This is a solo kill task that begins with Giladan the Botanist at location -65, -1700, -105 in the Grounds (due east of the zone-in; just east of the central garden and next to Spensur, the Rk. III spell NPC).
You say, 'Hail, Giladan the Botanist' Giladan the Botanist says 'These blasted things won't let me get any [work] done! First it's those rude [peponnites], then the arrogant [tree] things, then the buzzing [bixies], then those flea infested [dogs], and finally that awful pond scum [snake] and its offspring! It's no wonder why this once beautiful place is gone in the gutter!' You say, 'Bixies?' Giladan the Botanist says 'They are so vital to the pollination of all the plants here, that it was only natural that I would be interested in talking to them. But you know what I got for my trouble? Aggression and just all around bad manners! Maybe if you could... [persuade] them, if you know what I mean.' You say, 'I'll persuade them...' Giladan the Botanist says 'You may want to exterminate some of their wasp helpers too.' You have been assigned the task 'Taking on the Hive'. Giladan has asked you to persuade the bixie hive into letting him into that area to speak with them.
