If you plan on kiting him, kill his pet first. As a bard with Run5, his pet kept on bashing me allowing him to get a few hits on me. After his pet was dead, I chanted him down while resisting all of his spells.

Killed him today. he was a shammy, wolf pet and all. Droped Gloves of Fungal Flesh for me.
Spawned as part of the caller cycle on 1/28/04. Dropped Fungusbeast Spine (13/28 +2 disease piercer).
Chakizno also spawned later that night... had same dagger, so the loot tables appear to be shared, as far as the "common drops" go.. Still not sure what Chakno's rare drop is.
