This shared task is given in in the Ruins of Lxanvom from Jerill the Enraged at the zone in (Bubonian looking NPC).
You say, 'Hail, Jerill the Enraged' Jerill the Enraged says 'Look, I don't have time to deal with you. Just hang out here, if you'd like, until your body rots away. That's fine with me. You might be more [useful] as a pile of decayed slime than you are like that.' You say, 'useful' Jerill the Enraged says 'I guess I can't assume that you know what that word means. It means that you do something that isn't just breathing. Maybe you could deliver some important messages to my troops for me? That would be useful. Considering the quality of the people currently working for me, you couldn't be worse. Those lazy rotters have been ignoring my orders for too long. You could [teach them] a lesson or two.' You say, 'teach them' Jerill the Enraged says 'They will only learn by beating them up, a lot. I'd do it, but I have to stay here.' You have been assigned the task 'Apathy of Decay'. There's a permanent spell: Decay that limits HP/Mana to 80%. It does not work on mercs so if you use mercs (at the moment, perhaps it will get nerfed), they have full health. Malinan was up around the first corner with 5 mobs at the area of the small bridge with the Death Lords, has also been noted "way back in the second big room with pews in it, in the undead magus/priest area". If you kill him, he stops at about 15% and you lose aggro and task updates. Down via chair to the bottom of the crypt. Melferious Ronn is lying at the floor at the evil side, right area. take the ground spawn: Scrawled Notes. He is at the good side, left area which leads to Ilsa Granger. Resnak attacks if close but de-aggroes fast after getting flask. He cannot be killed or really attacked (it seemed for us so). Ground spawn: Dread Poison. If you use Rogue/SOS, Ranger or DA then you should get the ground spawn safely. Task locks here One side (good/dubious): unicorns/golems, other side (evil/kos): Bubonians/Deathlords. Deathlords: mez does not work. Didn't test if the Deathlords in the upper area count too. The cubes 'a blight' are non-aggro but if they roll thru you they will infect you with this spell. The best way I came up with is using pets/merc's to engage these cubes and they do not become infected. If you let one roll over your party they will all become infected for 10 mins and make for a fun challenge fighting with no mana
I did not find Melferious Ron or Resnak at any of the places marked on the maps or listed in this write up. Though they are in the basement area, they appear to move around/spawn in different places.

Soloed this with a merc, so size is likely 1-6 now, not 3-6.

1. Malinan Grogsby is in the second small area past Witchdoctor Parawin (he does not aggro). (i.e. head West, and go up the Bridge). The best way is to kill everything along the way, as IVU keeps breaking all throughout this zone Also the mobs swarm at you sometimes without apparant reason. From on the Bridge and along the right side of the next room towards Witchdoctor Parawin, swarms of maggots spawn. I must have been standing on a trap spot, and they just kept coming.
So go up the Bridge, keep left, and kill everything (hopefully without swarming the others), and then I found it worked to pull Malinan, and a ghoul next to him into the other room.
Knock Malinan down to some low percentage, and he despawns.
2. The next parts are a little easier. Melfirous Ron is on the other part via the chair (basement). Head north in the right hand corridor, you will get an add when you get there, but all you have to do is pick up the ground spawn, and this stage finishes.
3. From what I can tell Resnek moves around. I found him not on any of the marked spot, he was in the basement. Go north along the left side corridor, and take first left he was a little way down that part of the corridor. When you get there just pick up the bottle ground spawn, and resnek despawns.
4. For the Death lord partm I stayed in the basement, and killed deathlords. I tried killing a Golem, but did not count.
The other 2 spots per the map and other sources are:
North left corridor take first left, then turn north and go to end.
North left corridor all the way to end and turn left and go to end. This part is odd, as the map implies the last part where Resnek is is larger than when I got there

When I did this quest, Malinan Grobbsby was way back in the second big room with pews in it, in the undead magus/priest area.

- Melferious Ron's corpse appears on the ground at loc +199, neg -30. This location was on the living side of that area. Click the chair in main room, then NE tunnel second right on the ground. His corpse is there but not targettable, there is what looks like a book in the ground. click it to pick up a Scrawled Notes.
Resnak, that incompetent, has gone missing 0/1
- Resnak corpse is a Bubionian, cannot loot it either. I found it at location +122, -74.45. This location was on the living side of that area.Underneath him there is what looks like a yellow glowing potion, pick it up for update, it's called a Dread Poison, There seems to be targetting issues so I had to move around him and tery from different angles to loot it to finally pick it up.
