. . . On Al'Kabor server. The only time I've seen them last very long once they spawn in the broken building next to the bar was the time they killed my poor wee monk. Ever since, though I'd like to even the score, the Toilmaster kills them on sight and he's usually within aggro range of them. I think one of the Troopers nearby even helped him do it when one started running before the Toilmaster nailed him.
I've never seen them in the Field of Bone entry-cave.
More's the pity. I'd like to take out more of them.
I walked up to 3 of these at level 2, conned them (white) and decided to take them on. I took them all out with 98% health left. These things are W-E-A-K!
The Trooper Scale Pauldrons Quest (Iksar Warrior only) requires you to give a poison to one of the froglok slaves. You recieve Froglok Remains from doing so. I think that the hand in sdespawns whichever froglok you give the poison to.
They aggro anythin in level range under them. all others that are higher are ignored by them. If 1 joins in, all others join in too. The guards will not help you as they are slaves. They run pretty fast and constant cat-mouse efforts can be frusterating.
Tactic: Try to get them with a bash or stun spell to stop them. necromancers clinging darkness spells are good too.
Exp: They give off bad exp if it conned white to you...
Well who do you think they are a SLAVE to? lol. They are most likely enslaved by the Froglocks... I am looking to RAISE faction with the lizards... will these do? what do I kill? what is their mortal enemy?
I've gotten no faction notice and have purposefully gone to the ruin they are in and killed them and even come across a few in the tunnel to FoB. Sides they are only in E.Cabalis and if you are KOS you can't even get to them without some good camo/invis/illusion/or alliance spells. Check the faction tables to see what can be done for faction.
I know there is the newbie 4 bone chip quest but you have to give them to a guard at the FoB gate and there is a crusader there so if you are KOS your SOL with that quest.
I had just dinged so I decided to go back to Cabalis and look around. Well then I see these things. I think "Wow Froglocks. They must be for a quest. I will go hail them" I walk up to them and BAM! 10 hit points gone. I ran to the guards but they didn't help so I ran to the field of bone zone and I GOT THREE MORE ADDS! I made it out with 3 hit points left. I will NEVER make another Iksar again:)
listen when i was a level one necromancer these bloody things killed me and i was never able to get my body back i kill every single one i see in memory of my poor brood of kotiz robe
Yeah right. I was so annoyed when I first made my Iksar shaman and saw these guys. I said to myself, "Cool, Froglok Slaves. Wonder what happens if I hailed them" (yes very stupid). They ran up and attacked me to my very surprise. I ran to the guards and in horror I see no help from them. They riped me apart like the lvl 1 trash I was. But now, I kill them every time I walk past them. Dont see any Froglok Meat and they seem to have no faction with the Frogloks of Kunark. All they have is some pocket cash.
yeah i was level 3 when i got attacked by them- i ran and swam through cabilis for about 3 min- i had buffs on from a nice shaman and then i finally zoned into swamp of no hope- kinda wierd but fun
I also got killed at lvl 1, but I was a warrior, and at the time, I was a newbie, because I lost my guild scroll. I was walking out of sebillis, and I walked to the left and saw them, they must like to haunt me, because once I was looking at equpment and froglocs started attacking me! How stupid is that?
I was by the Court of Pain when 3 or so of the slaves seemed to jump out of the water and attacked me. Not sure if they came from somewhere else or if they could have spawned in the water somewhere. Is there anywhere to run besides zoning where someone will kill these things? Was a level 1 necro at the time and got killed fairly quick.
These guys actually spawn in the broken building between the bank and the bar (I can't remember the name of it at the moment) with the toilmaster. When the Toilmaster leaves for the bar the brgin the trek to the entrance from field of bone. In the morning they despawn in the cavern and respawn back in the broken building.

First of all, it should be noted that 3 of these slaves spawn in the cave that you have to go through when going from East Cabilis to Field of Bones. Once spawned, they will stay there (immediately on your left as you are leaving the city) for a few moments and then march inside the city.
If you are too low of level to fight these uppity slaves (1-2, perhaps 3 depending on your class), then you can easily avoid them as long as they remain in the cave by keeping to the right and quickly leaving the neighborhood. If you run into them while they are marching up an isle, you should try to zone as soon as possible since city guards apparently don't feel like dirtying their hands with mere slaves.
At levels 3 and 4, these same 3 froglock slaves can be killed for fun and profit solo, but you have to keep in mind that they try to run away VERY early, at about 50% of their lives. What this means to a young Iksar is that once the first slave begins to run, you will be chasing him while the other two slaves are hitting YOU in the back. Then, once you kill the first one and turn your attention to the second slave, the same sequence of events will repeat itself. Be careful lest you run out of HP before your opponents do.
Since the loot on these creatures is quite poor by Kunark standards and HP loss, not to mention the risk of death, is likely to be considerable due to the circumstances outlined above, they are not a very good prey for young broodlings, unless, of course, you are doing it in the name of spreading pain and suffering, in which case more power to you!
You gotta love the sound of their feet when they walk!!! Also you have to hate them if they were the first thing you ran into as a level one shaman!! Why are they attacking me in the city?? But alas everquest is a game of get killed then hunt them down when you are stronger!!
I can not attest with absolute certainty to this, but I do not believe that ALL froglock slave spawns are level 2. I have confronted the froglock slaves at level 4-6 and have found in some cases a lone froglock slave is capable of giving a young shaman a serious beating, and sometimes even death.
It appears to be worth noting that the troopers will not assist you, and so zoning is the only viable option if you are set upon by these ungracious slaves.
