No need for /loc
# Aug 05 2009 at 7:05 PM Rating: Decent
The easiest way to locate the payala fruit is to look for the blue leaf palm tree looking trees. Not every tree has them but would say about 97% of them do.

They spawn next to the trunk of these trees,(3-5 feet from trunk) all over the east central to lower side of caves in zone.

I found not a single payala fruit west of the caves marked on map.
There are many to find.

They seem to be a 10+ min spawn rate also.

No need to use /loc to locate them. Smiley: grin

Easy way to find
# Aug 05 2009 at 7:09 PM Rating: Decent
Use the chase camera mode (long as its not too far behind you) to see the trees that spawn the fruit and the payala fruit its self .
Just raise it up and out some to look for little dark blue mushroom looking ground spawns.

(I like to label the areas on map so its easy to head back to later)

There are 28 Payala Fruit locations. Here is a little more detailed list spawn locations for your map file. I put mine in Shadeweaver_3.txt to make it easier to turn them on and off:

i foraged 16 of these while farming condensed shadow. my forage skill is 200, and i spent a good deal of time farming, so i'd call this forage uncommon.
Copy and Paste

How do you copy and paste the locations into the map?
RE: Copy and Paste
# Sep 07 2005 at 10:29 AM Rating: Decent
Simply go to your Sony/Everquest/Maps folder & open the text file called Shadeweaver_1.txt in your favourite text editor (I just use notepad).
Scroll to the end of the file & just paste the info weegie has provided to us (Cheers Weegie).

I'm not sure what you're wanting to copy and paste, but if you're just wanting to mark stuff that you find or places on the backspace map, there is a compass (for math, not direction) in the lower right hand corner. Click on that and an editing window pops up where you can put your own points and labels etc on the map. You can even change the labels already there (for the zones that do have something there, unlike Shadeweaver's Thicket ;) ) by renaming them or changing their color etc. Wonderful features I think. Hope this helps.
spawning time

I am also collecting these for brewing skill. It is just too bad that this is the only zone that they zone in. If you ever pop into grimling forrest you'll wish they spawned under the blue trees there too!
Spawn Circuit
# May 21 2003 at 10:15 PM Rating: Excellent
ok, ive been farming these for Shar Vahl Essence to raise my brewing skill, collect ~27 per trip.

start at pok book go West to first grove,
second stop is just north of directly West,
third is almost directly North,
fourth NorthEast to the Loda Kai Camp,
fifth Directly East,
Sixth keep going East,
seventh is to the south towards the bank,
South to the bank to drop them off,
First grove is a long walk to the SouthWest.

Very easy to do if you can work your Sense Heading. the blue trees are what you are looking for, they stand out like a sore thumb. the Payala fruit is on the ground next to them and looks like a blue mushroom with a white stem.
