They have pills for people with snap reactions like that... Allow me to sum up what Renovan said (which i happen to agree with). If a weapon drops on a raid, Not all classes that can USE it might be able to roll, because it would just not benefit them. AKA The Lammy 9/19 6str/sta 20hp WAR RNG SHD usable. No SK in their right mind would use a Lammy, due to the fact that they get much better, aka the ever so common MOSS, 19/29 10int 1hb. Renovan says the truth, all raid leaders have choices like that to make and not everytime do all the listed classes get a roll.

Just my take on it.

"Ok here is my take on this whole "this is good for a monk/ or what ever class"
If a class is listed as a user, its good for that class. Period, end of story, no discution, no flame. if you can use it, get one, if not STFU"
I'd better hurry out and get a flowing black silk sash on my high elf enchanter. I mean, everyone loves that item, and since it's all/all, it must be GREAT for me too right?
This philosophy applies almost nowhere. The amount of items that are all/all that are actually usable to all/all you can count on literally two hands, and most of those are from dragons or gods. (Cazic's resist ring, the talismans from the dragons in WW, the heiro cloak) The other small handful of items that this philosophy applies to are the resist items. Crown of the Froglok Kings can be used by anyone just because everyone wants to go on a dragon raid one day, and that's definitely the best item for Nag and Vox, though it's still one of the best monk headpieces in the game.
Even in this situation, is the crown worth more to the 47-52 that puts on their crown MAYBE once a week for a dragon raid otherwise it just takes up bank space, or is it worth more to the 1-60 monk who will be wearing that item always.
Ok, what the original person said makes sense. They never said that it would be the best item for the classes that can use it, they just said that it would be good for them. Whether or not a person chooses to use it is up to them, and that depends on what they have currently.
and to the person that used that crown example: yeah ok, maybe it's worth more for the monk. that doesn't mean that a Crown of the Froglok Kings should be defaulted to a monk just because of that. it's useful for everyone else as well, whether they use it every day or not!
It's a decent suggestion, but it just frankly doesn't work all the time. Look at a very common, simple scenerio, if your camping gaurd in Seb and a Lam drops, assuming its' a NbG group, that means (according to you) The Shadowknight has just as much claim to it as the warrior/ranger now think real hard here for a sec (might be hard, i understand) now... even though SHD is listed as a class that can use it... should they get it? NO, SK's have much better weapons, and would be fools to use this over something as basic as a MoSS. So I'm affraid that philosophy does not work..on all the good raids i have been a part of, the raid leader looks at the item and does not (all the time) let ever class who can use it, roll on it. For very simple reason, certain classes benefit a lot more. Now true, it is stupid how much arguing and ******** goes on on this board, I can tell all those people have never themselves been on a raid where situations involving loot have arrised (that or they are loot whores, a very common thing) but your suggestion of "If a class is listed as a user, its good for that class." is completley erronious. Thank you.
I act as raid officer for my guild, and my primary function is to handle item lottos. I am tired of hearing what's best for what class. It's what works best for the player. If there was an ultimate combination for each class (armor, weapon, items, jewelrey) then this game would be no fun. In short- those of you who claim to be all and know all- shut the f### up. Go home and try to figure out how to type "I suck" only using symbols......idiots.
