I took my 57 bard to Sol B with a 61 cleric and a 60 ranger so we could see if ragefire was up for the cleric's epic. We killed this spider 3 times and it droped the GSD every time. It jus roams around between the smasher-block and the FG castle, and has no particular spot since we found it in 3 diff places. Didnt try to charm or mez it, I had a spider pet at the time and just had it attack for extra melee. We didnt take any appreciable dmg at all. I think it hits for 50's and 60's tops. Usually did like 10-20 dmg a bite. It still poisons with its bite very often, but its not a serious poison. A simple cure pois spell from the cleric cleared it every time.

At lvl 35 i was fighting here and this guy got trained to the zone. He attacked me once and doted me. I zoned to safety and noticed my life was draining fast from full life. Being a pally, i started healing myself, when my life was down to half a bubble left, i remembered i have cure poison. I quickly memmed that and it took about 6 or seven times to cure me, i was left with 37hp left, and no mana.
The zone on low HP as I understand it. If you are low/dead on HP while zoning your armor counts as any extra HP so that you do not die on the zone. You can in theory die on the zone but depending on your armor (HP stats) you will be sent to safe zone in with as much HP as your armor includes.

My corpse was still in Split Paw. I petitioned and they said that is common at that zone. So be careful when zoning out of split paw and give your self plenty of buffer space on the hp bar when you zone.
DMF Adds: Levitate, Breath of the Dead (water breathing), Deadeye (see invis), and +64 to 70 poison resist, depending on the necro's level, and lasts just over an hour.
It has a very powerful Poison based DoT attack that inflicts 1200 dmg on the target so if you have a lvl 44+ necro in the group who has the spell DMF (Dead Man Floating) that gives the target: Levitate, Infravision and 70+ Poison resist for about an half hour. Necros are useful

Solo'd it as a 52 druid, not much problem. Buffed PR before picking a fight with him of course :) roughly 5k or 5500 hp sounds about right, but my roots held fairly well and I didn't have any unusual problems with resists. Only problem is you can't GIVE green silken drapes away, and i'm 3/3 on them, haven't gotten a bracer yet. Oh well
As far as casters are concerned the best thing you can do is to go buy the Green Silken Drape for about 300pp BEFORE you try hunting this spider for its Bracers. The Drape has a +15 poison resist and can be quite helpful. I know it is considered a newbie robe because it only has +3 int and has a fairly ugly green color to it, but it is quite useful in this particular situation.
Rolled and won the bracer two nights ago. I'm thinking of selling it and was told it used to be worth 7K but no one seems to know what the value is. Does anyone know a fair price to ask?
Yeah, this kinda sucked. My group got in trouble, ran to the zone, someone trained this idiot spider without telling, he poisoned me, I zoned, And some idiotic bug made me come out of the zone over by Nektulous zone where me group could not save me. Thanks a whole bunch Verant! woo!
That insane bug happens when you exit splitpaw as well... You will end up standing right next to the bridge to NK. It happens in alot of dungon zones it seems.
I agree, bug all the way, i've left highpass to zone into kith, but when i appeared, i was in front of rivervale. Not to tradgic. Also, one time in Oasis going into No Ro, i zoned and appeared in FP at the commons zone. So, bug.
It is not really a bug. It means you died while zoning and since you can't really die in the zone line it drops you at the safe spot for that zone you are entering.
That's a bit silly. I've exited Blackburrow twice, once when I wasn't even injured and wound up at the marker stone half way to Qeynos. It is definately a bug and might be happening when too many people zone at the same time. (Both instances were because of trains)
There are two ways to end up at the 'safe point' in a zone when zoning. Mainly you are at extremely low hitpoints when you zone and EQ sends you to the safe point on purpose - this is not a bug and was announce some time back. If you are not low on hitpoints and this happens then the lag causes it.
Verants thinking is that if you come into a new zone with almost no hitpoints they should put you someplace relatively safe, this supposedly should help more people than it hurts by keeping you from zoning into a fight. Unfortunately for you you were dotted when you zoned and nobody was there at the safe point to heal you.
FYI "extremely low hitpoints" is difined as below your base (nekked) HP or so an officer in my guild told me after a talk with GM Grog...Seems right from what ive experianced with it.
somewhere safe? HA! i was dueling a 52 warrior for fun in the great divide and we were going to get a port out. I was going to zone into Thurgadin to end the duel but when i zoned, i ended up at "a safe point in the zone." Thurgadin was down atm and there was no announcement. This "safe point" was surrounded by 4 shardwurms, one of which was a named that had killed me earlier that day!! safe point indeed.
P.S. Wurm who's name starts with a K, hits in the 250 area and nukes for 1240 dmg with a chaotic gravity spell.
Yes, the 'safe point' in oznes can be anything but for some people : example: in Gfay the safe point is one of the lifts to Kelethin. This can be a problem for evil characters :)
As a side-note, level 52 wizards have a spell called Abscond which is a self-only port to the safe point(theres a group version too, and I think druids have the same thing in Succor). For a list of zone safe-points, check out Graffe.com's Abscond project page
ah, I didnt know this guy was rare..I figured he got trained up from back behind the bat room...well he spanked my group 35-40..no cleric, we couldve took him with a 40 or so cleric I think
This is a roving spawn that has 3 different spawn location along the corridor from the Sol A (one back in Goblin Castle) and the Stone spider room. The Nox spider has a nasty poison based DOT that does about 600 HP damage.
there is only one spawn location.- this location is a cave left of the way up to Batbridge. U can find it where a small tunnle leads slightly down. on the left side of this open room u will see a sign of huge yellow spider on a black background. sounds of crawling spiders come up as u turn to it.
The appearance is easy.. Noxious will wait for approx 7 minutes in her room. as noone pulls her she turns up und moves a lil the path up and stops on the platform to bat bridge close to zone 4 to Solusek A. There she will wait for approx 2 minute. then she heads back to her room. waiting there for another 7 misn she moves to batcave 2 .. the room which u pass by heading to efreti when turning right. there she will wait again 2 minutes. then head back. She is pretty dangerous and hits well in 104 to 121. She casts a Deadly Posion spell on u which takes out 900 (on High Stamina) to 1200 HP (on low stamina). The strenght of this spell is differing. u need at least a minimum of 7 times cure poison and i havent used more than 10 times so far to get it off.
