Update:
This cloak was the reward for a GM event quest. Unless that event is again triggered by a GM, you may as well consider this a "no longer drops" item.
The quest giver was a druid NPC at the old non-working druid ring in Lesser Fay near the entrance to Mistmoore. If you see him there, you can hail him and see if the quest works...but as I said, this is a GM event thing so the odds of finding him up are not good.

I doubt it. Bloodboil was an undead sprite and Lfay hasn't been haunted since about 2 years ago.

ok guys i am new to EQ and would like to know does this cloak really exist anymore...the posts are so old and the cloak would be a great addition to my collection....please let me know
Is the quest NPC still up on Veeshan? I am levelling in Paludal right now and the +10 Disease on this cloak will really come in handy there.

No - LFay on Brell has been back to "normal" for weeks. I suspect this quest and others from the "altered" LFay will not return.
On the Druzzil Ro server, this quest is no longer active. I am proud to say my shaman, Dracca MacBearheart, is the proud owner of one of these cloaks, and the second on our entire server to have completed the quest. Mythus Mystery was the first, officially, to complete this quest on our server. ;)
Many thanks to Krown the Earth Keeper (forever Krown Heartoflight in my book, no matter what the GMs did to his surname) for being the one to speak up and let Dracca loot the wing, and do the quest just after Mythus. (Yes, this is not a "shaman cloak", but with my epic shield with the negative cha hit, this is indeed nice. And at the time, no one knew what we were going to get...)
PS ~ Some evil necro, as they are wont to do, came along and saw the blue con NPC ranger who gave the quests out, and decided to kill him shortly after I got my cloak. -_- I remember it was a few days before he reappeared (real life)... unless someone camped him for exp.

Hey all,
I was walking though LFay the other day, all effects of the who Cazic thing seem to have worn off. This being the case does anybody know if this quest is still active? I didn't see any of the corrupted fearies running around or any of the frightlings.

My lvl 14 druid was there killing the Bandits when i took down a few of these undead sprites, i have an eye, a tongue and a bone shard. Talked to the guy by drakes for the quest, but no info for the things i have. and any1 know when the fear starts to proc on this bone shard, didn't proc for me at lvl 14 against more of these little sprites (got insufficient will message though)

The ranger is on Faydarks Champions factions. Now to clarify the Plain of Growth issue. When you hunt in PoG you lose factions with all kelethin guilds (tunarian) and the seperate plainer (PoG)faction. Meaning if you hunt in PoG alot you should stay away from kelethin guilds and those npcs on those factions. To raise Faydark Champions faction you can kill blue orcs and hunt in crushbone. Also from my experiance on camping Bloodboil at the mushrooms it can take a very long camp to get a wing. An 8-18 hour camp is needed to get a wing to drop and you will not see many bloodboils spawn during that time.

Talisyn is NOT on PoG faction. He IS on either druid/ranger faction from kelething, not sure which. you can also tell this by the starting talk he has about being stationed there by <name> =P

I went to talk to the druid last night but he would not respond. What faction is needed to talk to him, and where can I get it improved? I have the wing, now I want my cloak!

Had a 30 Pally, 32 Warrior, Me a 32 Druid and a 29 Druid wipe the place clean! It was fun and a lot of action for the Tanks. They actually got tired of killing so much, lol. Anyway the Wing dropped on the second kill and no one else knew the quest except for me and I offered to roll for it and lost :o( oh well, I'm just too nice I guess.

Better have a high level enchanter if you want this ranger charmed. I'm a 48 enchanter and the ranger is blue to me. He is HIGHLY magic resistant. Once he was on me, none of my stuns would stick at all and he took me down pretty quick. I was charming for a 51 necro to complete the quest. He landed darkness on the ranger, and I was able to (finally) charm after a couple of more attempts. Necro did the quest and it worked fine.
Wing is not a common drop off Bloodboil...it's semi rare...Bloodboil is semi rare, too. Saw him once while camping there for 5 hours (I think I was unlucky)...I talked to the last person to camp BB before me. Took 5 or 6 bloodboils before she got a wing.

The tooth mentioned above is called a hagged shard of bone. It has the rat tooth graphic for inventory and a dagger when equiped. The real nice thing is that it is all/all. Yes, all. As a druid, I don't get pierce. But I CAN equip it in the primary slot and stab things with it! Nice for a druid to run around with a shiv!

I have yet to see any frightlings or this Bloodboil Chap on my server yet any word on when I get to play? I have been killing Thistle to kill time getting the braided ivy cords and still no new spawns in lesser fey. :(

Just curious where it says Charges: 1 does that mean it works once or does it refill? I haven't had any items yet with the Charges stat so I'm not sure on it. Thanks
it means you can use the effect once, but since it isn't expendable, you get to keep the item ofter you use the charge.

A Guildmate of mine was helping me get this Bloodboil guy since I'm only lvl 15 right now. Sadly, the camp was camped by a lvl 60 enchanter so we had to leave. But while there, a few of the little guys attacked me and my friend had to help me kill them. He let me loot them and I got a tongue. What do I do with it? I wouldn't ask if I didn't read that it's been added. Any help would be great. Thanks!

went there last night to see the fairy, are now small gargoyles. horrors take place of the central fairy and are SK now with harmtouch of 151 to 171, and blood boil spawns when you kill a lot of them.
bigger SK with harm touch of 271.
spawn rate is same as fairy, about a 15 min cycle or so... more on blood prob, since he has place holders. and he does spawn there in the center of camp... where the princess spawned.
loot was near the same as fairy: gems, dust, twicewoven, and such... with the addition of tongue, eye and a tooth.
the tooth, by the way, drops off the low lvls as well. the damage ratio is not great, 5/38 or so but has a fear proc that would be very nice to have in the weapons pack for emergencies!!!
