Well, I hit level 10 and I only have the Boots and Tunic to go. Still waiting for a Tunic to come up for sale or to drop, but by far the hardest part of this series, as most folks know, is finding the Whiskers from the Giant Field Rats. I have noticed some things that have speeded up the process greatly.
First, there are particular points where the Giant Field Rats spawn, so if you know where they are, you can just keep plugging away at them relatively undisturbed.
The first point is right on the hill nearest the first set of Gnoll Watchers (first set if you are arriving from the direction of Qeynos). I always sit on that hill and track, and without fail I get a Giant Field Rat within a few minutes, if not immediately.
The second points are around the center of the Qeynos wall, on both sides. Halfway between the zone line and the abandoned camps, almost flush against the wall.
The final point and the most isolated in terms of other people being around (but also the one I haven't yet confirmed) is just south of the small lake. Not positive on that one though.
Using the first three points, I managed to drop about 12 or 14 Giant Field Rats in an hour, and managed 3 sets of Giant Field Rat Whiskers (2 dropped in a row, which was nice). Got the Bracers and the Gloves right after.

I have found more the Ruined Armor drops mostly off of Patrolling Gnolls. And yes finding Giant Field Rat Whiskers is a definite pain in my ***** I am now lvl 12 and still need 3 of the whiskers to complete my Green Suit.

I haven't done any of these Ranger quests yet...My ranger is 28 and has better stuff...but it'll be fun next time i'm back in the Qeynos Hills.
However, I just finished working on my Halfling Cleric armor. Some things are hard to find...in my case parts for the BreastPlate and Greaves. I did manage to finish the BP (it looks cool), but gave up on the Legs.
So, if you really want these items...just keep at it. It doesn't hurt to /ooc or /shout what you are looking for either. Don't ask for the ENTIRE list...but if you mention one or two, others may come across them and give you a /loc
This happened alot when I was working on Cleric gear in Misty Thicket. Once a few of us started, it caught on quick...cause everyone needs a little bit of this and a bit of that. You may not need what is on that corpse, but another Ranger or Druid may.

these giant field rat wiskers are impossible to get..... i have killed about 100 of them and all i get is giant rat wiskers. they need to patch this. it supposed to be a newbie quest and thew stuff is impossible to find.

Not impossible, just hard. I've managed to pick up two but now I'm trying to figure out which gnolls to kill to get the ruined chain armor.

Take a look at the new druid armor quests in surefall..more info there..just keep in mind this is only human/half elf wearable
