This task begins with Arch Druid Lilthill`yan in the Elddar Forest at about 860, -300 (northeast of the city's boundaries).

Arch Druid Lilthill`yan says 'Why do you disturb our meeting, little one? The forest is dying. The [omens] are here even if the drought has not yet begun.'

Arch Druid Lilthill`yan says 'The omens are everywhere! The elves fight amongst one another. The giants approach closer and closer from the east. Even the orcs gather where untouched wilderness previously grew. This forest nears the autumn of its life. These treants need our [help] if they are to survive the gathering desert.'

You say, 'I will help.'

Arch Druid Lilthill`yan says 'Here is what must be done, Half Elf. May the dawn's light guide you.'

Finished this tonite...all you need to do is kill 15 giants. That is it. Great quest. We had 2 people who were not getting credit for the kills...it seems to be a tad bugged, but a very nice return. Oh, Do NOT use Wolf form...those treehuggers that roam the zone really don't like it.

After killing the 15 giants, the next thing you need to do to get your item is go speak to Arch Druid Lilthill`yan again, the item will show up in your inventory, not on you mouse pointer just so you know. If the zone wasn't so laggy this quest would probably be more popular.

We have only killed 10 of the Giants so far, but here is what we know:

The mobs range up to lvl 71, although most are less than 70. Most do not see inivs, but rarely they do. The melee types are straightforward pulls, snarable, hit in the low 1000's, and rampage. Summon.

The caster types are a slower pull, since they stop stop to cast, and will summon on enough damage.

If there is a boss mob to kill, he is in the first hut inside the village. Fastest way in might be to just go over the ridge.
