You say, 'Hail, Jarrex N`Ryt'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'What have we here? A new weakling that wishes to reap some sort of self-value and renown through service to the Indigo Brotherhood perhaps? Well speak up whelp!! Have you come to [destroy the enemies of Neriak] or are you a coward better suited to mop the filth from the back rooms of the Maidens Fancy. '

You say, 'I have come to destroy the enemies of Neriak'

Jarrex N`Ryt says 'If you are going to be of any value to the Indigo Brotherhood you will need to outfit yourself in a suit of armor that will turn aside the blades of enemy forces. From the looks of you even the tiny fangs of a moss snake could bring you death. Take this request form to Issva H'Rugla to get yourself started on the assembly of your armor. When you have procured some protection for your weakling body return to me for [further instruction]. '

Issva H`Rugla says 'So you are one of Jarrex's new recruits. You are to assist in the construction of the armor you will don as a new Warrior of the Indigo Brotherhood. I have assembled a kit that is used in the crafting of Orc Slayer Mail. You must travel beyond Neriak into the Nektulos Forest for the [materials] that compose the armor. '
You say, 'what materials?'
Issva H`Rugla says 'Many species of dangerous creatures, the walking dead, and invading Deathfist Orcs inhabit the Nektulos Forest. You must defeat these creatures and undead in order to obtain the materials. The materials you seek depend on the piece of armor you desire. Do you desire to craft [gauntlets], [boots], a [bracer], a [helm], [greaves], [vambraces], or a [breastplate]? '

You say, 'I desire to craft a breastplate'

Issva H`Rugla says 'To craft an Orc Slayer Breastplate you require four [silk thread], a pristine pyre beetle carapace, an orc sternum, and an orc ribcage. Once you have the necessary components combine them in your Mail Assembly Kit with this Tattered Tunic Pattern. '

Check this out I got the BP, its nice and heres how, I bought the pristine pyre beetle carapace from a merchant, you wont belive how many people sell the good stuff, its only 3gp to buy back from merchants, oh BTW there is a camp with an orc on each side (easy single pulls) and 3 inside, this might help some peeps get the bones easier, its near EC ent on the side with Travus twotone

I was lucky enough to find a standard pyre beetle carapace on about the 3rd or 4th beetle i killed, haven't found on since. Also, i haven't found where i can find low lvl orcs. This quest says start at 5. Is that solo or grouped cause the Legos con yellow and red to me. Any help would be appreciated

So far I have been lucky enough (very very lucky) to get all pieces except for the Orc Sternum and Pristine Pyre Beetle Carapace. The drop rates seemed pretty frequent (again, I think I was lucky) except for the Carapaces. Those things are very difficult to get! I would go to one Orc camp and stay until the bone drop rate slowed then I would go to another. If any of you are on Rodcet Nife and need a bone or two look up Kanrae. I have a few in the bank. For a level 13 DE Warrior with little to no plat to my name this was an awesome quest.

Get behind the counter...forget the long typing of a phrase.

Simply type the word you want...ie "Breastplate" then she give it to you.

I did the chestplate helm vambrace and greaves in about 6 hours. Keep in mind you can buy the carapace(s) at various vendors and for 6 gp u can buy a small sewing kit and make your own threads besides any warrior should have atleast the small kit to construct threads for bandages.

I will say that the foot bones and ulna bones must be the rare ones I have yet to see them drop of any orc including scouts. I also did this all at the 1st orc camp closest to the city. Mabye the bones drop at one of the other camps for bracers and boots. Will test that today and post back here.

I have been trying to do this aromor quest for the past 3 days now, an have gotten poor results. I can not get Issva H'Rugla to talk to me after she asks me what peace I want to craft. Spent 30min talking to her last night trying every thing I could think of say with no luck. I petitioned a GM and when she got there Issva gave her the pattern first try but would still not give it to me. GM told me that it the quest was working and she could not help. I tried agin with all my DE characters and still nothing. finaly after an hour of messing around with it I did get the helm pattern. Today I finaly got the ribcage and went back to do the BP part and agin she would not talk to me after asking what one did I want to craft. I sat there for 35min agin trying to get her to give me the pattern but got no were and had to log. I have no idea what the prop\blem could be and I would be greatful to anyone that may know more about this.

total armor stats:

AC +49 Hp +13
Str +9 SvD +1
Sta +5 SvP +1
Dex +2

not too bad AC and stats for a lvl 5 to lvl 10 DE war to get. and not too hard from what i hear, though some drops are more rare than others. i am in a low lvl guild with a few higher chars but i plan on getting the armor for that slots i dont have taken...i am still lvl 9 so there is a bit of challenge left for decent armor...very good to finally see....

Just got mine. I've had the bones since level 3, a level 16 let me loot his extra, and the pristine carapase i had to buy in the enchanter guild in Neriak for like 1 gold. All in all the stats are nice for a low level 12 AC, +2 Str +5 Hp. I never seen the pristine carapase drop. I've been killing the things for the last 3 days, and offering up to 10pp with no takers.

Did the faction hit on CB/DF Orcs change? Killing them has always given Negative Indigo Brotherhood. If so, was everyone's faction with the brotherhoood reset? And does D'Vynn still spawn in the tower in CB? Doesn't make much sense if he did.

Deathfist orcs do not give Indigo Brotherhood faction.
RE: Faction
# Mar 24 2002 at 6:27 PM Rating: Default
Poping the Deathfist Orcs have nothing to do with the Indigo Brotherhood. It gives the standard faction stuff with the only negative faction being Deathfist Orcs.

The negative to Indigo Brotherhood are the orcs in Crushbone.

I have completed the quest for the BP, I only looted one Pristine Pyre Beetle Carapace, and it was funny, I just remarked to my partner that I had not found one yet, it was the only one in 12 hours of play on this quest alone. Hope it sheds some light on it for ya.
