You people are funny as hell. I wear one of these with a windraiders belt as a SK. This class bickering on all items is just stupid-funny. This is a 100 HP item which makes it just as great for a SK. once you get your AC past 1300 you want HP ITEMS! The real funny thing is how many Necros OR SK raid NTOV much? The one who showes up gets the loot, nuff said.

This will be awarded to the most deserving person or whomever will get the biggest upgrade and will probably use it the longest. With that in mind, it will most likely be going to a necro because this item is an AWESOME necro item. SK's of this lvl and in a guild capable of killin this guy have a good chance of getting a back slot dragon haste item which would be more desireable(for me at least)and would put this item in the bank collecting dust.

Very true....and if i didn't have a haste backpiece I would rather have Grodan's Flowing Cape from ME...AC 35 Flowing Thought II IMO.
FT 2 is nice, at this level 35 ac isn't as great as it sounds, once you get above 1300, the returns on AC boosting drop off.
Perssonally I have my eye on this back item, would pass to a necro, but all ours hve already.
As far as haste goes, well with Rocksmasher, you doin't need a haste item, which changes your outlook on belts, gloves, and cloaks.
HP/Mana mean more to me now then AC Not going to scarifice what I have now, Not going to try for 1700ac either
The HPs will let me suck up more AEs, and the mana will let me cast more life taps, on mobs that it sticks on.
few things are as annoying as being oor of a heal against Lady "whirl-til-you-hurl" Nev and have to run over to the clerics to get a heal, then run back

This was buffed since some of these posts were made. 18 AC is nice and 100hp is nothing to sneeze at. As a lev 54 sk, I would consider this better than my Black Bear Pelt Cloak for many situations. The Dex and Int are nice stats which I could use.

I don't see what the ado is about. I can easily see this as either a necro or SK item. HPs, manna, INT, just as valuable for both (since necros drain their life for manna). AC and DEX will benifit SKs substantially more than necro, but not unevenly so as to make it an SK item IMHO.

im a 55sk on Terrew Marr and if this dropped and a necro was in need i would easily default to him *lets get somthing straight this is in no way a tank item * this is a necro item if a sk has on its just so he could wear around or somthing or say he had the reason it says so is sks are necros too but this is purly caster item nice job verrant though think its kind of funny =)

You know what, sure this is a crap cloak for a SK, but that doesn't mean it was "meant" for necros only, or it's a "necro cloak all the way." Read the bloody box, it says SHD NEC, that means it was meant for both. Doesn't mean it's advisable for a SK to use it, but ya know what who the hell cares. If an items has 8 different classes listed on it, then it's for all 8 of those classes, not just the one that it would be optimal for. Else those lovable crack smoking folks over at Verant wouldn't have wasted the lines of code to include all of those other classes.

ya know its funny, when people see this thing drop i wouldnt expect all the sk's to be jumping out of their seats...
this is a necro item all out, i dont think many sk's of level to get this said item would contest that... and man what is with the guys all blathering about "Should have ubber item X and Z by then"... grow up, grind a little harder and ya just may ding 10 =P

These tend to rot. Most of the SKs I work with have them just for the heck of it, because there just aren't that many necros around, and we've gotten unlucky by having this drop instead of his good loot. To be honest, it's rare for there to be more than one necro, and even one is kind of uncommon.

Why do newbs always say "By the time you get this or can get this." You Should have a pagasis hide belt, or cloak of piety or seblisian berserker cloak, ROFL. You can play this game 2 years straight and never win any of the uber haste items. Every time anything drops there are 20 ppl rolling on it, unless you get an RBG or SBC in sebilis, odds are like unlikely.

even if you don't have a haste item or whatever, you can buy a spider fur cloak 10 ac 4 str 4 sta 0 wt for 4-5k, not to mention HBC or heiro among other pricier alternatives. Anyways 4k is well within the budget of almost all 58+ players :p

Practically all our SKs got the end item while we were farming the spiroc lord for wingblade. There's an SK-only haste belt from deeper in ToV, too.

black bear cloak isn't that rare, and it's shadowknight only. so fairly easy to get, along with all kinds of other nice melee-statistic cloaks. cloaks of piety or of flames are rare, but those aren't the only things better for shadowknights of this level. i don't see why a temple-of-veeshan-ready shadowknight would want an ac 7 cloak anyway, but maybe i'm missing something...
however, necromancers rejoice =) this is roughly as good as the white dragonscale cloak! and a lot easier to get with no other casters capable of competing for it... if you're lucky enough to see it drop.

if an SK is using this then something is wrong, by the time you get this you should have a pegasus hide belt (41% haste) and something like a black bear hide cloak.
Actually, if the SK had pegasus hide belt, the cloak WOULD be good for him, as the belt goes in *gasp* belt slot, and thus he doesn't need to have a back slot haste item.
But, pegasus hide belt is the PoA quest belt, and not many guild hang out there, because of all the hassles with keys and multi day raids.

It's a pretty damn nice item for necro's, but I would hope most shadowknights are using a good haste item in their back slot by the time they can hunt in ToV. As far as I can tell the best haste items are Back slot items. If I'm wrong and their is a good waist slot haste item then this would be nice for the shadowknigh who has it. Otherwise it will probably always go to the necro.
