Bored and doing the hunter achievement I worked on this place for a couple hours, kept clearing hexagon room and it wouldnt spawn. This morning decided to try clearing all the mobs in the zone and within a minute or two of clearing the yard trash he appeared inside.

I've been camping the lesser blade fiend on Aradune on and off for an hour or two at a time across three weeks now with no luck. Yesterday (12/2/20) I finally decided to camp it for the long haul. Starting at 9:50 a.m. I camped the hex room where this spawns, keeping the room clear and also clearing any roaming mobs that move through the main floor of the house. At around 10:35 p.m, after roughly 12 hours and 45 minutes of camping, the fiend finally spawned and immediately left the room through the back doors onto the grounds. This was my first experience with camping for that long in EverQuest and I was ecstatic when it popped. It spawned at level 20. I killed it slower than you'd expect (I'm a L40 Paladin at the time of writing) due to the fiend parrying many of my attacks. Once I killed it it dropped the dagger Pugius and I earned the Hunter of the Estate of Unrest achievement (this was my last rare for that zone). Happy hunting!

I noticed that I have killed the lesser blade fiend two time.
the time of day was at 2:30pm est. Game time 7:00 pm
Spawns from the out side door from the hex room and walks the hall way to the front of the house
and makes a right. Parks for a while, then walks back.
I want my chanter pet to be one of these. The Fiend looks AWESOME.

spawned for me as the wandering mob that goes through the outside door and comes back and goes down the hall. didn't even auto agro on me was lucky I came back to my computer and it ran thru me lol. bout 3 hrs total.

This mob was added to the hunter achievement. I am on about 6 hours clearing for this guy...
This did spawn after about 8 hours. For me it popped as a wandering mob in the hallway between the backdoor to the house and MR camp. So be active and clear more than just the octagonal room.

I was in unrest today with my 23 warrior and no sooner had I gone in the front doors than this thing comes at me. Been in unrest a long time with various alts and only just saw this. droped Pugius.
i found him around the corner with my cleric when i was pulling :( me and my group mopped the floor with him :p

I've only seen this thing once, and it killed me, along with seven other mobs. I was fighting it on the back porch, but I'm assuming someone pulled it from upstairs. In fact, I haven't the slighest idea where it came from. darn, I didn't get a chance to loot it...

The most common place I have seen them and it USED to spawn, was if you go around to the big back doors... he was there, and there often.... used to be.

Yeah, in the last couple of weeks I've seen it once by the front doors and once between the back door and side doors. Seems to be a rare random spawn and is the only mob so far in Unrest that's been KoS to my Druid in Wolf Form.

I ran into this thing last night, in Unrest. I have been hunting there for quite a long time, and had never seen this. Last night, lo and behold, I came running in the front door and it was spinning in the left front corner (it is just a bunch of spinning blades and shields, like a rock dervish with blades). It conned green to my 33 paladin, but I killed it anyways, since it is rare. It dropped easy for me, and had the Pugius. For a named weapon from a rare spawn, this dagger is really weak. It is kind of fast, but has no stats. So, this thing still spawns, but I believe it is rarer than the Priest of Najena. I have seen the Priest 3 times in Unrest. Twice he tore me up and I barely survived. The third time (last night as well!) was the charm, and I killed him. I have only seen the Blade Fiend this one time.

I am a 31 paladin on Tallon Zek, and this mob conned light blue to me, suggesting that it is higher than lvl 20. I looted the Puglus from its corpse. While talking to a friend, I learned that he only spawns like once per month.

I am a lvl 17 Iksar Monk and I saw this spawn today. They do still spawn and I did loot a Gladius.

people, i have been hunting in unrest for 3 levels now and have never seen this punk. I hear he has a decent sword and ineed some exp. does anyone know his spawn time? and btw, he does spawn at back door. and another, different one spawns in magi room , etc, there are about four of them but they all have different spawn times. I want to know if anyone knows the spawn time of the one at the back door in the round room.

Saw him today on the MT server - spawned at the back door (leading into the octoganal rooom at the base of the back tower). Dropped the Pudgius. First time I've ever seen him and I've hunted here quite a bit.
On Terris-Thule, less then 24 hours ago. I killed one.. So they still spawn. he never Riposte or parries my attacks... I rooted and nuked him to death. he spawned behind the double doors from the back porch on the first level. (I cut and pasted). We also looted the Gladius. Its not a great weapon, most so if you wanted to give a low level noob/alt a decent magic weapon to start with. Anyone know if that things gives off light? or do all magic weapons?

I've killed the blade fiend twice and looted Gladius twice. I Love these blades, good with duel wield for my ranger on Quellious server.

I found this MOB in the hall outside the round room about a month ago. The Pagus is a pretty good newbie dagger. Not a hard kill, but as that was the only time I have seen the MOB, a rare spawn.

Today i ran into someone who was hunting it and showed me the Pugius as proff that it still spawns. He told me it spawned in the back room about every hour but i never seen it so i don't know if that is ture, i thing it is more random.

Saw him on 6/27/01 in the hallway that leads from the backdoor to the penthouse thing...It looked cool, and conned green, so I decided to smack it. Many Ripostes, parries, but not a hard hitter. I think it maxed for 34. Anyway, I beat it down to low health, then stood with it on the porch for about 2 min..took a screenshot and made the kill, seeing as I'd never seen one before.Looted Pugius, looks to be a piece of crap, but I dont know..
I am on Zubuxxoruk and I went to unrest for a guild raid yesterday (RAH!!!! FAITHFUL KNIGHTS RULE - plug is necessary) and am a lvl 22 ranger. I saw nothing at all called a lesser blade fiend the whole time and neither did my entire guild, not even on track and believe me, all who had track were looking for them. Other than the gladius there are no weapons there worth mentioning, only fine steel ones. The Pugius isnt even that great, but the thing is, I couldnt find a lesser blade fiend in order to get the gladius. Any ideas?

I zoned into a train last night that consisted of 2 lesser blade fiends, 2 jacks and a wisp. I would have stuck around to fight if the odds had been a little more even (lol). I did get hit several times by the fiends before I could get back to the zone. I did not take a great deal of damage. I did have shieldskin on when I zoned in so the first few shots from them was taken care of by that. It seemed that they were hitting rather quickly for not a great deal of damage (of course many times at a little is the same as a few times for alot and worse for a caster due to spell interupt.) I plan to do a little more "study" on these guys to see if what happened last night is their usually modus operandi.

I have killed this guy many times. I believe he drops the Gladius about once out of every four times. As for his level I would say he is about 19 to 22. There is no way he can be level 14.

Jus to add onto my own comment, I have changed what I believe his drop rate to be. I think it is more of a 1/3. He also is about level 19 to 22 but seems to hit a bit faster than one would exspect.

I had enthralled it and was waitin for my group to reform in the front by the fountains and the druid nuked and KSd from me! Anyhow, I'm level 20 and it conned yellow to me. Friggin druid musta been from another country or just plain ignorant, because after I scolded it for KSing he just ran off oblivious. Druids CAN be cool at times, this jerk-off just gave you all a bad name!
Just curious, were you actually engaged in combat and the druid KS'd it? Or did you just see it and were waiting for your party to come so you could attack. I have been acused of KSing when people were just sitting and watching a MOB expecting everyone to just wait for their party to show up. If you were engaged in combat and the druid killed it then BAD DRUID. If you were just watchin it waiting for your party to form tough luck, the druid did nothing wrong!!

Reread the post - he had enthralled the MOB - I don't believe that he meant to say the MOB found him irresistibly attractive, rather that means he it, entered into combat with it, cast a spell upon it, i.e. they were in combat mode at the time. I understand the sometimes incessant urge to protect one’s chosen class or correct what are the perceived defects in another’s post. Just read the damn thing first! His second sentence answered your question. Had you read past the accusation that a dr00d KS’d the MOB from his party you’d have known that.
BTW, I empathize with his situation because my main is a warrior and I frequently pull MOBs with my bow because it allows me to better pick which MOBs I pull and affords better control of the pull reducing the chance of accidental trains by over-pulling. I have frequently encountered casters (no one class is worse than any other) that don’t really consider a target engaged by me unless I am in close proximity and meleeing the MOB. On average I’d say two to three targets I engage over a two hour period may be KS’d from the party by soloing casters who can’t imagine how a warrior could engage a MOB from 100+ feet away.

I love the way people generalize players by there class. There's alot of nice people in the game, but there are also ***-holes in EVERY class. How about you just judge people as individuals if you feel the need to judge them at all?

I have seen one time and I have 3 characters 33, 19,19 and I have spent most of tlife in unrest with all 3 characters. I may be on wrong server, but I don't think that he spawns as much as somebody else was saying. It was just a accident ran right into him so had no choice,but to fight, but he did not attack first I did. I wish he would spawn more because good little sword.
