The sixth monk sash. I am told that there is no way to get this via a quest, since it is reserved for the guild masters. If you want one, you will have to kill the guildmaster to get it and suffer the obvious consequences.

I just started a newbie monk on SZ and when I went trough all the vendors in Freeport to find quest components I stumbled across the purple AND the blue sash of honor at a merchant at the casters guild. Stats of the blue one:
ac1 str1 dex2 sta3 cha3 agi2 hp3

I bought myself a purple one for about 5pp, couldnt afford the blue one, it costs 16pp ...
Sending a screenie of the blue on in as soon as possible.

I dont Think There IS a Blue or Black Sash .. yes Ive got a lvl 10 Monk With the Red sash of order and Purple head Band). First of all Its not Impossible To Kill the guild Leaders.. You Just Need a ... what 30 40 people?. all over the lvl 50 . I havent Reached this Lvl yet.. 5 to go :). Second ..Most guild Leaders are not Meant to Be Killed... The Red Sash And Purple head band Are the Last. Since they Are used in another quest .. Monk robe.. Lost circle and whistling fists I think. You can of course Kill off quinn or that other monk Guy In Rathe mounts. youll need a uber guild to take him. If there was A Later stage it Would be incorporated In The Epic ==== like the red and Purple sash/headband. If you Really Wanna say youve got a black Belt as a monk.. Get a Fbss.

'Cause in any form of martial arts the only way your teacher will ever think he is a good matial artist is to have the student 'best him' so this "quest" makes sense.

LOL iam a iksar monk and my guild master was yellow to my level 60 monk friend and he punch for almost 500 point of damage when i made and alt war iksar and was running around attacking guard and guild masters. Any way no one in there right mind would kill and Iksar monk in cab cause he i surounded by the swifttail elite witch all hit for almost 500 as well so to answer your quest a lvl 60 monk could not take you guild master and of course hell fight back you thing he just going to stand there dieing?
interesting indeed

when i hailed the master monks in Freeport, and asked "what blue sash" they kept referring to the monk who "takes over" when teh grand master is away (i forget his name, but he is next to the door when you enter the ashen order house). and he doesn't respond to hails.. either a special triggered quest, or indeed, you have to "best him".. i'll be exploring this further.

Killing the masters

Don't think of it as killing your guild masters. It's more along the lines of, you have initiates that wear the lower end belts to show their alliengance. But as more and more of these initiates gain power with in the order they require new sashes to show their rank, Well sence there is only a limited amount of the higher end sashes, you will need to prove your better than the person holding it to claim it. Basicly when you want you can "spar" the masters, and take their sash to claim you are worthy.

Anybody ever think of getting a rogue to try and PP these things off the guildmasters? Get another monk there and have him Feign Pull one of the monks out near zone or something or do it the old fashioned way, get em and run like hell to the east FP zone, let the rogue PP until aggro, zone repeat =)

If there is such an item as the blue sash, it would probably be a magic item like the red sash, and rogues can NOT pickpocket magic items.

Killing a monk in the guild house does not drop faction. You must kill your master to get the sashes, sorta like in D&D. You ARE meant to kill them.

I dont know much about the sashes past the red one for i am a Iksar and didnt bother much to raise my faction but i have found out how to do the other ones but i do know that the PURPLE sash of order is where you kill the Guild master not the blue!

Actually, you have to do this for the Purple, Blue, and Black SASH from the Guild in Freeport. You also have to do this for the Blue and Black HEADBAND from the Guild in Qeynos.

If these advanced sashes are reserved for the master monks, it may be that you need to be a high level monk with perfect AshenOrder faction to even have the quest presented to you. It wouldn't make sense for the sashes to exist without a way to get them. Yes, I am aware that you can kill the monks for them, but that would go against everything monks stand for - as well as hurting your faction.

Of course, I can't verify this yet. I am only a level 14 monk. :)

the thing is if any of you have read about how monk works it is order of assention you have to kill the masteres to get higher belts after red I haven't tried yet but it shouldn't matter about that after all Monks are the Wizards of Melee!!!!

besides if you feel so badabout killing NPC's get off Everquest!
