You say, 'Hail, Reebo Leafsway'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Greetings and salutations, Rootless! My name is Reebo Leafsway, loyal Druid of [Karana]. I am in charge of helping young druids who wish to get started down the [trail to Karana's wisdom]. I also do my share of tending the [crops].'

You say, 'What crops?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'The crops we grow here are mostly carrots, lettuce and squash. We also are the only place on all of Norrath where the soil can support the mystical Jumjum Stalk.'

You say, 'What about Nillipuss?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Nillipuss? Oh that dirty brownie keeps stealing our jumjum for his own greedy uses. We certainly would not mind if someone taught him a painful [lesson].'

You say, 'What lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'He needs to be taught not to steal our jumjum! If you find some jumjum on him, I would appreciate it if you would return it to me.'

Nillipus is approximately level 15 and likes to run around the main roundabout in town around Fool's Gold and down the passage by Meeka Diggs.

Nillipuss shouts 'Nillipuss, Nillipuss is my name. Stealing jumjum is my game. Think you can catch me? Let's see if you can! I'll always run faster than you ever ran.'

Attack him and kill him.

Nillipuss says 'Caught me you did but what will you do when I crush you and eat you in my jumjum stalk stew?'

You may need to kill him four times for the four Jumjum Stalks. Bring the four items to Reebo:

Reebo Leafsway says 'Oh good! I see you have taught that nasty Nillipuss a thing or two! Good. But it seems to me that he has stolen more jumjum than this. Perhaps he needs another lesson?'

Reebo Leafsway says 'Excellent!! You must have taught ol' Nillipuss a great deal! But he never seems to learn.. Oh well. The Stormreapers and all of Rivervale owe you a debt of gratitude. Please accept this token of our appreciation.'

Your faction standing with Storm Reapers has been adjusted by 10.
Your faction standing with Mayor Gubbin has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Merchants of Rivervale has been adjusted by 1.
Your faction standing with Unkempt Druids has been adjusted by -1.
You gain experience!!
You receive 15 silver from Reebo Leafsway.

You may also receive one of several items (listed below).

To get him to spawn you ask Reebo who he is, he then tells you to teach him a lesson and return the Jumjum, I only did this for the brownie parts but will try again for Jumjum now I've read you get something. By the way I killed him twice and got one stalk.

Nope, I have asked Reebo about Nillipuss a lot of times and he has never spawned after asking him. Each time, i did a complete runthrough of the quest with Reebo.
Reebo wont give me quest

Even though Reebo wont give me quest
i can give him 4 stalks and he will give me a item and some change

well if you're in rv at the time brownie boi spawns, you'll see that he shouts a dumb lil message...if you head to the wood elf by the inn that's where he is before he hits the pOd....=) latez
Hmmm i think i got an idea!!!

Maybe if you just pick up the jumjum stalks that pop up every now and then in the farm and turn those in.... then maybe you could complete the quest early in your life without killing him...... then when you are a high enough lvl you can beat the **** out of him like there is no tommorrow. =)

Just a note.. don't leave anything lying on the ground when he's near, he will steal it. He took a large number of items from me once that I had just dropped. I wasn't high enough level to kill him so I don't know if he had the items on him. If so, someone prolly had a heart attack when they looted him :)
Also, I was in a building (the Inn) at the time, he stole them through a wall.

Most NPC's will pick up dropped items if they wander by them. I've seen packs, weapons, equipment, and coin (back when you could still drop it) disappear in this manner.

Completed quest. Got 8gp and 2 sp. No item. Made sure I had an open pack slot to accept pack, too. So that wasn't it.

You don't need to kill Nillypuss
# Jun 04 2001 at 7:39 PM Rating: Decent
To get the stalks just hand around Shakey Scarecrow at the druids guild for a while. Periodically Jumjum stalks appear on the ground near him

Sorry ... the ground spawn jumjum stalks do not work for the quest. You really do need to kill Nillipuss.

The quest items are random always a new item and also you dont always get items its kinda level dependent. If you are to high it seems you get nothing. As a level 48 enchanter I cant get anything anymore from turning in 4 stalks. Used to give pouches and the ring long ago now i get coin and faction is all. I bet the cut off is 35th but I havent tested it much anymore. Rather nice quest for killing a low level monster in all regards.

Being a druid, I port into Misty and run to Rivervale to do my banking since it is a low traffic area. Anyway, I go through today and kill Nillipus for the second time (gotta love how he announces his presence to the whole zone). I then run over to the druid area and turn in my four stalks. BINGO! First time doing the quest and I get the pack. I guess it’s my luck since I lost the roll on two different forest loops the day before in FM.

If you give Nillipus the stolen jum jum and then kill him will you be able to get an extra stolen jum jum to give to reebo?

Got the pack
# Apr 18 2001 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
I just finished camping Nillipuss for the past week. I did the quest 4 times. First time I was awarded nothing but some silver and gold. Second time I screwed up and didn't have an open inventory slot. Third time I got a Runners Ring. Finally today I got the Travellers Pack.

If you're killing the poor sap within Rivervale, won't the guards sorta want to whack you...? Just wondering

Nillipuss is apparently considered a serious pest by the folks in Rivervale. I've killed him a few dozen times and I've never seen anybody come to his aid.

The guards don't seem to care. I killed him when I was lvl 29 and didn't receive any sort of faction hit either. He makes the cutest noises when you b*tch slap him. hehe

Halflings...Brownies...think about it...and besides..he's a little thief! would be cool if there was a wanted poster for him on a wall somewhere -=)
Any ideas?

Is it possible to get a specific item for doing this quest? Is it determined by your faction standing, or is the reward absolutely random?
Eye of Disvan
# Feb 24 2001 at 1:45 PM Rating: Decent
I just completed this quest finally, resulting with the reward of an Eye of Disvan. It looks like a Lightstone, is Magic, and is all/all. I hope that it isn't a named Lightstone... if anyone has any idea what good this item is, I'd love to know.

I have one of these, too. I have no idea what it is for, either. It seems to be one of the minor mysterys of the game.

No reward on completeing the quest
# Feb 18 2001 at 4:51 PM Rating: Decent
Did the quest today.. handed in 4 jumjums from the brownie... got experience and it said 'take this token as a show of our appreiciaton... DIDNT GET ANY ITEM....
I enjoy doing quests... but I tell you when you dont get any item after doing the quest, it sucks... spent alot of hours camping nillipus the brownie... What a waist of time this quest was...

Very disappointed

Always have a free primary slot when doing quests, especially ones that give bags. See you were going to get one of the weight reducing bags, but all your primary inventory slots were full so you got nothing.

# Oct 01 2001 at 4:27 AM Rating: Decent
Not true - I've also gotten that same message and no reward other than coin when I've had an empty main inventory slot and the cursor free too. But it's always a safe bet to keep a slot open "just in case".
Only rewarded once

The first time i completed this quest I got a nice +25 pois resis amulet. Completed it twice more over a few weeks and recieved no other rewards just a faction hit and some money.

What is SPawn time on Nillipuss
RE: Spawn Time
# Mar 12 2001 at 7:32 PM Rating: Good
Killed him 3 times so far, spawn time seems to be around 3 1/2 hours, and time seems to vary slightly. Out of the times i killed him he dropped jum jum only twice 2 one time 1 the other. The time he didnt drop any jum jum i was right where he spawns, by young hafling just past the water fall, and i would have to agree that you have to let him steal jum jum from garden before killing him although this is only from one time without dropping jum jum. The other two times i stumbled across him while passing through. Would like to know if this quest can be done by someone higher than 20 ive heard conflicting information on this and would appreciate any info. Thanks and hope this info helps.

Just was lucky and Nilipuss ran across my way when I entered Rivervale. Nuked him, got two jumjum stalks, a arrow, a few coins and even a bit exp. Ran around a bit more, then wanted to put the jumjum stalks into the bank. When I checked, only one was left. I must have eaten the other. So better be careful and put those in the Bank fast or at least don't put them in your inventory before your regular food supplies.
How to do this quest.
# Dec 30 2000 at 3:24 PM Rating: Good
k, heres the scoop. First off. the jumjum on that appears as large bag sacks in the field identify as "stolen jumjum". after nip steals them from the field when you loot them from him they identify as nips jumjum. this is the one you want. I havent been able to fully test this yet but, I picked up 5 stollen jumjums off the ground before he spawned, I droped 1 in the field and gave 4 of them to him as he was running to the field. when he got to the field and stoll the jumjum I droped I killed him and looted 2 of his jumjums. I was going to try droping 8 stollen jumjums on the ground but I waited for 3 hours and he didnt spawn or he did and somebody killed him. anyways, giving him jumjum does NOT work. however, I believe that droping the stollen jumjum in the field where he steals it will give you back his jumjum when you kill him. Hope this helps everyone. If anyone has an exact spawning /loc on him please let me know so I can ward people from killing him before he gets to the field.

Ok, I have killed Nillipuss 4 times and only recieved 3 "Stolen Jumjum". Do Not know if these were handed to him or what, but I have never gotten any "Nillipuss' Jumjum" off him, and only aquired a few in a shop. Rather annoying.

Oh, and these stolen jumjums were on him after he gave the "I stole the jumjum" message.
