Monk Kael Tunic  

Tunic is found in Wtov, and BP gems can drop in alot of places, personally ive found if u need BP get a Sirens Grotto group going, they drop like candy in the well area off the Sirens.

Anyone know where the ancient leather tunic can be found or dropped?

Is ALWAYS an issue. Even with 24 pounds at 60 you have to watch coin and weapons. Tranq staff is 10.00 stone.

IFS is 4.0 stone with NO proc. At higher levels I find coin to be more of a weight limiter than weapons.

Sheesh I have probably dumped 1k plat on the ground in the form of copper, silver and gold over my Monk career.

Fungal Tunic is great for dungeon crawls and static camps. In an Epic encounter Aggro management counts for more than 15 hit regen a tick.

I mistakenly got aggro against Lord Yelinak - lasted all of about 6 seconds. Can't regen from

The actual AC diff would be about 9 (37 to 28 or so), All three are nice items. Not sure I would take my Fungal tunic off for any of them though.

This IS the best, from what I have seen Kael class specific quest armor is FARRRR better than thurgadin and skyshrine. Since you cant actually see the stats on the tunic here, you can't see how absurd it would be for the tunic to drop in thurgadin. The stats are....

golden star (kael)

23 ac 60 hp 15 str 13 sta 6 agi 6 dex 3 to all saves 0.5 wt

white lotus chest wraps (skyshrine)

18 ac 60 hp 14 str 5 sta 13 agi 13 dex 4 to all saves 0.5 wt

grand master's chest wraps (thurgadin)

16 ac 60 hp 13 str 4 sta 13 agi 4 dex 3 to all saves 0.5 wt

Soooo.....here is my reasoning: golden star has the highes ac, str, and sta. Grandaster (as you can see) is the worst. White lotus, I must admit, is very close in quality to golden star, but from exp i have found that ac and sta is far more valuble that agi. as for dex, i think it would be safe to say that if you are a monk in a guild that is able to do TOV to get the tunic for this, you will already have CF's, so you don't need dex for a proc, unless you use a tstaff occasionally (and of course all melee skills will be capped by then so you wont need dex for learning skills either). I feel sorry for any monk who spent time getting dorf faction =(
