This dude is a joke 4 real . I just solo'd him with my 46 Necro, Loketu Da'brain on ZEK PVP server and gave the 2hander he dropped to my pet for fun . Most of my dots got resisted exept for leach and boil blood but thats all I needed . Cake sauce imo.
Soloed The Spire Lord tonight with my 65 Druid, KEI, regen, Pot9, and maske of the hunter.
Not being able to snare or root can be problematic due to aggro from some wandering mobs when kiting this guy. Got him down with Swarming Death and Breath of Ro.
Dropped the blade for me...nice little present for one of my alts.
Ran my 62 beast up there- used incapacitate anf venom on him- sucker ht me off the top for 671- Threw a couple Sorshas on pet an Lord was dead quickly. I didn't have to melee him at all- and was a nice dark blue to me.
killed this guy twice now. i had focus of the seven, virtue and KEI on me both times. fully selfbuffed, and at 5k+ hp and 1300+ AC. start out with a dot, and i have time to put in three-four arrows before he reaches me, then i hit Weaponshield disc on, nuke him with all my nukes, then start whacking away til he dead. im left with around 20% hp after fight.
has dropped the blade and cloak so far. Blade is worth 960-ish tribute points, and the cloak is 620.

65 Beastlord and Pet. Ok gear and spells. I sicced my pet on him, and dotted with Scorpion Venom, Plague. Then I had him with Ice Shard a few times. Healed my pet, then engaged in Melee. He flurried twice, but hits like a girl. Max was like 150 I think. He dropped the cloak.
I used to regularly camp this guy with a monk friend, and he was always easy...we just did it for fun.
I solo'd him today just because I was passing thru. He was an easy kill for this lvl 65 shaman. Quiessence helped neutralize his unslowable-ness. Pets, epic dot, and Blood of Saryrn took care of the rest.
I killed the 2 spirits near him at one corner, then I pulled him and ran him around in a tight little circle. The most challenging part was not falling off LOL
You get to him through this little tunnel in the ground at the bototm of the gargantuan spires.
Anyway, I went up there invised, got on the ledge, rooted everything near him, and DoTTed the lord. Got nuked for 600, don't know by what, figured I was good as dead. Had him do laps around the zone for 30 minutes while I was snaring adds and DoTTing him. Loot sucked, just did it for the bragging rights.
Well if he cannot be snared, rooted, mezzed or feared... he sure can be stunned, dotted and nuked to death LOL... It was a very fast fight considering it was 3 paladins(54,52,52), 1 cleric(52), 3 druids(58,56,53), 1 mage(upper40's), 1 ranger(49), 1 enchantor(mid40's)
Innitial pull was very hectic due to him chasing our 58 Druid who pulled. I finally decided to force stun him and that stopped him dead in his tracks. After that we made minced meat out of him by chain stuning. We could have taken him out with a lot less. But you need the chain stuns to keep him out of commision ;)
This Spire is a Paladins heaven for knocking out the evil. Get Nife up and proc away ;)
Oh and he dropped the Cloak of Torment!
Cuzack Qualinestheart MacClain Cavalier of the 52nd Light Officer, Legion of Divine Light Karana Server
btw he can be easily soloed by a 63druid, just run around casting your DoTs when you get a good distance from him, 4 kills so far, got -cloak -cloak (had to let rot >_<) -blade -cloak dunno if i'm just lucky that the the crown hasn't droped yet or if its a rare drop =)
dont know the exact time but i know its more that 2 hrs 30 minutes if that helps. killed him and ran around for 2 hrs till i got tired of waiting for him to repop
Before PoP came out I was bored, so I pulled The Spire Lord to the entrance of the Grey and pet/dot kited him until he died by myself...that's right solo.
His loot was the crown both times I did this... very lame indeed.

My Gods will becomes me. When he speaks out, he speaks through me.
First to quell some rumors - noone snared him and noone slowed him. He is immune to both.
However, he is soloable - did so this morning. He doesn't have a lot of hp - he just lifetaps a lot. Neurotoxin took off about 1 bubble each time I cast it so he has about 5k hp. Between me and 61 pet he dropped fairly quickly.
I fought the Spire Lord this morning. Very close call because I was unprepared. Ate the Harm Touch then 2 dots. Luckily I was able to dispell it. I snared him, then jumped off the spire and took him over to a corner with only a few wanderers. Charmed a few critters and let them do all the fighting for me. He flurries often, casts, boiling and heat blood, Invoke fear, and a Lifetap that hit for 280. After I got him down to 30% I started chant kiting him. Dropped only the Crown of Torment.
Fought this guy the other night, with me (54monk) a 54 druid and a 60 wizzie. This guy is mean... He has a hell of alot of HP and FLURRYS for about 150. That, no cleric, and adds keeled us off. Im sure if we had a cleric, or a formal tank, we might have taken him down, but this guy is not to be taken lightly.
Did him tonite with 3ppl 2 the first attempt but that didn't go well when the wizard stopped runing when he was 4% to nuke we both got stomped hard then. 60wiz and 55ranger. So we called a necro friend in 56necro and we stomped him back took all of 3min for the 3 of us to kick his butt right back to the other side. Dropped the cloak and really not worth the trouble to kill for his loot just Doing it FOR REVENGE he took me and wiz buddy out 10lvls ago Now he got his MUHAHAHAHA
The DDs vs Undead work just fine on this guy. Almost always for full damage. We killed him last night with a handfull of people, and we had two clerics nuking to their hearts' content. Went down fast.
56 Shadow Knight, 58 Monk, 52 Ranger, 57 Shammy, 54 Wiz, 47 Cleric.. and he was down in about 15 seconds.
SK pulled from spawn point, beautiful single pull, and after rolling his ass down the Spire, taking about 1/2 HP with him, he finally got it back to the mSeru zone where we were all hanging waiting for inc.
Spire Lord is definately a gimp with the right people, with the right quips, with the right skills. Too bad he only dropped the crown.
Looks like best way to do this is crawl up, smack him without getting aggro from the others-- jump off, invis as to not get any adds, and run straigh to camp, making sure that the Lord can catch up with you (he's a slow one).

We had a group made up of 2 clerics (lvl 40, 48) 1 monk lvl 45, 1 rogue lvl 49, 2 warriors (lvl 40 and 51) We also had 2 chanters who are pretty useless for him. (We had our usual group of friends) Was real tough, but we killed him with no deaths. He almost ran both clerics out of mana healing the 51 warrior. I was the 45 monk and took no damage. Thos flurry attacks are killers. 51 warrior almost died 3 times. He dropped the cloak.
at 51 he was blu con so i said..why not,i had some lvl 60 clr, shm,&kei buffs,so i was feeling cocky,i did have a bad feeling about it but if ya dont try you cant learn from your mistakes,he wooped me real quik,& the cr was even more fun(silly rangers)
Here`s a little more info on this Evil ghost ! I was board with my 60 monk so I thought I would have a look around the ML zone. I found my way up to the platform where the spire lord hangs out. I killed a few greater spire things along the way without any trouble and decided to pull the lord. He opened up with a 671 HT , then starts to attack. He hits hard upto 176 a hit , he flurries ALOT too and to cap it all hes a necro so he like to cast invoke fear you and various other Necro spells. All in all I was lucky to get away , I realised he was too much for me with about 10 secs of battle so I started to run. I got to the top of the stair way and he feared me , lucky for me my safe fall is max cause I droped right to the bottom without taking damage. Taking no chances I did a FD at the bottom and he didnt follow. Nasty mob and he has got to be a minimum of 50 , 671 HT , 176 Hits and Flurry attack.
Just because the Monk is unaware that necromancers are incapable of the skill Harm Touch, doesn't mean you have to act like a jerk. You could have just reminded them that Shadow Knights are the only class endowed with insidious gift of the Harm Touch, much like the Paladin is the only one gifted with the mirrored ability of the Laying of the Hands.
It's just too bad that the HT doesn't hit for a maximum damage of the SK's hp like the Pally does the LoH for the max of the receiver's hp, heheh. One touch and Whammo!
Funny how this old thread talks about not knowing some other classes abilities.
-It's just too bad that the HT doesn't hit for a maximum damage of the SK's hp like the Pally does the LoH for the max of the receiver's hp, heheh. One touch and Whammo!
LH does not work like that. Standard LH only heals a percentage. It barely moves a lvl 65 warriors HPs which is why Improved LH AA is needed to be effective.
It only barely moves a level 65 warriors HP because LoH can't heal more than the paladin's own HPs, and because it doesn't heal hitpoints added by buffs or items.
I group of mine killed him, barely. 56 Paladin, 56 Ranger, 56 cleric, 50 something necro, and a 52 bard. I don't know if they made a change to him, but as soon as we started fighting, the cleric blasted with an undead blast, and the Spire Lord ported the cleric to his bind spot... said something like, you don't belong here.. and poof, cleric was gone. Nearly got the group killed, but had LoH up and had wave of healing up, that is the only way we lived. Made me really angry that this mob could port someone out, and it was the cleric. He dropped the cloak.
mostly because you dont see anything under the hood of a nazgul, because there is nothing there, they are ghosts, with the spire lord you see his eyes.
Tried to take this guy solo first as 60 paladin. Ended up zoning him. Later was playing 60 paladin and 54 shaman. So I tried him again. Shaman slows got the message that he is immune to changes in attack speed. So you can add unslowable to the list. Got him to about 15% but I think I can take him next time. Wasn't totally prepared for him and bad pathing made me waste mana.
Seems easy enough to just fight him where he is. Most of the mobs up there are stationary. Like 2 max that roams. And the respawn of them isn't very fast.
Have yet to attemp this bugger yet. Me 947th Chanter) and a 54th Mage buddy were hunting Grey zone in Mons, GREAT spot btw. So we got cuious and carefully explored the tower. The Lord conned Yellow to me, so must be 48th 49th, i believe. And if I remember correctly he did NOT see thru my invis, or at least he conned indiff, but I MAY be wrong on this.
Had full group, 54warrior, 54cleric, 53bard, 50enchanter, 49warrior and 47ranger. Lord was level 48 according to cons, but this badboy wiped out the ranger and 49warrior almost instantly. Cannot be rooted, stunned or snared so the enchanter (me) was only able to tash and dot, with the odd nuke. This guy has very high magic resist as half the spells hit. He has at least 10000 hps and hits in the mid to high hundreds. Our group should have been able to take this guy out easily but needless to say this undercon forced us to run for it. Perhaps our strategy was off, but who would have thunk one level 48 mob could clean this groups clock. Be careful around this guy. :)

Leved and selo'd up, ran up to the top of a cliff, targetted him, ran under platform, occluded - he came out of long tunnel single. Had 3 Stonegrabbers add but just chant kited him for 15-20 minutes - dropped like a stone, tried to cast on me but resisted all but 45 point lifetaps. Opens with a 671 HT. Dropped Cloak of Torment
I had a group waitin to zone into The Grey for some snake killin and our druid picked him up on track. He managed to solo pull him to zoneline of The Grey and we proceeded to take him down. Like other posts he is resistant to the various spells mentioned. He Flurried a few times but that was about it. He casts a few spells of the SK/Necro nature as well. He dropped the cloak for us and in my opinion its a great cloak for casters. AC 10 is huge for casters and the +4 to strength, int, and wis is icing on the cake. Not a bad return for a few minutes work.

He was way easy and dropped a ring that gave 10 million to every sta, 10 million to hp and mana, and 10 million to every resist. So barehanded I can hit for 5 billion damage. For some reason though, i didnt lvl up when I kiklled him. So I went to pof and killed cazic in 1 hit and i instantly went to lvl 60

#Anonymous,
Posted:Jan 24 2002 at 3:59 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Oops...forgot on my post below:
Myself (55 mage) and a 53 ranger took him out last week. Had the ranger stand UNDER the platform and cast an ae rain (ranger spell? Item? No idea). This aggroed Lord and 1 or 2 of his buddys. Ranger trains them to me, where my pet grabs em. Ranger zones.
Afterwards it's just a matter of running my ass off until the ranger zones back in...hehe. Rangers chained his bracer dots to keep aggro while pet beat it down from behind. (gotta turn pets taunt off of course)
Took almost 30 minutes at this rate =) Heres some stats for y'all, if ya wanna attempt it:
Spire Lord CAN be rooted, but not snared. (I don't know about mez). Even BEFORE I Malosied him, the PET'S roots were holding, but even AFTER malosi, the rangers snares would bounce.
Sidetip for mages: Chuck the Earhtpet...the root sticks and the Lord smokes that there pet in about 10 seconds...Use air.
Spirelord HT's for a max of 701, quads for up to 175, flurries, and casts a host of Necro/Sk spells (although not too often and easily resisted)
Although he cannot be snared, SoW easily outruns him..even JBoots. I suggest either SoWing pets, or casting Velocity on them. The worst part of doing this in this fashion was the Stonegrabber adds...luckily they seemed to aggro on the ranger and not my pet =)
Dropped the Cloak of Torment, which is his common/always drop. Other drops are actually rare.
Oumn Bladestorm 55th Magician of Rallos The Tinkers
Look, im gonna say this once and once only.. Being an experienced pet wielder i can VERIFY that Elemental Root Attack can and will stick on mobs that are deemed "unrootable/snareable" .. yes it is true.
WHile chain petting Titans , anoth unrootable 5 different mob, i useually dont let a mob kill the pet before a fresh pet is out, so when i /pet get lost and new comes out i noticed that the Titan (specifically Snowbeast and Giang Yin) didnt attack me a few seconds.. So i wait to test this , and i wait.., and i wait, 20 or 30 secs later Snowbeast comes after me finally so i send pet in.... um bash is only like 3 secs at the very max..
The very same thing happened when i kited this fool. tried to soled him, led with char, to gain agro, pulled to zone line in grey, and pet assumed agro, renuked(with pet taunt off) and preceeded to lead the kite in the very largest veiw to see when pet regained agro finally... needless to say , this fool was rooted many times and killed 4 or 5 pets from this... got him to half before i had to zone..
So yes this fool can be rooted , at least be the mages earth pet. yet druids, and other root classes get the "cannot be affected by movement spells" message just like the Astral Titans but, i personally have observed this phenomenon
Dunno what else to say, just thought i would point out my observations, hope it helps somebody.. or at least a mage ditch that earth pet lol
Dont con anything as a pre cursor to guessing if you can whack it. Dont believe me, go try the named shroom in Echo Caverns who DOES summon, and is level 35 as conned by my level 35 cleric. Seems that with every mob ive ever seen summon or death touch you either have to nuke or stick a dot which causes HUGE aggro ( as in some of my 58 necro's meaner dot's) before theyll do anything about it. As for this clown, has a Necro attempted it? Please tell me any Necro worth his robe lvl 55+ didnt die to this BOZO. Try using low aggro dots like splurt and the uber weak axe new undead dot we have, along with undead slowing his "super fast attacks" and you can end this fight with a good vexxing mordinia followed with as many deflux's as you can land while he is whacking on you for the 30 seconds he remans alive =P
It its true that he is unstunnable, unrootable, unsnarable, and unmezzable, however he can be tashed for other magic nukes, and he is undead so IoN and undead DD\DoTs work. 50 paly, 51 ranger, 52 cleric, 51 bard, 53 warrior, and a 47 chanter took him out, but it took us 3 tries. Main problem was that we didn't know he was immune to all the spells when we first took him, so he agroed all over the place (at the chanter, cleric, bard, etc) Second time our bard tried the new SoL bard rune song, which wasted all of our clerics (and my) mana trying to keep heals up. (note: that rune song is evil and plays chaos with agro) Third time we let the warrior get 60 seconds of agro with a CH or 2 and then we let him have it. He conned even to me at 50 and dropped the helm which was promptly rolled off for cash loot as that we all had better gear.
me(45 cleric) 50 pally 53 shamen 47 bard and 58 wis had a hard time taking him..hardest part is pulling from his tower...pally died, bard had to zone adds, so wiz and shamen ran him around in circles trying to nuke and i healed :( we killed himm and he droped a helm: AC12 2str,sta,cha all/all. I dont think he was really worth it :( but i know he has some really really nice drops. Bets way we found to pull is: you can invis all the way to him, he is the only one who see through, have lev, pull him, walk over the edge and invis, he will come down throught tower and will not bring ads if you are invis..he will have like 2 friends form pull thourgh..good luck
Well reading what everyone has said, if he HT's for 701... he's level 50. I know someone said that his HT did 621 to them.. but sometimes it doesn't do full damage, and since he used HT he's an SK, not a necro. Level works out with what everyone said too... yellow to 49, red to 44, blue to 52, blue to 60. I haven't tried him yet.. but maybe I can get my guild down there and try to take him down with a group or two =)
I managed to solo this guy, as a level 60 druid, running him around the zone (note is unsnarable), using Spirit of Eagle to dominate the landscape, and Koadics Endless Intellect to keep the mana flowing (along with Protection of the Glades and Mask of the Hunter) casting only Winged Death (28 times @ max 1287 per throw).
The fight (if you can call it that) lasted just short of 30 minutes.
Good fun dodging and snaring the Stonegrabbers in between.
First time dropped Cloak of Torment, this time Blade of Loathing.
