The ancient silk Turban drops in Kael. I got mine in the Arena. Then you must bring it to Stoem (in the church) with the 3 gems (got them in SG) and be kindly to him or he wont give you the quest. Even casting Benevolence on him will not help. In order to improve factions you must kill dire wolfs and Giants frost near the EW zone. Go to the fort, there are most lame mobs who hits in the 90, easy to root and snare and dies quick. The wolfs are just factions on foot.

The ancient silk stuff, any of it drops in Temple of veeshan.. its nodrop but multiquestable. anyone in their right mind who has one, needs it, therfore probably wont multiquest it.

forget the last post.. says in other posts the temple of veshaan has the ancient stuffs.

Has anyone identified Hatars Turban to see if the identified name is different? Mebe thats the ancient silk turban? Mebe not dunno .. just a thought and I dont have a hatar fine silk turban so I cant check meself.

Hatar's turban is identified as a Fine Silk Turban. Not the same thing. Ancient Silk Turban is called an Ancient Silk Turban, and drops in the Temple of Veeshan in Velious from high level drakes and wurms.

Is it possible for us casters to get a helm with the new graphics, or are they only allowing melee types to show off their nice stuff, AGAIN ??
I *really* want that awesome looking helm on my Enchantress.. and this is one of the very few items that might actually be visible since I have to wear a stupid bath robe...

dont expect roleplayers and real life questors to play eq as it would seem that the only people other then the ones who have completed this quest want to know step by step how to do it rather then to take the time to figure it out themselves.
I am sorry, I just find it sad that one would complain so much that other people are not "giveing" away something they worked hard for knowledge, Instead the immediatly wield the greed stick and start bashing those who have done what others can not

Humm...ppl who refuse to help are just wrong...a very selfish practice if you ask me...not everyone can learn the same way...just like some ppl learn better reading and others learn better doing... You know?

No they are not wrong, they are actually helping. I myself have grown tired of seeing the vast amount of Twinking that goes on, and about 50% of the time I will let a no drop item rott rather than send a tell to the person at the zonline shouting that they are paying to loot it.
People who dont help arnt wrong, they are just the few left who have some respect for what level people should get things at. I personally wouldnt mind if almost everything better that plate was No Drop, but sellable to vendors.

There have been many times i have not shouted the loc of a nodrop item specifically while in Maidens eye. There is nothing worse than getting hit with the trains ppl create trying to get to an item before others do. As for sharing Knowledge this site is a spoiler so coming here and touting off that this or that is wrong is just plain silly. There is also no libraries in norath that you can go look up information or find that obscure person who gives you the name or place where to find an item.

where do you get the ancient silk turban, i mean right now at my lvl (32) it is possible for me to do this quest the crushed gems aren't no drop but where is the turban and is it no drop

dont expect anyone who finished this quest, or who knows where ancient silk drops, to tell you anything. its rather sad that rather than make the game more fun for others high levels like to keep everything secret and jack up prices to beyond ridiculous. my guess would be ancient silk drops off dragons, lvl50+...
