I get to dubious to help boost the faction up a bit more.
Odd thing to note though... all Coldain are scowling to me... Chamberlain Krystoff (sp?) and all the Icewell Royal Guards are scowling to me... BUT Dalgrim Underbelly is dubious. Weird? I went into his shop and dropped invis, hailed him and he even said something to me, but then I had to tell him I was late for dinner at my mother's house since a guard aggroed on me from outside the shop.

Once you hit dubious it comes pretty quickly from there .. I was also allied with giants for a time and recently switched back .. took ALOT of giants (800-1k) before the dwarves were dubious to me ... CoV faction will be there really tough one to get

30ac on umbral over 42ac on this. stats more important? How did you pass level 46 again?
For all those "misinformed SK's" out there here's some quick facts.
- This is the same as PoG (noctivigant) except a few minor stat changes on certain peices. you dont require to trash faydark faction if you have it.
- Flawless diamonds mostly drop in Dragon Necropolis.
- Ancient Tarnished armor drops in Temple of Veeshan and Unadorned drops off the west wing (quest wing) in ToV. The tarnished is for Kael Drakkal quests (high faction) and Unadorned is for SkyShrine armor.
Skyshrine (blood runed) has a few more stat buffs and less AC. Kael armor (malevolent) has the highest AC for SK's in game. SS armor is bright bright red, and Kael is teal.
Dont expect to get any of this unless your around level 60 and are in an 'uber' guild so to speak. Not only that, it takes a long time to aquire this armor. Mostly due to the fact that it's PLATE so all plate classes need these peices for their armor quests as well.

Actually, if you are just referring to the BP, the Kael armor has more AC than the SS (52 vs 50)

Plus, the skyshrine armor pieces drop in the East wing, not the west wing. :)

Seems the Kael stuf has a little higher ac than Noc armor and bloodember is about on par with Noc I think. ***** blood hat shty sucks rather have some stats then spells. Although I that breast plate is awesome and thats about it. I say go for blood BP and then NOC or quest armor everywhere else. I would rather have Umbral over blood at least I get some stats. Stats help big time you just do not realize it I play with shaman mainly and I kick *** more after I have all the agility str dex buffs. I am a DE so spells are not a problem what soever always have mana. I would like to see more of the thurgadin stuff and kael. Has anyone got any from skyshrine yet wonder what its stats are.

Now, I have velious, but am just not high enough level to go there just yet (luvin' the neat lil addons though) but my guess would be that iffin yer lookin' for corroded stuff, it might be a good idea to look into a couple of possiblities (if it follers logic) and that would be possibly:
1. Possibly something found on the undead
2. Something found in a place with acid or rust (perhaps a city or something in the awakening lands)
Just a (hopefully) useful input from a trollie sk who wants one too.

sorry to anyone lower then 50, cause u need to be at least that high to do these quests. corroded armor drops in Kael, the giant city, pretty far in. the mobs it drops off are 54+ and generally requires a plane run sized group of players to get to (or u do what we did, camp a 60 mage in a safe spot with lots of pearls and summon everyone there from zone, doing that we managed to do ok with 1 group, but we were only able to pull 1 or 2 mobs that drop corroded). i got corroded legs today off adjucant something or rather, stats are lore, nodrop, ac9, all classes that can wear plate. looks like shin greives when worn. as for the gems ur guess is as good as mine, ive gotten a few quest gems out of the wakening and cobalt scar, but as for whether ours drop there i got no clue. anyway, goodluck and have fun, ill post more when i know it.

I got full umbral already, so i doubt its worth the action for me. I never saw the Stats of this armor, but if i compare it to other classes niveau it seems only Blood Ember and Noctivagant stuff makes sense. Correct me pls.

The Paladin Vambrace has been found and the stats on that are AC 19 which is three higher than Umbral and two less than Blood Ember; plus a number of stats. The armor appears to be a step up from Umbral AC and stat-wise but less AC than Blood Ember. A full set of this would be better than a full set of Umbral.

Seems, ure right. Boot quest is completed, 21 AC is quite nice. Though id like to have more infos. If u really need a same amount on ppl like for a plane, why dont we forget those quests and get noctivagant stuff, of that i suppose, that stats are the same than thurgadin armor, but no quest to do?

For the RZ high-lvl crew, this is a nice alternative to Blood Ember (or whatever your Sebilisian Armor is), being Nodrop but still having a higher-than-planar AC.
